Summary:

Samira is now fully sure that that is not Jack Abbot - his gaze, while intense, is not kind. His wrinkles are those of someone who must spend a lot of time with a frown. She thinks he may just growl at her, but he doesn't. Samira has the feeling that she should apologize for staring, but he's now the one who won't look away, so she decides this is the perfect time to give her book another chance. She finishes another three chapters along with her drink, never once taking her eyes off her Kindle. When she asks the bartender for the check, he tells her is already been taking care of. She looks to where the man was, but he's no longer there - only his empty glass.

In which Samira Mohan is in Rhode Island trying to figure out what she's going to do with her life and meets Titus Danforth. She thinks he looks so much like Dr. Abbot, except that Titus' eyes aren't nice and his face is constantly frown. She decides she needs to find out who this man is, only to realize a little too late maybe she sholdn't have.

Notes:

so this came to me because i simply couldn't stop thinking about titus after ready or not 2, and i think we can all put our pretend glasses and imagine a world in which ready or not and the pitt exist - imagine them trying to deal with a body exploding in the ED.

this is quite unedited, but i wanted to share before i got too shy about it. if you've read any of my other fics, this one is so much different so please beware of the tags.

Work Text:

Samira didn't think that a weekend in Rhode Island would make up for the fact that her mom is still planning to go on a year long cruise with a man she barely knows. However, her PTO kept accumulating and she wasn't above accepting a free stay, even if the free stay was coming out of guilt. Her mom had offered Samira all her points for a hotel in Newport, they're going to expire while i am way, you should use them mira.

After calling in a few favors, switching shifts, and putting in the time off request, Samira found herself at the bar of the Danforth Resort, with her Kindle and what she considers a mediocre romance book. The drive had been long, but she had stopped by New Jersey to say hi to her mom and to look at all the boxes that were waiting for her on the drive back.

She thinks her espresso martini must be stronger than she realizes when her eyes catch a man that looks like a copy of Dr. Abbot. She had given up on her book about 10 minutes ago, and decided instead to sip her drink while scrolling on her phone, when she sees him walking in from across the room. She's about to pinch herself, make sure she's not hallucinating, until she realizes that it is not Jack Abbot.

The man is dressed in all black, a sharp contrast to the khakis and polos all the other vacationing men seem to be wearing. If she had to guess, she'd say the man is slightly younger than Dr. Abbot. He approaches the bar and slightly taps on the wood with his fingers, the sound of his ring loud enough to catch the attention of the bartender. The kid, who can't be older than 22, immediately abandons what he was doing and pours some sort of liquor - whiskey, scotch, she never truly learned the difference - into a glass in front of the man. She's about to look away when he turns around and finds her watching.

The next day, Samira trades the beach for the pool. Her book hasn't gotten better, but she had promised Victoria she'd read it. She wishes she had brought her computer instead, which had more articles she could count waiting for her. Samira thinks the point of a vacation is to relax, and reading articles is relaxing to her, but that argument hadn't gone well with the younger doctor and so her computer remained in Pittsburgh.

Around 3pm, when the tiredness from the sun starts to settle in, she decides to take a nap. She doesn't remember when's the last time she took a real nap - not a nap in an on-call room during a double shift - but a nap without an alarm. It must've been a while, because by the time she wakes up, it is 8pm and her stomach is begging for food. She changes into more appropriate clothes than her tank top and pajamas shorts and prays that the restaurant can still take her in. The resort had gotten significantly more crowded today, filled with people like her who too were looking to spend the weekend relaxing.

She's not surprised when the host lets her know that unfortunately they're booked for the night, but that she could get some snacks by the bar in the lounge. She's half listening, thinking if it is worth driving out for food or if she can survive on appetizers until breakfast, when she sees the man in one of the tables by the back. She wonders if he has eyes on his back, because he's now turned around and staring at her. She's not sure how long they are like that, looking at each other, but it must be long enough as the older blonde woman sitting in front of him grabs his hand, trying to get his attention. Samira realizes very quickly that they can't be dating, because the man moves away his hand fast, refusing the touch. The host clears his throat, getting Samira's attention, and she realizes that a line is starting to form behind her. She apologizes and makes her way to the bar.

She's halfway through a gin and tonic and some peanuts, when a worker shows up behind the bar and places a plate of pasta in front of her. She's confused and before she can ask any questions, the worker is gone.

"You should eat that before it gets cold". His voice is low, not what she expected, but she doesn't need to turn around to know who it belongs to.

"I thought only snacks were available at the bar". She responds, and for the first time, she intentionally looks at him. Now that he's closer, she can see he's wearing dark jeans and a black shirt that is maybe one size too small.

"For a fair price most things can be arranged". He's now sitting in the stool next to her, and he doesn't need to tap his ring before a glass is in front of him.

