Chapter Text

Looking at Josie with a smile, Castle asked her, "What're you doing sweetheart?"
"I want to see the planes," the toddler replied.
"Flying or still on the ground?" Eliza asked her.
"Stop you guys," Beckett said in amusement, watching them. "Sweetie, we need to wait for the races to start before we can see them."
"Why didn't you head to see Skye?" Paul asked her.
Smiling at the singer then, Beckett said, "I asked if I could and she said I'd make her nervous." She wasn't surprised Paul's eyebrows went up in his surprise and she explained, "I did that to her in our past life, when she would take flights and I was there. But more when she first started to fly."
"Oh, I think a race is starting," Kathleen commented to the others.
Beckett looked at the sky above them, though the announcer was soon calling a different category than the investigator was in. "Hopefully her race is soon," she murmured to her husband on the other side of their youngest.
"I know, someone's getting a little antsy," Castle replied. When his wife turned to him, he said quickly, "Not me."
"I know," Beckett said before she smirked at him. She tried not to laugh out loud when her husband was frowning but anything he might have said in response to her was cut off by the sound of the planes for that race taking off.
Smiling at the sight of the aircraft, Skye said simply, "I'm fine."
"You're sure?" Mary asked her seriously.
"I am," Skye said, in the same tone of voice. She then said, "He's not here." She nearly laughed at the startled expression on her wife's face before she hurried to calm herself down and said, "Bernard was a pilot, he knows better than to distract me."
Mary wanted to comment on that but was aware her wife was right so she merely nodded. She then squeezed her shoulder and said, "Are you ready? You're next."
"Yeah," Skye said, standing up with a slight exhale. It was the sixteenth of September and she was with their family and friends in Reno, Nevada for the Reno Air Races. She grabbed her helmet and said, "And you need to get back to the others."
"I'm part of the crew," Mary said in mock annoyance. She wasn't surprised when her wife was merely shrugging and stopped her. "You've checked the plane."
"She's ready," Skye said firmly. "And she meets all the safety requirements too."
Frowning at the remembrance of the 2011 crash at the races, Mary asked, "Are they-"
"Mr. Leeward is here," Skye said simply. "He's always here when the races are on but he's… well out there," she added, nodding towards the hills they could see in the distance. She then turned back to her wife and said, "He wants to make sure nothing like that ever happens again."
Sucking in a breath of air, Mary nodded and said, "As long as he's not affecting the pilots."
"Never," Skye said firmly. "Though he did tell me before I changed into my jumpsuit good flight," she added. She smiled when her wife's eyebrows raised in obvious surprise and said, "He saw me here when I was with the go team."
Nodding again, Mary reached for her wife and hugged her as tightly as she could saying, "Safe flight grá."
"I will," Skye assured her, embracing her back. When they were loosening their hold on each other she then said, "Watch me."
"I always do," Mary said before they were sharing a brief kiss and then letting one another go. She looked on while her wife was leaving the hangar they'd been in, putting on her helmet and calling out to some people she knew. She then shook herself and followed to go with Burke who was with them as part of Skye's crew.
"Is Mum going yet?" Ivy asked her oldest sisters.
"I think the next race is hers," Marie said, her twin nodding in agreement next to her.
Liam was about to tell them it was when the announcement was made over the loudspeakers at the airport. He smiled when the kids with their group were all cheering and he and Pablo were calming down their granddaughters.
Listening to the planes being announced and the pilots, Castle let out a whoop at Skye's name while they were all clapping. He then said to his wife as those pilots were allowed to get into their planes, "Your dad would have liked this."
"I don't know," Beckett said with a smile. They were looking over at the runway when the sound of the planes for the race starting up was heard and she quickly checked on Josie to make sure she was okay. But the toddler was smiling and clapping while she looked down at her and she turned her attention back to her husband. "He likes these kinds of planes but when your mother said he could come too he declined."
"Well… they are watching the twins," Castle said with a slight frown. Their daughter and son-in-law were at Lake Placid that weekend, celebrating their second wedding anniversary and he couldn't help feeling a little guilty they'd gone out of town as well instead of staying with the twins.
Rick," Beckett told her husband firmly, watching him and aware of what was going through his mind at that point.
"I know, I know," Castle said in a rush. "They said it was alright if we came here."
"And Alexis and Louis told us the same," Beckett reminded him.
Nodding his head, Castle said, "I wish we all could have come together."
"Me too, but not this time," Beckett said simply before they were turning their attention to above them.
In the cockpit of her plane, Skye was making sure her speed and altitude were correct while she and the others were following the lead plane. Eventually they were allowed to take off and she instantly sped up her plane before they were coming to the first curve. She pushed the race into the back of her mind and focused on the speed she was getting and the g-forces she was experiencing. Letting out a cry of pure joy she could hear Burke telling her to go for it in her helmet. "We've got it!" she called back and then turned all of her attention on her flying.
"She's going fast," Eliza whispered to her sister.
"I know," Julia said, sharing a smile with Mari before they were watching the rest of the race.
Eventually Skye shook herself, reminding herself there was a race she was participating in before she reached the last lap and she smiled when she could hear both Burke and her wife telling her that she had won while they were cheering. "That's for you Bernard," she murmured under her breath. It took her a little to get her plane back down, but once she was where it would be parked until the next day she was scrambling to get out.
"Great job!" the detective said as he was making sure the investigator was able to get down the ladder safely.
"Thanks," Skye told Burke as they hugged quickly. She laughed when her wife was nearly throwing herself at her and she said, "I'm alright grá."
"I'm just happy that you are," Mary said.
"Definitely, not just the race though," Skye said, turning back and patting the Raider's side. "She's a dream to fly."
"We could hear you," Burke said with a smile.
"How… did I leave the radio open?" Skye asked.
"You did," Mary replied. She couldn't help laughing when her wife pursed her lips and leaned over to brush her lips against them. "Go Skye," she then told her wife when one of the race officials was stepping up to them.
Skye nodded and handed her helmet to her wife after squeezing her hand, hurrying after the man and shaking the hands of the other pilots in her race.
"What do we do now?" Josie asked her parents.
"Well, there's one more race," Beckett said. "Skye told us to watch that. And then we're going to go back to the city and have lunch at the hotel."
"Are we still going to that museum?" Fleur asked.
"Definitely," Liam told his granddaughter.
"I would be surprised if we didn't," Pablo said, looking at his phone. "We're alright," he told his husband when he was putting it away.
Checking his phone for the temperature himself, Castle saw it wasn't too bad still since the race had been the second one of the day. He then put it away quickly since that third race was starting already.
"Alright, I hope you lot are hungry be-" Skye started to say, walking into the living room of the penthouse villa at the Atlantis resort.
"Starving," all the kids said at the same time.
Shaking her head while the other adults were laughing, Skye then told them in mock annoyance, "You didn't let me finish."
"What were you going to say?" Iris asked her mother while she hurried over to hug her tightly.
"Because I ordered and it'll be here," Skye said, leaning down and kissing the top of her head.
