Summary:

Victoria threw herself on the bed, her feet now only covered by mismatched socks. She stared up, frowning slightly.

“I don’t know if I can commit to this apartment without testing this bed properly,” she finally said.

“Isn’t that what you’re doing right now?” Reiju wondered.

“Hmm.” Victoria’s eyes drifted towards her, scanning her up and down. “Seems comfy enough for sleeping. For other activities, though… Who knows?”

Work Text:

Reiju did one last tour of the apartment, making sure everything was just so. Sometimes it could be the smallest details that had the customer deciding against the purchase, and she was obviously hoping that wouldn't happen here.

Not just because of the commission she'd earn if this client made a purchase—something she definitely could afford ten times over—but because Reiju genuinely enjoyed helping people find their dream home. That’s why she’d originally picked this career.

The money was a nice bonus, though, she wasn't going to deny that.

Reiju liked to think that her astronomically good sales were due to her stellar personality and her obsessive focus on details. She researched every new customer, hoping to find something that'd help her add a personal touch to the process.

Sanji had once called it stalking, but he was one to talk. All the information she gathered was publicly available and more often than not, easy to find because nowadays her clientele leaned toward the super-rich. And most of them weren't shy about boasting on social media.

Today's prospective buyer was no different—Reiju had spent hours looking her up online. She was a member of a famous band whose career had been on an upward trajectory for a couple of years now. Reiju had heard some of their songs on the radio, and she'd listened to the full albums during her research. She wasn't an expert on the topic, but their music was certainly interesting, and she'd found herself especially enjoying the songs with female vocals.

Well, maybe she was biased. Moreover, she couldn’t help but notice Victoria—the rock star in question—seemed rather tight-lipped about her personal life both on her own accounts and in interviews. Whenever the topic came up, she tended to steer the discussion into her career or deflect it somehow.

Still, all in all, Reiju felt like she was well prepared for today's appointment. She'd reserved plenty of time for it, and seeing as it was her last showing for the day, she could easily work overtime if need be. No reason to ruin a sale by showing impatience.

The property in question was luxurious and brand new, the penthouse apartment in a recently finished building located in a trendy part of the city, with an ocean view and all. It was somewhere Reiju could've seen herself living in, too, had she been able to afford it.

She was so focused on staring into the horizon, admiring the seascape, that the bell ringing startled her. Normally, you wouldn't be able to just waltz into this building or use the elevator without living there, but she'd texted her client the code earlier.

“Welcome, welcome,” she said as she opened the door and extended her hand in greeting. “Vinsmoke Reiju, but you can call me Reiju.”

“Victoria,” her client introduced herself, clinging to her hand longer than was strictly appropriate.

“Do come in. I can walk you through the apartment unless you want some privacy, whichever you prefer.”

Victoria gave her an appraising look before replying, “You can stay.”

Not big on small talk, Reiju observed. Or pleasantries. Still, she could work with that, she could work with anything—she was a professional.

Victoria stomped into the living room, the sound of her platform boots no doubt echoing to the floors below. Based on her looks alone, one could've guessed she was a rock star even if one knew nothing about her.

It suited her, and she clearly knew it. Reiju had watched some of their performances on Tube and wondered whether Victoria dressed the same in her free time. Well, she no longer had to wonder.

Reiju had never gotten involved with a customer, but that didn't stop her from looking. Hard not to, with the way Victoria’s short, extremely tight skirt clung to her ass and rode up her thighs as she moved. She wasn’t wearing stockings, just smooth bare skin broken by one long, faded scar. Made you wonder whether she’d bothered with underwear, either.

That’s unprofessional, Reiju scolded herself even as her mind was wandering to the video she’d watched, of Victoria performing entirely topless on stage—

“It comes with the furniture?” Victoria asked, pulling Reiju out of her thoughts.

“Oh, yes. The decor is by a famous designer, perhaps you’ve heard of her—”

“I don’t really care,” Victoria said with a dismissive gesture. “I guess it’s a starting point, I can fix it later.”

“Of course, it’s up to you.” Reiju nodded along.

Most people would’ve been elated to boast about a famous designer’s work in their own home, but so far, Victoria didn’t seem impressed by anything. Didn’t bode well for Reiju’s commission.

“I hate the countertops,” Victoria said, slapping the surface as she circled the kitchen island.

“They’re marble.”

Victoria turned to look at her, an unimpressed expression on her face. “I hate rich people.”

Reiju couldn’t help the laugh that escaped her. “Aren’t you one of them?”

Victoria shook her head, impeccably styled hair shaking with the movement. “Not like that. I haven’t forgotten where I came from.”

“Why look into penthouses then? Wouldn’t some regular apartment do?” Reiju asked despite herself.

It probably wasn’t conducive to her business to ask questions like these, but she was curious, regardless. Rich people could be pretentious—her own family not excluded—but just because you managed to avoid those pitfalls didn’t mean you weren’t part of the same group.