"Well, uhm, thank you…?" Her voice is low now too, and she should be concerned at how excited she is about the fact that she's about to learn the mysterious man's name.

"Titus, and you're welcome". His eyes have not gotten any less intense, but there's the faintest hint of a smile when she lets a small chuckle. "I know, family name, nothing I could do about that".

Samira had decided by the end of her first drink that she'd probably sleep with Titus. He had been impressed by her being a doctor and had let her ramble about her research, the one she had lost the funding for, about her mom and why was she at Rhode Island, and about Robby, how nothing she ever did was right for him. Titus offered commentary every once in a while, but he mainly listened. By the end of her second drink, he was significantly closer to her, and his fingers were tracing small circles on her thigh - right below where the hem of her skirt ended. By the end of her third drink, she found herself in his room. He had explained he spent a lot of time in the resort for business, but he lived in a house just nearby. The word house had felt like an oversimplification looking at the mansion she found herself in.

His bedroom was massive, with a floor to wall bookshelf full of books and a king size bed.

Samira commented that the the books look old, but I bet they're all better than this stupid romance i've been trying to read because she wasn't sure what else she was supposed to say. Titus had sneaked upon her, pinned her hands against the shelf, and asked what's the issue with your book sweetheart. Samira contemplated actually explaining to him that the the main character was so oblivious it was hard to read, that she wanted to get in the story and scream at her to read all the signs and make the right choices. She decides against it when she realized she can just roll her hips against his growing erection. Maybe all she needs is to fuck a stranger a couple of states away and everything else in her life will fall into place.

His kiss is rough, and she can taste something bitter along the liquor. She's not too focused trying to figure that out, because they've somehow made it to his bed without any clothes. She should be ashamed at how wet she is - all they've done is kiss, grind their hips a little - but it has been so long since anyone has wanted her, so long since anyone had looked at her like she's the only thing that matters. Titus breaks the kiss, leaving a trail of marks on her skin. He takes his time with her breasts. They aren't big, so she's used to men not paying a lot of attention to them, but Titus seems to like them. He wraps his mouth around her nipples, pulling with his teeth. It should hurt, it hurts, but it also feels so good she thinks with more time she'd be able to come from just that.

When he finally reaches below her stomach, she's about to ask if he has a condom, but is instead met with the feeling of wetness around her center. He spits on her, licks around her entrance, until he finds her clit and he bites, one, two, three times. She lets out a scream and is about to ask him to stop, when he switches to what could only be described as devouring her. It is not methodical or precise, but he's everywhere. His arms keep her legs spread wide open, pinned against the mattress, even when her orgasm hit and her legs shake.

It takes her a second to compose herself, which is a second too long because he's now taking off his underwear and lining up her entrance.

"Do you have a condom?" She doesn't recognize her own voice, and blames it on the fact that she's just had the first orgasm that wasn't with her vibrator in over a year.

"No, but I can pull out. I really don't sleep around Samira". She knows better, she's a fucking doctor, but she really, really needs to feel him inside of her. She has an IUD and there's something that makes her think he's not lying.

"Okay, but can I ride you? Just to be sure". It is a half attempt at regaining some control, some control that she lost about 3 drinks ago.

Titus doesn't respond, but instead lays next to her with his back against the headboard. Samira finally takes a look at him and she's glad she asked because he's big. The head of his dick is red, leaking with precum. As she slowly sinks down, she wishes he had fingered her first. She's stretched out, feeling every single vein that covers his lenght, and takes a deep breath once he's all in. Samira starts to move slowly, rolling her hips in the way she knows man like, when he stops her.

"I want to see you cum again Samira. Use me like you want to." She considers the idea that maybe she never woke up from her nap and is still dreaming.

It doesn't take her long to get there, his cock is curved and is hitting all the right spots, the friction of his pelvis on her clit pushing her further. She thinks it is oddly intimate for two strangers. He doesn't stop looking at her, soft moans escaping his lips - almost as if he doesn't want them to. There's some sweat dripping from his face onto his neck and she thinks her hand would look so good there. She moves it from where it is resting on his shoulder and slowly wraps it around his neck, without putting any pressure. He doesn't react, and when she finally tightens it, his strained voice whispers pretty girl just wanted to be in control, that's okay sweetheart.

It doesn't take her long to come again, this time with a muffled scream on his shoulder. Her legs are cramping, but she's had two orgams already, so she knows the right thing to do is to get him there too. Except that he's holding her wrists behind her, on her lower back, thrusting into her with an animalistic strenght. She reminds him he needs to pull out but he only thrusts deeper, hitting the perfect spot inside of her, whispering in her ear but you feel so good, are you sure you want me to stop? i think you're about to cum again, come on sweetheart let me fill you up, i promise i will clean my mess.

Samira is trying to do all sorts of math - when was her last period and if she adds a day or two where does that put her - but it feels so good and his whispers have now become full groans was that a nod sweetheart? yeah, i think it was, i think the pretty girl wants to feel me leak out of her.