"How're you doing lass?" Liam asked his daughter as she walked over to the table where he and Pablo were sitting at, watching the kids playing pool.
"Good, I could have done without the TV interviews but… I suppose it's news," Skye said, wrinkling her nose at the end.
"Grá, you were with the team in 2011 and today you were racing it," Mary reminded her wife. "Of course they wanted to interview you."
Shrugging, Skye then said, "Who wants to play cards?"
"Wait," Beckett said. When her friend was looking at her, she asked, "Are you going to come back next year?"
"No," Skye said. "I've made my decision." She was startled when the room went quiet and she glanced at the pool table, seeing the kids were looking at them. "Hmm. Okay, so I'm not going to race the Raider. She's going to the Hamptons and the museum."
"Have you spoken to Mia about that?" Castle asked.
"Of course," Skye said. "She tried to get me to keep it but I told her very honestly that I could do without the expense since it'll be hanging over my head."
"Why?" Marie asked with a frown.
Smiling at her oldest, Skye explained, "I'm not likely to fly her again. I'd rather people and kids see it than it just sit in a hangar where I'd never really go." She paused and then said, "I did tell Mia that she needs to be protected and she said she's making a hangar for it and another plane she'll be getting."
"What kind?" Pablo asked.
"No idea, she said she was getting everything ready and wanted to wait until it was a for sure thing," Skye said. She then said to her father, "Tonight-"
"I'm sure, we're sure," Liam interrupted her firmly.
Skye couldn't help laughing at her father's tone and said, "I do need to make sure."
"So do we," Beckett added.
"The older kids said they would help," Liam replied.
"We will," the four oldest said at the same time.
"You don't mind you're not having dinner on your own?" Kathleen whispered to Julia and Mari.
"No way," the latter said first.
Smiling at her girlfriend, Julia then said, "And we don't have a pool table in our room." She watched the older McDouglas twins laugh and then said with a slight frown, "Just a tub around the corner from the bed."
"Oh yeah, we heard Mom and Mum talking about that," Marie said.
"I think grownups use it together," Kathleen added.
"Yeah, but we're not grownup and we don't take baths," Julia said. She paused and looking at her girlfriend said, "Well, I don't."
"Me neither," Mari said. "I like showers better. And man the shower's really big in our room."
"Our villa too," Kathleen said with a smile before they were laughing together and then turning their attention back to the pool game.
"Are you guys going to play in the casino later?" Pablo asked while he was dealing cards for a quick game of poker.
"I think we will," Skye said, sharing a glance with her wife.
"Us too, I'd like to play here at least once," Castle said though he was looking at his wife while he said that.
Beckett couldn't help smiling and said, "I do too. But that's later, we still have the kids."
"Speaking of that," Liam said.
"You don't have to go if your knee is troubling you Da," Skye told him quickly.
"It's not, but I think we'd like to rest before tonight and we watch the kids," Liam responded with a smile since he'd expected his daughter's concern.
"That's fine, we can watch them," Mary told her father-in-law.
"Definitely," Castle added.
"Good, now let's play please," Liam said, smiling when the others were laughing in response to him.
At the pool table, Eliza was making a face as she looked at the choices she had before she said, "I don't think I'm going to make it."
"You still have to 'it it," Fleur told her with a smile.
"Yeah, and then I'll help you," Eliza told her teasingly since they were the only ones playing at that moment.
"Lizzy-" Julia started to tell her sister.
"I'm just kidding," Eliza interrupted her before she took the only shot she could see. She missed and playfully stuck her tongue out at Fleur before they were laughing together and moving around so the older girl could take her shot next. While she was waiting, she wandered over to Julia and Mari at the windows of the penthouse and said, "It's really pretty."
"You like it?" Julia asked her sister with a smile.
"I don't mind the city," Eliza said firmly since the view was partially of that and the local landscape. She then thought of something and asked, "Do you mind the desert?"
"Not really," Julia said. When her sister was just looking at her, she couldn't help laughing and saying, "I've gotten used to it."
"Me too," Eliza said with a nod before she was hurrying back to the game.
"Do you not want to play anymore?" Mari asked her girlfriend while they were turning their attention back outside.
"Maybe… actually later tonight," Julia said, recalling lunch. She tried to look around for a clock but not seeing any said, "I hope the food comes soon."
"Me- oh I guess they heard you," Mari said jokingly since there was knock on the door.
"Is everyone ready to go?" Paul asked them.
"You've been quiet," Julia said with a smile since he was looking at her and Mari.
"Just playing cards," Paul replied. "I like to keep my focus." He glanced at his wife in the chair next to him and then said hurriedly, "And I'm hungry."
"Luckily lunch is served," Skye said, walking back to them with a few employees who had carts with their food on them.
Gathering at the different tables, the group soon had their dishes and were eating in silence before Liam was getting Paul and Nancy's attention.
"I only said the older kids would help us out," the pilot said with a frown.
"We said we'd stay with you," Nancy replied.
"We're eating here," Pablo reminded her.
"And?" Paul asked. "There's a pool table to come up to and a piano. I could belt out a tune or two," he added before he was smiling when the kids were all laughing at his tone.
"Belt out? You'll destroy your voice doing that," Skye joked. "But you don't seem to mind."
"No, we're on vacation," Paul said. "And I get a nice long break."
"Even if we asked you to sing?" Julia inquired.
Laughing a little, Paul nodded and said, "Even if you do that but we'll see tonight."
"Maybe just one?" Eliza asked hopefully.
"Please?" Josie then asked.
"Well when they're so polite…" Paul said with a smile while Castle was wiping the toddler's mouth.
"Wait and see tonight," Mary said.
"And don't force him to either," Beckett said firmly. She couldn't help smiling when all the kids were saying, "We won't," at almost the same time, including Josie.
"Where are you going to go?" Skye then asked her father. "Not the buffet," she told him quickly before he could speak.
Smiling, Liam shook his head and then told her, "I remember, that's for brunch tomorrow before we head out. No, I wasn't sure to be honest I have to ask everyone's opinion and that's going to have to be later since we're eating right now." He paused and then said, "I was looking at the different places and there's one called Red Bloom."
"The Asian one," Skye said thoughtfully. She then looked at Paul and Nancy and told them, "They have a veggie ramen bowl I would even order."
"With or without meat?" Paul asked her. When she said without he looked at his wife and said, "That's fine with us. But what about the kids."
Hearing them all saying they would go, Liam smiled and said, "If we have your permission," directing that to the four parents.
"You do," Castle said first.
"He's right," Mary said. "But if you're going to do desserts, nothing too crazy."
"There's a coffee place next to the deli they have," Pablo said. "We thought we would get a pastry there."
"Sounds good," Skye commented.
"But Eliza needs to split something with Josie," Beckett then said.
"I will," Eliza said from the bar where she was eating with some of the other kids.
"What about you guys?" Nancy asked them.
"You haven't discussed it either?" Liam inquired with a smile when the two couples were exchanging glances.
"I was going to suggest something but I'm not totally sure if you three would want to do it," Skye said.
