Chapter Text
Min Ho was with his dad when a full blown argument was taking place. Min Ho had absolutely had it with his dad. He thought his dad would've changed by now but he hasn't and is still acting as the selfish father he has always been.
Mr Moon raised an eyebrow, with frustration. He can't believe he ever thought Min Ho had what it takes to be a manager and run things in the spotlight. "I can't believe you. To think I was going to leave this all for you and this is how you repay me?" He snapped.
Min Ho gulped, with his heart beating fast. Because what he says now - he can never take back. "I never wanted this. I don't want this. The fame, the money. I don't want none of this!" Min Ho snapped, shaking his head at his dad.
"Why can't you be more like your siblings? they thrive in it?" Mr Moon asked.
Min Ho scoffed. He was pissed because he can't believe his dad can't see the error in his ways. "You call this thriving? Look at our family! We are only together to talk about work or the fame but we don't know each other. Fame destroyed our family and I don't want to be part of it any longer."
"You can't quit on me now. Not with the recent scandal." Mr Moon begged.
Min Ho swallowed again and glanced over at his dad. "No I'm done with all of this. I'm done letting you control every aspect of my life. Because I'm not like you dad. I don't want fame as all I have ever wanted is a life that is chill where I can do what I want without being judged for it. I don't want the pressure that comes with being a son of the richest talent manager in Asia."
"You were born into fame." Mr Moon said.
Min Ho shook his head. "So that doesn't mean I want it. God I'm so tired of trying to please you and everybody. Trying to constantly be a person that I don't want to be. It's not who I am. The truth is that I don't fit into your world and I never have. I can't keep doing this dad I really can't. The only time I have ever felt like I can be myself and the time I have ever felt loved in my life was...."
Min Ho paused for a second, trying not to break but he failed. He broke down in tears as he shook his head. "Was with Kitty."
"She's not part of our world Min Ho. There will be others." Mr Moon admitted.
Min Ho scoffed, feeling a sharp pain in his bones as more tears came down. "Says who? I love her dad I really do. It's the first time I've ever felt this way about anyone before. I felt loved and safe and chosen for the first time in my life. She understands me better than anyone."
"We aren't even together because I let her go because of you and this pressure and insecurities I feel. I could've been with someone and it could've been great but you took that way. All I want is to be with her and it's painful that I can't. I hurt her and I pushed her away because of you. " Min Ho shouted.
"She is not cut out for this." Mr Moon snapped.
"Yeah well neither am I. I quit." Min Ho said.
Mr Moon felt outraged, as the anger he felt approached his body and took control over him. "Fine. Min Ho if you do this then you are done, you are cut off. No money from me."
Min Ho smirked. "I don't need your money anyways. I was always closer to mum anyway. She was right about you though. You will never change and I'm done trying to prove myself to you when you don't care about anything other than your money and fame."
"We are done." Min Ho said as he quickly walked away.
Once he walked away from his dad and he approached a bench, he slowly let the small tears fall. Letting it all go. Mourning the small boy he once was that dreamed to have a relationship with his father. He will never get that and perhaps that's okay.
Hours passed. Min Ho had finally composed himself. He now feels ready to go after what he wants. He is ready to be with Kitty. For real this time.
Min Ho knocked on her dorm but there was no answer so he opened the door and it was empty. There was no Kitty in sight. This made Min Ho worried as he ran to the boys' dorm room where Q and Dae were at and practically barged in through the door in panic.
Min Ho glanced up at Q. "Where is she?" Min Ho shouted.
Q was shocked and had no idea what he was talking about. "Who?"
"Damn it Q! Where the hell is Kitty?" Min Ho shouted, feeling frustrated.
Dae glanced up and down at his best friend. "What is going on here?"
"I don't know she took a airport terminal train. Terminal 1 I think." Q admitted, looking at his best friend with worry.
"Which airport?" Min Ho asked.
"Incheon." Q said.
Min Ho blinked, breathing slowly. "Oh my god!" He grabbed his phone from room and then came out the room in panic.
"I have to go." He muttered as he ran out the door pretty fast. The fastest Q and Dae have ever seen him run before.
Dae glanced over at Q. "What exactly is he doing?"
"He's getting the love of his life back." Q replied with a smile.
Min Ho had his driver take him and then he ran, faster than he has ever ran before. He had his blue phone in his right hand, texting Kitty. His face was red and he was in full panic mode as his heart was beating fast. He can't have missed her. He needs to tell her how she feels.
Min Ho ran as he stopped in his tracks and he saw her. His mind was spiralling and he was panicking. "KITTY!" He shouted, his heart beating fast.