Victoria let out a dramatic sigh. “Security. Can’t live wherever I want right now, there have been incidents… Well, some fans don’t fucking understand consent and boundaries.”

She moved to the living room area, staring out into the sea through the ceiling-high windows. “Could use the space too, Kid and Killer like to stay overnight. They’d probably move in if I didn’t kick them out eventually.”

“Your bandmates?” Reiju asked, although she already knew; she’d done her research after all.

“Yeah, but I’ve known them since childhood,” Victoria said, then let out a dry laugh. “Not that you care. How’s the balcony?”

Reiju wanted to protest. Victoria’s private life was none of her business, yet she found that she was interested in it. And not only because she was a famous musician, although that certainly added another dimension, but because she was so different from what Reiju had expected.

They made their way to the balcony, or the outdoor area, whatever you wanted to call it. Much bigger than your average balcony, it could fit a whole group of people comfortably. Covered in smooth, dark wood, it didn’t get too hot to walk on barefoot, even in the height of summer.

There were plants all over, adding greenery and creating an illusion that you were in a garden, not in the middle of a city. The wooden lounge chairs were simply begging you to lie down and bathe in the sun, and the jacuzzi in the corner would be perfect in the cool autumn evenings.

“It’s okay,” Victoria concluded after inspecting everything, designer sunglasses on her face.

“I wonder what would impress you,” Reiju said jovially as they headed to the bathroom.

Victoria gave her an appraising look. “So far, you’re more impressive than the apartment.”

“Oh, I'm not all that.”

Usually, Reiju wasn't all that modest, but she hadn't expected to receive any compliments from Victoria. This whole showing didn't feel like it was going well at all, and it had made her feel a bit unsure. Imbalanced.

“Not sure I like the bathtub being in front of the window,” Victoria said, already hopping to the next criticism. “Then again, I guess most of the world has already seen my tits.”

Reiju failed to keep her eyes from wandering to said pair and then quickly turned away. What was wrong with her today? She hardly ever struggled to stay professional.

“Of course, there's a rain shower head,” Victoria muttered, sounding unhappy about it.

“It can fit two people, though,” Reiju said before catching herself.

Victoria raised an eyebrow. “You've tested it?”

“No, but I've been assured it's comfortable for two. It's supposed to conserve water as well.”

“Yes, well, I'll be lucky to have enough time to bring anyone over. The schedule’s been brutal lately, I don't know how the guys find time to date.”

“Men always find the time, even if it means neglecting something else,” Reiju noted.

Victoria snorted. “If that isn't the truth. Kid, especially, always thinking with his downstairs brain.”

“Speaking of which, shall we move to the bedroom?” Reiju suggested, hoping to finally find something Victoria would like. “There are multiple ones, of course, but I assume you're the most interested in the master bedroom.”

This room had giant windows too, letting in sunlight and bathing everything in a golden glow. Without the air conditioning running, it would've been unbearably hot, no doubt.

The king-size bed rested below a loft area that had been designed to be used as a workspace, although it'd be easy enough to turn into a reading nook, for example, if one had different preferences.

“Hmm,” Victoria observed the room with a hand on her hip. “I don't hate this.”

Reiju counted that as a win, at least. She had other properties she could show Victoria, but perhaps all hope wasn't yet lost on this one. As she’d said, she was only looking for something temporary, which meant she was more likely to settle for something less than perfect. Especially since she had the money to make the place more to her taste.

“At least the bed’s big enough,” Victoria said, sitting on it and bouncing slightly as if to test the mattress.

“Definitely, even if you want to share with a partner or a pet,” Reiju said.

It was hardly professional to fish for details about her customer’s private life, but she’d made sure to keep her statement vague. Victoria could volunteer the information or not. Reiju hadn’t come across much regarding the subject in her research. Mostly speculation on Victoria’s sexual orientation and a few people she’d been seen with in a bar or an event.

Victoria huffed out a dry laugh. “First, I’d have to find someone.”

“I can’t believe it’d be a challenge for someone like you.”

“Someone like me?” Victoria raised an eyebrow.

“You know.” Reiju gestured at all of Victoria. “Rich, famous, and beautiful.”

“Fame isn’t all it’s cracked up to be,” Victoria said, bending down to unlace her boots. “And if you’re selling penthouses, I doubt you’re broke yourself.”

“Well, the hardship isn’t finding someone. It’s finding the right person.”

“Exactly.”

Reiju narrowed her eyes, was she being flirted with? It seemed obvious, but she was working. If there was even the tiniest chance that she might be misreading the situation, she could be out of a job in addition to the humiliation. Nobody wanted to be blacklisted for sexually harassing a customer.

“I’m not sure what you mean,” Reiju said innocently.

Victoria rolled her eyes. “My gaydar is never wrong. So, wanna fuck?”

Do I ever, Reiju thought, despite knowing it wasn’t wise. Never mix business and pleasure. But would she ever forgive herself if she let this opportunity slip through her fingers?