"You're eating together?" Iris asked.
"We are," Skye said. "We got together to see each other before Christmas," she reminded her daughter. She turned to the others and said, "We're staying home for Thanksgiving."
"We said that was fine," Beckett replied a little laughingly since they'd already had that discussion. "What about tonight?"
"Stay here," Skye answered easily. "Order from one of the restaurants and just stay in playing pool or whatever." She was a little surprised seeing Castle obviously hesitating and asked him, "No?"
"If we weren't planning on going to the casino at some point I would say it would be nice," Castle said. "But we could eat somewhere nice, gamble a little and then spend the rest of the night up here like you were talking about."
"I think I'd like to do that," Mary told her wife.
"Me too," Beckett added.
Holding up her hands momentarily, Skye smiled and said, "Sounds good to be honest. I just hope I won't be recognized."
"You and me both," Paul said, smiling when the younger girls were giggling.
After they'd gone back to their food for a little, Ivy eventually asked, "Where are you going to go?"
"There aren't many options for fine dining," Skye said, looking pointedly at Beckett. When her friend nodded to her she smiled and said, "Then the steakhouse it is." Glancing at Castle she couldn't help laughing and said, "You wanted to go there."
"I did… they have wagyu there and…" Castle said before trailing off.
"We're not eating together obviously," Paul said with a smile. "But hopefully you'll enjoy it."
"It's highly rated," Mary said. She smiled when her wife was immediately looking at her and told her, "I can read too," not surprised the investigator was shortly after laughing.
When they'd finished their meal, the group started to gather their plates and glasses to take them out into the hall before they were meeting in the entry of the villa to get what they needed for their trip.
"Alright Da, Pablo," Skye said once they were leaving and walking out. "The kids will come back to your villa before we leave."
"And we'll be ready whenever it is we're going to eat," Paul said, Nancy nodding next to him.
"Five thirty isn't too late is it?" Liam asked. Seeing the parents shaking their heads he then told the McCartneys, "Then five thirty be at our villa."
Saying goodbye to the two men who were going further down the hall, the rest of the group was stepping into the elevator and going down to the first floor. Getting to their cars the kids were soon splitting up and they were driving the short distance to The Discovery.
"Okay," Skye said, looking at a map while they were following the kids past the lobby. "This should be interesting enough for them."
"What about Josie?" Nancy asked. "She doesn't need a nap."
"She won't," Castle said.
"You know already?" Paul asked in amusement.
"We know," Beckett answered before her husband could. She then said, "You can tell these days so we're sure she's getting to the point where she won't want to take naps anymore."
"She seems young for that," Nancy said.
Shrugging Castle said, "Apparently I did that when I was her age. At least that's what Mother said."
"Do we go in here Mum?" Marie asked as they were coming to a doorway.
"Yes, go ahead," Skye called. "But don't go too far from the door." She smiled when all the kids stopped and told them, "Thank you. Now this is called Little Discoveries and unfortunately it's just for five and under." She tried not to laugh when Josie immediately looked interested and pointed to herself. "Yes," she assured her. "So we'll watch you."
"You can't tell me the others can't help her," Paul said.
Glancing around the room, Skye spotted an employee and said, "I'll be right back."
"She's going to use her name," Beckett murmured.
"Think it'll work?" Paul asked.
"I'm not sure," Beckett said honestly.
"I could help her if she needs it," Paul said. He saw the other adults looking at him and said, "For the children? I would do it."
"That's sweet of you Paul," Skye said, walking up to them in time to hear that. "Luckily you don't. I explained our group-"
"And signed an autograph," Castle commented. When the investigator looked at him, slightly startled, he smiled and told her, "I could see."
Nodding Skye said, "Did that, and since it's not too crowded the kids can go around with Josie if they'd like. But if other younger kids come up," looking then at the kids who were listening to her. "Let them go ahead and try the experiments."
"Thanks!" the younger kids were saying happily before they were going straight to the section called the Super Service Center.
Beckett, having been watching the two oldest, told Julia and Mari, "You don't have to go if you don't want."
Not surprised her mother had noticed that, Julia looked at her girlfriend and said, "Do you?"
"I… kind of wanted to see what the car one was like," Mari said honestly.
"You should," Skye said. She smiled when the two were looking at her in surprise and told them, "It can never hurt to learn how to take care of your car."
"And you're close to being able to get your driver's permit, aren't you?" Nancy said.
"When I'm sixteen," Julia said with a nod.
"Don't remind us," Beckett said in feigned despair. "Go," she told the two, watching as they were hurrying over to the small model of a car where the other kids all were.
"Want to help us?" Josie asked, beaming at her big sister.
"Yep, if we can," Julia answered, looking around.
"Come and help with the tires," Josie said, taking her hand and then Mari's. "You can change them."
"Nice," Mari said as she was walking with them.
Looking on while the kids were helping each other with everything they could do at the car, the adults were talking quietly about London.
"So they won first again," Paul commented.
"They did," Castle said with a smile. "Too bad you couldn't make it."
"Yeah, it was odd I needed to be in New York," Paul replied. He smiled himself and said, "Business but I told myself I had this the next weekend."
"So you're enjoying it here?" Skye asked, though she was looking at Nancy as well. "You said you've never been here, either of you."
"It's nice, luckily there's a lot to do inside," Nancy said before they were laughing and then turning their attention to the kids since they were coming up to them.
"You don't have to come back, take her to the other things, go," Skye encouraged them with a smile.
"And Mari danced with them again," Nancy said.
"The Argentine Tango," Castle said. "We sent you the video right?"
"You did, and the pictures," Paul said. "Next time I go to the Hamptons I want to see those trophies."
"You'd have to see the ones for the class at the school," Julia said, smiling when the adults turned to her. She was blushing deeply at them talking about the Rothschild competition the week before where she and Peter had won with Mari for their group.
"Happy?" Skye asked.
"A lot," Julia said. "And that we were able to go to the Tower again."
"Well… connections help but you have to thank my dad for that one," Skye said.
"I did," Julia said simply. She wasn't surprised when Skye was looking at her questioningly and explained, "He was at the Tower that day and I just said thank you in my mind before he left."
"Good," Skye said before she saw the other kids were walking up to them. "To the next… room," she said, trailing off and looking at the map before speaking rapidly.
While the kids were laughing, Mary took her wife's hand and squeezed it firmly saying, "Okay?"
"I am," Skye replied while they were entering the next exhibition. "Just surprised he was there. But that's all."
Studying her wife, Mary nodded and then let her hand go since they were splitting up to go with their daughters in the room.
After that room, the group moved to the Da Vinci's Corner room where the kids were making a beeline for the dark room they could see in the distance.
"Ever since we told them about that in the Children's Museum in L.A. they always want to try it," Skye commented while they were waiting outside. She smiled when she hear the familiar flash of the light inside and then stepped in herself, laughing since their kids had somehow managed to do the evolutionary process standing next to each other. "Of all the things you guys could do…" she said teasingly.
