Panic surges through Koby at the painful and familiar sensation of a heavy fist to the back of his head. It sends him sprawling to the ground.
Before Koby moved, he tried to think about what he did wrong. He thought that he had accomplished everything he was given to do, maybe he had done a poor job? That had to be it.
“M-Ma’am, I-” he wheezed. His voice sounded pitiful. “I'm sorry, ma’am! I'll do better!”