“I’m not supposed to get involved with customers.”

“Oh?” Victoria rolled onto her stomach, her pale, shapely calves kicking in the air. “Something tells me you’re used to breaking rules.”

“Is that a compliment?” Reiju asked, smiling. “Or are you negging me?”

“A compliment, certainly. I’m into bad girls.”

As Reiju stepped closer to the bed, Victoria pushed her finger through the belt loop of her jeans and yanked till Reiju was pressed against her face. Within seconds, her quick fingers had popped open the button, and then, before Reiju had a chance to react, her teeth dragged open the zipper.

The angle was quite awkward, and Victoria seemed to realize it, too. She aimed a mischievous grin up at Reiju before getting up on her knees and pulling her down by the waist. They tumbled down onto the mattress, Reiju ending up under Victoria—not that she had any complaints about that.

Small as she was, Victoria’s weight on her was more exciting than threatening. Reiju knew she could get out of the situation if she wanted. But as Victoria's painted lips pressed a light kiss on hers, she knew she really, really didn't want to.

Victoria’s hair was just long enough to sink your hands in, to pull her closer into a deeper kiss. It had been a while since Reiju had done this, and her body responded quickly, although some credit had to go to Victoria. She was attractive as hell and knew what she was doing with her tongue, a promise of good things to come.

“Customer’s always right, isn’t that so?” Victoria said, her face only inches from Reiju’s, her hot breath ghosting Reiju’s lips.

Reiju smiled, a little dazed. “Definitely. My hands are tied, I have to obey.”

Victoria’s eyes flashed. “Good. But we might leave the bondage for next time.”

Next time? Reiju let out a laugh, they’d barely gotten started with this time. “You sound confident neither of us is going to be disappointed.”

Victoria winked at her. “Well, you won’t be.”

With that, and one last lingering kiss to Reiju’s lips, Victoria slithered down her body, cold fingers sliding between her skin and the denim of her jeans. She’d picked a tight pair for today—made her ass look pretty fantastic—but with some shuffling, Victoria was able to pull them down, revealing first her thighs, then most of her calves.

Victoria didn’t pull them entirely off, however, leaving the material bunched around her ankles like a makeshift binding that allowed only a little movement.

“So you don’t run away from me,” Victoria explained, a wicked grin on her freckled face.

“There’s no danger of that,” Reiju said. “Unless you turn out to be seriously unhinged.”

There was always a danger of that; you could never know for sure what went on in a person’s head. But Reiju had experience with unhealthy dynamics and toxic people. Close, intimate experience that she felt gave her some insight into what to look for. And she’d noticed no red flags in Victoria.

Reiju’s underwear soon joined her jeans around her ankles, and Victoria immediately planted her face between her legs, tongue darting out to explore. She’d done this before, Reiju could tell—there was no hesitation in her actions even though she took it slow, teasing at first, nose buried in Reiju’s pubic hair.

She’d been with men in the past, and although she could still appreciate them visually, she’d been more drawn to women in recent years, despite her teenage self swearing she had no preference when it came to gender. And she had to admit the oral sex game was on a whole other level with women. No impatient prodding at the wrong spot, expecting her to climax in a matter of minutes and immediately reciprocate.

Victoria wasn’t her first female partner, but she demonstrated similar care to the ones she’d been with before. Taking her time to find out what felt good and what got a reaction out of Reiju and then using that knowledge instead of moving on.

There was eagerness to her actions but no hastiness that could’ve suggested she had no real interest in her partner’s pleasure.

“This okay?” she asked as she pushed a tip of one finger inside Reiju, who could only nod vigorously because fuck yes it was.

Victoria’s finger was soon joined by another, spreading Reiju open, curling inside, exploring. She’d been wet while she’d still been fully dressed, and Victoria’s mouth on her had only expedited the situation.

The mouth that was back at work, licking and sucking her clit, making Reiju pant with need. She wasn’t going to last long; she needed just a little more of this. Instinctively, she tried to spread her legs, but didn’t get far with all the fabric tying her ankles together like a loose rope.

She let out a frustrated whine, electing to tilt her hips instead, rocking against Victoria’s clever, talented mouth. She could hear, could feel, Victoria chuckle between her legs and then give her what she wanted, just a little more pressure and speed.

Ah, I’ll—” Reiju’s body was faster than her mouth, already quivering around Victoria’s pink tongue, Reiju’s hitched breaths filling the room as she rode the wave of pleasure before collapsing against the luxurious sheets.

“Disappointed then?” Victoria asked mischievously.

Reiju took a moment to catch her breath. “Definitely not.”

“Hmm, good. Ready to go again?” Victoria asked, her fingertip circling Reiju’s clit softly.

“What about you? Shouldn’t I—”

“Oh, shh,” Victoria hushed her. “We’ve got all night. It’s my apartment, after all.”