"We wanted to wait for James to get here," Julia said, looking at the singer.
"Nice," Paul whispered, holding out his fist to her and bumping hers as she giggled and held her own out. "What for… oh no I think I know what you want to do," he said, trailing off and then speaking in mock annoyance.
"Just once?" Eliza asked.
"All of us, hurry," Julia said since there was a screen on the wall opposite the bioluminescent screen that counted down to the next flash.
"Good thing your grandfather isn't here," Skye said jokingly as they got into a line and waited.
When the screen said 1 and a second later the flash went off, everyone in the group was jumping up. With their shadows on the wall Julia and Beckett were taking pictures before they were leaving to allow the next kids to take their turn.
"Thanks," Julia told Paul with a smile.
"Happy to oblige," the singer said, inclining his head. "But I hope that's it."
"For the shadow room? Yeah," Julia answered, smiling before she watched him going to another exhibit which was a turn table with some ping pongs on it.
Watching the singer showing the kids, jokingly, how record players worked, Beckett was glad he wasn't making his voice too loud since he wasn't hiding his accent. When they made their way around the room they were soon reaching the Art Alcove before the kids were painting on the large, clear plastic wall. She had to switch Josie quickly to markers since there wasn't anything to cover her clothes with, and once she had her set she told her husband, "Close."
"I was just going to go," Castle said. "Or give her my shirt." When his wife glanced him he said, "I have a short sleeved one underneath."
"I know, but I'm glad you didn't," Beckett said, unable to help smiling.
"Me too," Castle replied, smiling himself when she started to laugh.
Though it took her a little to calm down, Beckett nudged him playfully with her elbow and told him, "You know you could do that too."
"I'll pass… especially since Skye is taking over now," Castle said.
"You don't want to either?" Beckett asked.
"I would but I'd be worried someone would recognize my style," Paul said. He pursed his lips for a moment and said, "It's doubtful but I want to be careful." Watching Skye he said, "Unless I can make a livery for you."
"Why do you think this is an A380?" Skye asked jokingly since she was nearly finished painting the shape. When she had completed it she stepped back and said to Paul, "Get over here," smiling when the singer laughed out loud.
Stepping up, Paul took a smaller brush and painted grass and sky on the fuselage before he painted a small horse. He watched Skye paint a horse's head on the tail and they put the letters Mc & Mac Air. Laughing again they shook hands before Mary, Beckett and his wife were taking pictures of the airplane.
"Okay, let's keep going before they realize who Mac is," Skye said once they were done.
Going through the rest of the rooms on the first floor, the group was soon at the Cloud Climber where Skye was gathering everyone.
"The kids can go in this," she was telling them. "But I'm not sure about Josie."
Glancing at what appeared to be a jungle gym in the shape of clouds, Beckett said, "There are kids her age so I think she'll be fine."
"If her sister watches out for her," Castle said.
"Lizzy too?" Julia asked.
"Don't make a face," Beckett told the girl firmly. "Or else you won't be able to go. Just make sure you're not too far ahead of your sister."
"That goes for you too," Castle told the toddler.
"I won't," Josie said firmly.
"Me neither," Eliza added.
"We'll see you at the bottom," Skye said with a smile since the kids were hurrying to go into the structure.
"Should we start down already?" Beckett asked, keeping an eye on all the kids.
"The older ones will watch out for them," Mary reminded her before they were going down the stairs near the jungle gym.
Hearing the kids laughing and calling out to each other, Beckett couldn't help smiling at that since she could tell they were all fine. Once they were at the bottom and rejoining them she saw how glad Josie and Eliza were and was relieved she and Castle hadn't tried to stop their youngest from going on it. "What do we have next?" she asked the investigator.
"Truckee Connects," Mary said, having read it on the map.
"What's that?" Ivy asked.
"The Truckee River," Mary answered, pointing to a plaque.
"Yeah, we might have some wet kids after this," Skye said, looking at the water in the display. She laughed with the adults when the kids were rushing over to it and starting to play and experiment with the different sections of it. She and the other adults were moving to benches and sitting down before she said, "There's just one more exhibition before we're done."
"Have we been here for a while?" Castle asked, looking at his watch. "Oh… a few hours, not bad."
"No, but while we're finished with new stuff I'm going to warn you all now," Skye began. "One of our girls is going to ask if they can go back to the shadow room."
"Are you going to let them?" Beckett asked, unable to keep the amusement out of her voice.
Snorting slightly, Mary answered saying, "And if we did we'd be racing to the hotel to make it in time for our reservation." When she saw the writers looked started she told them with a smile, "Skye made it while we were driving here."
"And you got us a table?" Beckett asked.
"I did," Skye replied. "Six thirty so we can just relax at the pool table I think."
"Or whatever you guys want to do," Mary added, looking pointedly at her wife.
"Or that," Skye was quick to add, smiling when Castle chuckled at her tone. "I also got a reservation for you lot."
"Since there'll be thirteen of us?" Paul asked.
"If you count, that's how many," Mary said to Nancy with a smile when she appeared startled.
"I hadn't until now," the singer's wife replied, laughing briefly.
Skye looked at the kids and said, "You should have a fun night."
"We will," Nancy said.
"I have to ask one thing about here," Paul said then. "Is there a gift shop?"
"There is," Skye said, smiling again. She then asked, "Your grandkids?"
"Maybe, just a little something since they needed to go visit with their father's family this weekend instead of coming here," Paul said.
"Julia said she's going to get something for the four of them for Christmas," Castle said.
"She told me that too," Paul said.
"And me," Nancy added before they were laughing together.
"Great, so we'll look at the shop and then back to the hotel," Skye replied.
"If we can manage to get them away from that table," Mary said jokingly and with a smile.
"We will, what's the next room?" Castle asked the investigator, not surprised when she was laughing again.
After the adults had allowed the kids to play a little longer at the river display, they were getting them to go to the next room. That one took a little time as well since it was themed to space, the kids looking at all the different tables before they were going back up the stairs and to the store.
"Julia?"
"I'm right here," the teen said, smiling when her girlfriend was peering around the corner in front of her. "I know, but I just wanted to sit here and see what it was like."
"How is it?" Mari asked.
"Okay, I mean I'm dressed and the curtain is wide open," Julia said. "I have a nice view but how would I do this in the day… or the night?"
"The curtain would have to be closed," Mari said, smiling at her. "Are you ready?"
"We need to go?" Julia asked.
"Paul-" Mari started to say before she was interrupted by a knock on the door. She then smiled again and said, "Paul and Nancy will be here."
"Tell them to come in," Julia said in amusement.
Glancing at her girlfriend while she was standing up straight, Mari turned and hurried to check out the door before she let the two inside. "Julia said she wanted you to come in," she told them when they were looking at her after she turned from the door.
"Just to show them," Julia said, her amusement still tinging her tone.
"You're taking a bath?" Paul asked, stepping back.
"No," Julia said firmly.
Going first, Nancy couldn't help laughing and said, "She's dressed Paul," before she turned back to the girl. "Are you enjoying yourself?" she asked her.