Kitty who was on her phone stopped to look at it for a second as she saw Min Ho standing right in front of her. She took her headphones off and put it on her suitcase and she stared at him in shock. "Min Ho. What are you doing here?" She asked, her voice trembling a bit.
Min Ho ran and stepped up onto the train. His heart was beating fast as he tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear. "What I should've done a long time ago."
"I'm tired of letting other people decide what they want for me. I don't want my dad to control my life anymore so I cut him off." Min Ho admitted.
Kitty raised an eyebrow. "You did what?"
"I was trying so hard to please him but all it did was cause me more pain and I don't want that. I don't want fame or money and I don't want to be part of his world anymore. He doesn't really know me. I don't think he ever did." Min Ho admitted.
Kitty half smiled as she looked into his eyes and pouted. "Oh Min Ho. I'm sorry but he's your family."
Min Ho shook his head. "I don't want to be part of his world. I want to be part of yours."
Kitty froze in her tracks as she stared at him. Her heart beating fast. "Min Ho." She said slowly.
"I pushed you away because I felt I didn't deserve you. It was all too much and I had doubts and insecurities but you know what, I don't care what everyone else thinks anymore. Because I'm done. I want what I'm supposed to have and I want to chase my own happiness for once." Min Ho explained.
Min Ho gulped, as his heart was racing. What happens after this will change everything. "I don't need anything because all I need is right in front of me. No one understands me as well as you do. I feel the safest with you."
"I love you, Covey. A lot." Min Ho smiled as he placed his hands on her face, cupped her face in his hands and leaned in and kissed her deeply on the lips. The kiss was epic and long as he poured everything he felt into the kiss. It was passionate and full of love.
Kitty could not believe what was happening. Min Ho kissed her and she was kissed him back. He chased her down to be with her which is something that has never happened to her before. She's always the chaser, the one who pours everything to love without getting anything in return. With Min Ho, he's unexpected. He's choosing her. He wants her and she wants him.
After seconds of a passionate kiss, they broke apart the kiss but their foreheads were touching as they both smiled. "I love you too, Min Ho. A lot."
"Best second epic kiss ever." Kitty giggled.
Kitty and Min Ho both smiled at each other. They leaned in again and kissed again. This kiss was sweet and deep. This kiss represented them choosing each other. For real.
"I'm done being scared. I want to be with you, Covey." Min Ho told her.
Kitty smiled. "I want to be with you too. So no more being scared, worried and no more insecurities."
"It was hell without you." Kitty admitted.
Min Ho chuckled. "Likewise."
"I tried to be part of it but it just wasn't me. I fell in love with you because I always knew no matter what even if you are mad you always will be there." Kitty uttered.
"I'm done being scared too so quite frankly if you dad tries to pull anything on us I will fight him. Him and his shitty ego." She smirked as she told him.
Min Ho laughed as that was such a kitty thing to say.
"Come back to K.I.S.S." Min Ho said.
Kitty giggled. "Wait you chased me all the way down here because you thought I was leaving? I'm just going to visit LJ in New York."
Min Ho blinked. "Q did not tell me that."
Kitty chuckled as pulled him by his shirt and his hands were against her wait. "I think it's cute."
"You wanna come?" Kitty asked.
Min Ho's heart raced. "Seriously?"
"Yeah, if you want. My whole family will be there and maybe here's a thought they will stop referring to you as the guy from the plane and instead my boyfriend." Kitty smiled, she cannot believe this is her reality.
She and Min Ho are official. They finally defined the relationship.
"Boyfriend? oh I like the sound of that." Min Ho replied.
Kitty leaned in and kissed him as his hands cupped her face.
Once they broke the kiss, everyone on the train were staring at them in awe. "Looks like we have an audience." Kitty giggled.
Min Ho giggled. "Seems so."
"We should go back to KISS. If I'm meeting your family I have to look good." Min Ho said.
Kitty blinked and almost burst out laughing. "Oh my god you are ridiculous."
"It's called taking care of your appearance Covey. Do you know how bad my skin is because of you?" He teased.
"Aww you are so down bad for me." Kitty mocked.
She loved their mutual bantering and knows that will never change. She secretly loves it.
"Okay let's go!" Min Ho added as he grabbed her hand and he took her suitcase and bag and carried it on his left hand.
Kitty and Min Ho walked out the airport, hand in hand. Kitty head against his chest as they continued to walk out the airport. They smiled at each other and for the first time in a long time they were happy. Kitty and Min Ho are together. For real. The real deal.
Love is about choosing each other despite being in different worlds and that is exactly what they are doing. The only world they are in is each others.
Kitty thought this semester would end rough but life is full of surprises. The perfect end to the first semester of Senior Year.