Her orgasm is so intense she thinks a part of her brain rewired, or that's what she'll tell herself tomorrow. She's fully whimpering yes, yes, yes and that's all Titus needs before splling inside of her.

Her legs are sore as she collapses on her stomach, and she knows she needs to clean up and leave, but his fingers have finally found her pussy. He's fucking her with two of them, slowly, while his thumb rubs her sensitive clit. His teeth biting her neck and back. She hisses at the pain, but he's now added a third finger and she's not sure how, but she's coming again as he just repeats there, good girl, just take it all in.

Samira should get up, she should get up and pee. She needs to find her clothes and go back to her hotel room, but it’s almost as if the tension of all the past months evaporated all at once. Her brain has finally convinced her body it is time to move when she feels a warm towel on her, groaning when Titus presses it harder than he should around her overstimulated clit.

She’s almost asleep when she feels his hands lifting her chin, forcing her mouth open as he brings a glass of cold water to her. Samira doesn’t have time to think where did the water come from because she’s gagging. Titus tells her to slow down and Samira wants to point out he's the one pouring the water, but she physically cant. He must deem half the glass as enough, because he stops and lets her drop back to the mattress.

She really needs to go. She needs to pack. Check out is at 10 a.m., but his sheets are so soft. Before she realizes, Titus is wrapping an arm around her, bringing her so close to him that she feels his heart beart. She's almost claustrophobic when one of his legs finds a way between her thights, wrapping his body entirely around her, with his hand grabbing one of her boobs, the coldness of his ring against her warm skin sending a jolt through her.

Samira thinks she should be finding her phone to at least set up an alarm. She doesn’t want to deal with the late checkout fees, but her eyes are so heavy and he’s pressing kisses in the skin behind her ear. As she dozes off, she swears she can hear him say such a perfect little brain but couldn’t see what you were walking into. good thing you won’t have to worry about that anymore, you’re all mine now sweetheart.

She has a weird dream. She’s in the woods, and there’s a full moon. Samira has this feeling that she has to get out, find a way out there. She sees a trail of roses, but when she looks closer, she sees they’re not normal roses. They’re dripping blood. Curiosity gets the best of her, and she tries to touch one, but she's stopped by two blonde girls who are grabbing her arm and screaming at her you have to run, you have to leave, you have to run, you have to leave. It almost sounds like a chant, but her heart is racing, so she runs. Samira is almost all the way out through the bloody roses, when she abruptly hits a wall.

She opens her eyes and finds that she's covered in sweat. She must’ve moved throughout the night because Titus' arms are now wrapped around her waist, his grip as tight as before. Samira tries to move, but he’s really got a hold of her so she just whispers i need to pee i’ll be right back. He answers with a mumble that sounds more like a growl.

She starts to pick up her clothes through the room while she makes her way to the bathroom. She gets dressed as fast as possible and thinks she should flush so Titus thinks she did pee, but decides against it because she has the feeling her chances of leaving will only decrease the more awake he is.

Samira thanks God when the door doesn’t creek and once she’s down the first floor, she runs. She thinks of Victoria, who has been forcing her to the gym on their free days, when she makes it to the end of the driveway.

She's met with strange eyes from the guard on the cubicle by the gate. Samira tries to regain composure and tells him that Titus told her to get the fuck out. She doesn’t think he’d say that to her, but she thinks Titus is the kind of man who would say that. Her suspicions are confirmed correct when the guard opens the gate for her. Before resuming her run, she takes a look and sees a light on the second floor. If she squints, she thinks she can make up a figure on the window.

Samira doesn’t need to worry about a possible late check out fee, because she’s on her car not even 30 minutes later. She’s not sure she’s not forgetting half her clothes but she can buy new ones.

When she makes it back to Pittsburgh a few days later, she finds out Robby had gotten into an accident during his roadtrip. A really bad accident. For a few days, they’re not sure he’ll pull through, but he eventually does. Samira should be ashamed her first feeling is not happiness, but relief. She remembers how she told Titus sometimes I wish I could hurt him just as much as he hurts me. Logically, she knows she had nothing to do with what happened to him, but she has a hard time pushing the feeling away.

Her and Jack become closer. He spends the next few months helping her with fellowship applications. They celebrate when Presby offers her an attending position with plenty of budget for her research, funded by some wealthy private donor.

When she gets an invitation to present at a symposium, she asks Jack if he’ll join her. They’ve only been officially together for a month. Samira is afraid he won’t be too keen on the idea of spending a whole weekend together just yet, but Jack is more than happy to drive to Rhode Island to watch her present.

He tries to hide his concern when Samira makes him swear he will not let her out of his sight the entire time.

Notes:

i like to think that titus decided to use some of his power for good, only to make sure that samira finds her way back to him.