"Sort of," Julia said, waving while Mari took a picture of her with her camera. "I just wanted to try it."
"Sending that to your parents?" Paul asked her before he was helping her out.
"Yeah, hopefully my mom won't get mad," Julia said.
"I don't think so," Paul replied as they were heading back to the door. "You weren't wearing your shoes or anything."
Nodding Julia said, "I made sure I didn't since I knew she really would be mad at me." She quickly stepped into her shoes and then sent the picture on her phone to her mother before getting her bag. "I'm ready," she said while she was looking at Mari.
"Me too," the teen agreed before they were leaving the suite. Outside she said, "Are you excited?"
"I am," Julia said. "But I don't know if I'm going to get ramen or Dim Sum."
"I'm getting ramen," Mari said. She then looked at the McCartneys and said, "We looked at the menu while we were resting."
"I don't blame you, Nance and I did the same thing," Paul told them with a smile. "And we're getting that veggie ramen bowl Skye told us about."
Nodding, Julia said, "And for dessert?"
"I think we're getting a banana split," Nancy said with a slight frown, looking at her husband.
"I'm going to tell Liam we should walk through the casino-" Paul began before he was interrupted by a gasp from Mari.
"Really?" the teen said after the elevator they were on had stopped and they were walking to the villa the others were at.
"Yeah, but just that path that they said you kids could go through," Paul said. "And my advice if you want to see a game or something is walk verrry slooowly," he added, exaggerating the last two words and not surprised when the girls were laughing. He knocked on the villa door and said, "But we'll see what he says."
"What who says?" Liam asked, smiling after he'd opened the door. He urged the four inside and said, "What did you think of?"
After explaining his idea of taking the kids on a walk through the casino, Paul wasn't surprised the pilot was nodding in agreement and asked, "Will you be alright with that?"
"It helps the kids to be honest," Liam said. He laughed briefly when the singer's brow furrowed and explained, "You talked about them walking slow if they wanted to see something, I already do. So they would just need to walk with me of course."
"Of course," Paul commented with a smile. "So," he said, looking at the kids. "What do you think?"
"I think it's perfect."
"I can't wait!"
"I want to play too," Mari, Fleur and then Josie said. The toddler put her hands on her hips and pretended to look stubborn before she giggled and said, "I will just watch."
"Good, or else we'd have to miss the walk," Julia said, squeezing her sister's shoulders.
"Okay, we have a reservation for five forty-five so let's go!" Liam told everyone before they were hurrying out of the villa.
Down on the casino floor, the group was walking through the machines on the path in the carpet that led to the restaurant. After the hostess had seated them, they were shortly after ordering since they'd all looked at the menu already.
Realizing that she hadn't thought of what her sister was going to have, Eliza leaned over slightly and asked, "Did someone order for Josa?"
"We did," Nancy assured her, the toddler in between herself and her husband on the banquet seating. "And they have a sampler plate that's the special for tonight."
"Is it Dim Sum?" Eliza asked.
"A bao, a spring roll and I think gyoza," Paul said.
"You don't mind her sitting there," Julia said with a frown. "She'll probably make a mess."
"She's fine," Nancy reassured her.
"But-" Julia started to say before Paul leaned towards her.
"The items are all vegan," he said.
"Do my parents know?" Julia asked in surprise.
"They do," Paul said with a slight smile. "And they said as long as it isn't spicy then they want her to try it."
Nodding Julia said, "I hope she likes it."
"Me too," Paul commented before they were laughing together and then turning their attention to their drinks. "You need to let me know how those are," since the kids had all gotten at least one of the non-alcoholic drinks on the menu.
"Do you want a sip of them?" Fleur asked.
"No, you can just let me know," Paul said laughingly before he was sipping at his tea.
After they had tried their drinks, the kids exclaiming over theirs, they were talking about the plans for the next day and the return home.
"Are you excited to go on our plane?" Marie asked the McCartneys.
"Of course, though why aren't you all going to be on it?" Paul said first.
"They don't fit in it," Liam said with a smile. "Mine takes the same number and the girls like going on that since it's a bit rare they have the chance."
"Are you all going on your grandfather's plane?" Eliza asked the McDouglas girls.
"No, Marie is going to sit with Mum in the co-pilot's seat and I'm going just 'cause there'll be less people," Kathleen said with a smile.
"There will be three others remember," Liam told his granddaughter in amusement.
"I know, but still," Kathleen replied with a wide smile. She then said, "It should be a lot of fun."
"What're you going to do in L.A.?" Julia asked the McCartneys.
"I think we'll head to a few places," Paul said. "With Skye since Mary is going to be working."
"Hopefully Skye will be off," Nancy said with a slight frown. "She says she'll be on call."
"She always is," the McDouglas girls said at the same time.
Everyone at the table started to laugh before their food was being brought out to them and they focused on that, those with ramen soon slurping at their food which was most of the table. When they had finished the meal, after talking about plans for Halloween around the table, the adults were paying the bill and getting the kids from the table to the entrance of the restaurant.
"Are we still doing that walk?" Iris asked her grandfather in a whisper.
"We are," Liam assured her. He then looked back and said, "Is everyone ready?" He smiled when the kids were saying yes at the same time, keeping their voices low, before he was taking the lead with all of them and going around on the path. He was walking with Iris and his husband but kept checking behind him to make sure none of the other kids were staying in a line.
"Did your mom see your picture?" Mari asked her girlfriend though she was looking around at the different machines they were passing.
"She did, she said she was glad I didn't wear my shoes," Julia said, not surprised her girlfriend was giggling. "But I'm only going to do that once." She then glanced at Mari and asked, "Want to do it too?"
"I don't think so," the teen replied, shaking her head. "It's kind of weird sitting in a tub like that."
"If it's the dress you're wearing, do it in your pajamas," Julia told her.
"No, just the whole idea," Mari said.
Nodding, Julia then looked over at the machines when she heard someone letting out a whoop before seeing someone standing at a slot machine. "I think they won," she said.
"I think so," Mari said, watching too. "Lucky them."
"Are you guys going to gamble when you're old enough?" Marie asked, she and her twin walking ahead of them.
"Yeah, I don't know for how long, but I would try it at least," Julia said, not surprised her girlfriend was nodding next to her.
"What machines?" Kathleen then said. "I mean the slot or poker?"
"Both, I mean… there aren't that many poker machines my dad told me," Julia said.
"Mom said the same thing too," Mari commented. She then smiled and said, "But either way… I don't know if I'd win."
"I wouldn't say that," Paul said, he and Nancy behind the four. "You could."
"Have you?" Julia asked.
"Nothing big," Paul said simply. He then smiled and said, "But if you do, let me know."
Smiling when the four girls were laughing at her husband's words, Nancy said, "Don't distract them from their walk," in a teasing tone of voice.
"They can still see everything," Paul said in mock protest. He squeezed his wife's hand gently and said, "Do you think we could play something quickly?"
"Do you really want to?" Nancy asked him in obvious surprise.
Glancing at the kids head of them, Paul said, "Maybe not, I know they want to get to the pool table."
"And you to the piano," Nancy told him teasingly, not surprised when her husband was smiling.
"Luckily I prepared myself for that already," Paul commented before he saw the coffee place they were making their way to. "Better get ready to pick dessert," he told his wife, nodding ahead of them.
"We are," Julia and Mari said, smiling when the singer playfully shook his fist at them, teasing them about eavesdropping. They laughed at the last bit before they turned their attention to the café and the display of desserts inside.
Stepping out into the living room of their villa, Beckett saw Mary and Skye were doing the same from where their suite was located on the other side.
"And Rick?" Skye asked since it was just her.
"He let me get ready first," Beckett answered. "This isn't too much is it?" she then asked, indicating her blue lace dress she'd brought with her.
"No, fits the dress code," Skye said.
"She's right," Mary said, wearing a grey cocktail dress herself. "But your husband?"
"A suit," Castle said, stepping outside then. "Could you hear me yelling?" he then quipped when the three women were looking at him.
"We did that already," Beckett told her husband firmly.
"We did," Castle echoed quickly since he could tell she wasn't in the mood. "Did you tell them about the picture?" he then asked swiftly so he could see her smile.
Beckett rolled her eyes, though she was smiling, and she turned to the McDouglas women telling them, "Julia sent me this picture," getting her phone from her purse.
Laughing at the sight of the teen, Skye said, "Something told me someone was going to do that."
"Me too, and to be honest I kind of figured it'd be Julia," Castle said.
"Well… she's not in trouble is she?" Skye started to ask before the question came to her. She was smiling when the teen's parents shook their heads no and then said, "Okay, then we should go."
After they were out in the hall Mary said, "I hope they have some kind of exercise after dinner."
"They will, Da will see to it," Skye assured her. She smiled and then said, "But if not they'll want to play in their villa."
"Hopefully dance if Paul plays anything," Castle reminded them.
"Oh no," Skye said with a groan.
"Not even for the three of us?" Mary asked her wife, putting her arm around her shoulder and kissing her cheek.
"I'll see," Skye replied in mock annoyance before they were stepping into the elevator car that had opened for them. When they were heading down to the restaurant's level she said, "We'll have to come back in here to reach the casino."
"That seems a little weird," Castle said.
Shrugging Skye said, "It's just how they do it here to be honest."
"I think he's hungry," Beckett said, smiling when her husband was frowning at her. "Well, you did say while we were getting dressed that you couldn't wait to get your hands on a fillet mignon."
"You're not going for the wagyu?" Skye asked him in a little surprise.
"No, it didn't have a price so I suggested to him he should get something else," Beckett said, smiling when her husband made a brief face at her.
"Probably will prefer that," Skye said with a smile before they were stepping out of the elevator and then making their way to the restaurant.
Watching Skye as the investigator was walking to the piano with her small glass of sherry, Castle asked, "Does this mean you're going to sing?"
"If it's one song, then yes," Skye replied, raising the cover on the keys and then handing her wife her glass which she had just finished drinking out of. She played up and down before she was saying, "I hope you don't have any requests."
"Not really," Castle said since Mary and his wife were looking at him first. "You have a song in mind?"
"I do," Skye said with a smile. "And yes I'm playing it on here grá," she said swiftly before she started to play the intro.
Hearing Mary laughing since the song was instantly recognizable, Beckett smiled at the couple and then her husband when his arm was wrapping around her waist. She leaned against him while they were listening to the lyrics the two women were soon singing together.
You might think I'm crazy
To hang around with you
Maybe you think I'm lucky
To have something to do
But I think that you're wild
Inside me is some child
You might think I'm foolish
Or maybe it's untrue (you might think)
You might think I'm crazy (but all I want)
All I want is you
You might think it's hysterical
But I know when you're weak
You think you're in the movies
And everything's so deep
But I think that you're wild
When you flash that fragile smile
You might think it's foolish
What you put me through (you might think)
You might think I'm crazy (but all I want)
All I want is you
And it was so hard to take
There's no escape without a scrape
But you kept it going till the sun fell down
You kept it going
Well, you might think I'm delirious
The way I run you down
But somewhere sometimes, when you're curious
I'll be back around
Oh I think that you're wild
And so uniquely styled
You might think it's foolish
This chancy rendezvous
You might think I'm crazy (but all I want)
But all I want is you
All I want is you
All I want is you
"Oh, thank you, thank you," Skye said, smiling when the writers were applauding. She was about to close the cover when her wife was stopping her and she said, "Grá," in a teasingly warning tone of voice.
"Just one by Stevie Wonder," Mary said before she whispered into her wife's ear.
Tensing for a moment, Skye looked at her watch and said, "That takes time."
"No instrumentals, just play it like you did for me that one time," Mary said firmly.
Breathing out a little hard, Skye then said, "And them?"
"Is it As? If it is, please play it," Castle said swiftly. He smiled when the other three were laughing at him and said, "There's room on that bench for two of you."
"And what if I wanted to play this as fast as I possibly could?" Skye asked jokingly.
Laughing briefly Castle said, "For your wife?"
"You know me too well," Skye said, sticking her tongue out at him playfully. "If you're going to dance with Kate do it behind us."
"That's the plan," Beckett herself said before she took her husband's hand and pulled him to the other side of the fireplace in the middle of the living room so they would be on the other side but not totally separate.
Skye couldn't help smiling at the pair leaving and she glanced at her wife who was sitting next to her and leaning her head on her shoulder. "Are you two ready?" she called to them after a moment.
"We are," Beckett called. She had wrapped her arms around Castle's neck while his went about her waist and they were holding each other firmly as they swayed to Skye and then both her and Mary singing the romantic air.
As around the sun the sun the earth knows she's revolving
And the rosebuds know to bloom in early May
Just as hate knows love's the cure
You can rest your mind assure
That I'll be loving you always
As now can't reveal the mystery of tomorrow
But in passing will grow older every day
Just as all is born is new
Do know what I say is true
That I'll be loving you always
Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky (Always)
Until the ocean overs every mountain high (Always)
Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea (Always)
Until we dream of live and life becomes a dream
Did you know that true love asks for nothing?
Her acceptance is the way we pay
Did you know that life has given love a guarantee?
To last through forever and another day
Just as time knew to move on since the beginning
And the seasons know exactly when to change
Just as kindness knows no shame
Know through all your joy and pain
That I'll be loving you always
As today I know I'm living but tomorrow
Could make me the past but that I mustn't fear
For I'll know deep in my mind
The love of me I've left behind
'Cause I'll be loving you always
Until the day is night and night becomes the day (Always)
Until the trees and seas just up and fly away (Always)
Until the day that eight times eight is four (Always)
Until the day that is the day that are no more
(Did you know that you're loved by somebody?)
Until the day the earth starts turning right to left (Always)
Until the earth just for the sun denies itself (I'll be loving you forever)
Until dear Mother Nature says her work is through (Always)
Until the day that you are me and I am you (Always)
Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky
Until the ocean covers every mountain high (Always)
We all know sometimes life's hates and troubles
Can make you wish you were born in another time and space
But you can bet your life times that and twice its double
That God knew exactly where he wanted you to be placed
So make sure when you say you're in it but not of it
You're not helping to make this earth a place sometimes called Hell
Change your words in to truths and then change that truth into love
And maybe our children's grandchildren
And their great-great grandchildren will tell
I'll be loving you
Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky (Loving you)
Until the ocean covers every mountain high (Loving you)
Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea (Loving you)
Until the we dream of life and life becomes a dream (Loving you)
Until the day is night and night becomes the day (Loving you)
Until the trees and seas up, up and fly away (Loving you)
Until the day that eight times eight times eight is four (Loving you)
Until the day that is the day that are no more (Loving you)
Until the day the earth starts turning right to left (Be loving you)
Until the earth just for the sun denies itself (Loving you)
Until dear Mother Nature says her work is through (Loving you)
Until the day that you are me and I am you (Now ain't that loving you)
Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky (Ain't that loving you)
Until the ocean covers every mountain high (And I've got to say always)
Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea (Always)
Until we dream of life and life becomes a dream (Always)
Until the day is night and night becomes the day (Always)
Until the trees and seas just up and fly away (Always)
Until the day that eight times eight times eight is four
Until the day that is the day that are no more (Always)
Until the day the earth starts turning right to left
Until the earth just for the sun denies itself (Always)
Until dear Mother Nature says her work is through
Until the day that you are me and I am you
Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky
Until the ocean covers every mountain high
Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea
Until we dream of life and life becomes a dream
Until the day is night and night becomes the day
Until the trees and seas just up and fly away
Until the day that eight times eight times eight is four
Until the day that is the day that are no more
Until the day the earth starts turning right to left
Until the earth just for the sun denies itself
Until dear Mother Nature says her work is through
Until the day that you are me and I am you
Gasping a little when she felt her husband kissing at her neck, Beckett tilted her head back and allowed him to continue. He was shortly after reaching her pulse and sucking at the skin above it lightly before she was making him stop by holding onto his head. She smiled when he looked at her in surprise and said, "You're just going to do this?"
"No, but I don't want to rush into it," Castle told her.
"I know," Beckett said, gently brushing her lips to his. "But we've been doing this for a while. The only things we have off are our shoes, your socks and jacket."
Castle looked down at his wife's body and nodded before he said, "Okay," reaching around her back and then unzipping her in one smooth motion.
Tensing when she had felt that for a moment, Beckett smiled and told him, "You're a pervert."
"And you just complained about having too much on," Castle teased her. He watched her laugh before he leaned into her and was crushing her lips with his own. When he was eventually pulling away he nuzzled her lips and told her, "Let me help you."
"If I can do the same for you," Beckett replied. She wasn't surprised when her husband nodded rapidly in agreement and they were soon moving together to get off the bed. She unbuttoned her husband's shirt before he could grab for her, and she soon had it open and off his shoulders. She opened his fly while he took off the dress shirt and let him take the rest off as she watched. As soon as his attention was back on her, she reached up with a smile, pushing her dress off of her shoulders so it would slide the floor. She wasn't surprised when her husband was racing to get the dress and put it on an armchair in the alcove off their bed.
With that set, Castle was turning back to his wife and paused for a moment seeing she'd removed her panties while he'd been turned away. He quickly shook himself and continued to her before kissing her hard while he held her so he could run his hands over her back. He caressed at her a little until he couldn't resist and was soon grasping her ass in his hands. Their kiss ended when since she was letting out a little cry of joy and he said, "Good?"
"Yes," Beckett breathed a little heavily. "But… we should probably get on the bed."
Castle was about to respond to that before he realized she was right and he nodded saying, "Good point." With her laughter ringing in his ears he tried not to jump onto the bed while he followed her. Once they were on the mattress together he was overjoyed she was parting her legs for him immediately. Gazing over the entirety of her body he swallowed a little hard and then controlled himself by kissing her on the lips.
Though she had wanted her husband to begin, Beckett didn't stop him and was soon responding to his increasingly fervent kiss. Their tongues were tangling around each other eagerly and then caressing until they needed to catch their breath. "What're you going to do?" she whispered to him when she could speak without panting.
About to say whatever she wanted, Castle stopped himself again and told her, "What would you like?"
"Hard and fast," Beckett said easily. She couldn't help smiling when her husband's eyes widened and she reminded him, "We have a flight tomorrow."
"And brunch," Castle said, breathing out hard. When his wife nodded he said, "Like this for the first time?" nodding down at her to indicate their position.
"Hurry," was Beckett's response as she reached up to her husband. She was relieved when he moved down to her hurriedly and while they were kissing she was reaching in between them to his erection. It wasn't hard to find and she was gently curling her fingers around him before he was raising his hips above her. When he was eventually sinking inside of her slowly she couldn't help the moan of absolute pleasure she let out at the sensation of him. Their hips met, and she was quick to wrap her legs around him so he would begin to move, which he luckily did. She did her best to meet his thrusts, but the faster they became the more difficult it was.
Feeling his wife's struggle, Castle moved to put his hands under her ass and held her tilted up a little. At the same time he was trying to move even faster and he was groaning while his wife was crying out. "This is… what you wanted," he managed to say though he was panting from his exertions and the intense friction between them.
"And you! Oh Rick please, fuck me harder!" Beckett pleaded. She could feel him trying to tilt his hips a little differently down to her, and she was nearly clawing at his back since she was finding it harder to resist the rising pleasure inside her. A short time later she was breaking, her orgasm filling her with ecstasy and her body feeling Castle's following her. She was clinging to him, nearly climaxing a second time before she calmed and was still below her husband, breathing a little hard.
When he had stopped thrusting himself, Castle moved his hands and tried to withdraw from his wife. He wasn't very surprised when she was stopping him by tightening her legs and arms around him and he smiled saying, "I would like to lay down."
"You're no fun," Beckett teased him though she was shortly after letting him go. She watched him nearly flopping onto his back and then moved swiftly to lay against his side telling him, "Thank you for that."
"You're very welcome… it was kind of necessary," Castle said. When he saw the questioning look in his wife's eyes he told her honestly, "That song was long."
"I was rubbing against you?" Beckett asked. She couldn't help laughing when her husband was nodding and said, "Pervert."
"Definitely," Castle agreed, taking his wife's kiss. When they had parted he told her, "Do you want to stop? Continue?"
"Maybe one more time," Beckett said, turning back onto her side and pressing against him. "Though I need a little before we start up again."
"Me too," Castle said in a rush. He then hesitated for a moment and asked, "Would you want to come back here?"
"I don't know," Beckett said, sounding cautious. "It's nice but I think I like what there is for us in Vegas. Maybe one day we could come with the others after Valentine's instead of the ball."
"Maybe," Castle said before he was quick to change the subject. "Could I touch you Kate?"
"Of course," Beckett said, smiling when her husband was making her lay fully on her back. She watched him and said, "Not too much."
"No, but…" Castle started to say before he leaned into her and was kissing her tenderly. He then deepened it and was pleased when he felt the way his wife was responding. That led him to have the courage to slip his tongue into her mouth and they were dueling and caressing at one another again until they were slowly parting at his instigation.
Looking into her husband's eyes, Beckett couldn't help smiling and told him, "That wasn't enough."
"You have something in mind?" Castle asked. He was startled when she was suddenly getting up and making her way to one of the closets in the room, pulling out a spare sheet. He got up as fast as he could without jarring his knee and took it from her saying, "Just let me know."
Beckett smirked at him and nodded to where she wanted it, watching him glance at the bench at the end of the bed. Half expecting him to ask if she was sure or to make sure that was the location, she was a little surprised he was unfolding the sheet and laying it over the bench completely. "Do you want a reward?" she asked him when he turned to her.
His eyes growing wide at that question, Castle was about to answer when his wife was gently pushing on his left shoulder to guide him to sit. He swallowed a little roughly and told her, "You're going to kill me love."
"And where would I be?" Beckett asked simply, straddling his lap. She lowered herself enough so his groin was pressed against her sex and they were both groaning in pleasure at the sensation before she was wrapping her arms around his neck. Kissing him, she started out gently at first, but at the same time they deepened it and were clinging to one another as their tongues met in her mouth again. Caressing at him, she was relieved her husband caught her cue and with that she slightly pushed herself up and then lowered her body back down on him. Hearing him groaning in pleasure she pulled back and said, "I only need this."
"Seriously?" Castle said, his groan still in his voice. When his wife's response was to kiss him he was holding onto her tighter and feeling her beginning to move on him again he was trying to stop her.
"I'm not ready yet," Beckett told him, getting a little breathless with her exertions. She was moving for a few seconds more and then stopped, managing to push herself up enough so she could reach for his erection. It took only a moment and she was finally able to lower herself, moaning unendingly until they were fully coupled and she leaned into her husband.
"Okay?" Castle asked, his voice husky with his excitement.
"Yes…" Beckett breathed before she was leaning back a little. "I'm going to go fast-" she started to say.
"Slowly and then speed up," Castle told her. He wasn't surprised when she didn't answer him immediately but was relieved when she eventually nodded before leaning into him. They were kissing each other deeply then before they were apart and she leaned back in his hold.
Though she wanted to ask her husband how he'd known she wanted to do that, Beckett couldn't wait any longer and was pushing herself up. She was biting her lower lip at the sensation of him sliding through her before she was going back down. Holding onto his shoulders, she was squeezing at them tightly and then closing her eyes so she could control herself and work them up to being rough together.
Watching his wife, Castle had the opportunity to view his length disappearing and reappearing with her thrusts. He held her carefully, aware she was putting all her weight on him but tried to kiss at her where he could. He knew he was succeeding since he could hear her gentle gasps and moans where he was able to touch her with his lips. Eventually he could feel her speeding up a little and he thought he was smiling since he was sure it hadn't been that long since she'd begun. But she was moving again and straightening up in his hold, making him scramble to go with the change in her balance. It was then he realized he wasn't going to be able to ask her to keep to a slower pace and decided he didn't want to while he watched her movements on him.
Beckett did her best to work herself up to the rhythm her husband had had on the bed, relieved the bench cushion was strong enough for her knees. She was soon kissing Castle hungrily, reassured when he responded to her and it was adding to the pleasure mounting in her body. Just as she realized that, she moved herself too high up and too quickly and they were uncoupling to their groans of disappointment. "I forgot about that," she panted a little to her husband while she was lowering herself again with his help.
"Me too," Castle said. He stopped her before she could move and asked, "You didn't want to do that did you?"
"I know you'd explode if I touch you right now love," Beckett said. She then hesitated and asked, "Could I touch-"
"No," Castle said immediately. "I'm not being mean or anything but we were talking about me exploding." He was soon groaning in pleasure when his wife laughed, grasping at her a little desperately and told her, "Again love."
"Sorry," Beckett said, trying to calm down as quickly as she could.
"It's okay," Castle said. "Just… are you close?" He let out a little breath of relief when she was nodding and he said, "Then finish us both off love, please."
With a second nod, Beckett kissed her husband deeply for a little before she pulled away and then proceeded to move her body up and down him again. It took her a moment to get back to the rhythm she was at before since she was also trying to stay on him. When she could feel herself reaching her breaking point, she was digging her nails a little into her husband's shoulders. He suddenly began kissing wildly at her breasts and then neck and she knew he was with her. The thought of it and feeling their orgasms again made her reach hers, and the literal explosion of pleasure made her cry out his name in ecstasy before she realized he was saying hers in the same way. She had to control her body on top of him, trying to keep them coupled but worried it was nearly impossible. She somehow managed to do it and slumped against him once they were both still, feeling his length throbbing in her. "Rick?" she whispered a little after that when she felt she could speak.
"My love," Castle groaned, running his hand over her hair and then through it towards the bottom. "You're a goddess," he told her seriously.
Kissing his cheek and then his lips, Beckett smiled and said, "Sheik." She was letting out a gasp shortly after when her husband was standing up and racing to wrap her arms and legs around him. "What're you doing love?" she asked him.
"We need to make love," Castle said firmly. "The entire time," he added once he'd laid her on the bed, still inside of her. "And then we'll do whatever you want."
"I'll probably need to sleep," Beckett told him honestly.
Castle couldn't help pause and then said seriously, "Me too." He was smiling when his wife was laughing at him softly and he said, "It's a lot of work."
"I know, I was going through it too," Beckett said. "But…"
"You're not quite ready," Castle said.
"No, could you lay down next to me?" Beckett asked.
"Of course," Castle said seriously, carefully withdrawing from his wife and then laying on his back. He wrapped his arm around her once she was cuddled against his side and he leaned up a little so he could take her lips in a gentle kiss.
When they had parted, Beckett smiled and said, "I love you Rick."
"I love you too Kate," Castle said, smiling back at her. They moved towards one another at the same time and were kissing harder that time before he was caressing her side and ass. When she had pulled away from him abruptly he asked in concern, "Too much?"
"No," Beckett said with a smile. "You made me forget what I wanted to do."
About to ask her what that was, Castle was throwing his head back and hissing through his clenched teeth. His wife was gently fondling him under his length and he said, "If you get me off-"
Stopping her husband with a gentle kiss, Beckett pulled back and smiled at him saying, "I won't. I just want a little something for me."
"And a lot for me," Castle breathed. "Okay… I trust you and I'll tell you if it's too much."
"It won't be," Beckett replied firmly. She caressed at him a little more but soon stopped and made him move so he was above her as she lay on the middle of the bed.
Gazing into each other's eyes, Castle and Beckett were shortly after kissing sensuously, slowly, before they were moving to initiate their lovemaking. Though it would be the last time that night, they were eager to explore what they could do to physically feel their intense love and desire for one another.
