Work Text:
I couldn’t sleep, how would I with what I've done? All I could do with this guilt was stare at the darkness and hope something would pop out and swallow me whole right here and now, but I’m not that lucky, was this the Karma they’ve told me would consume me? I had no idea, I've never had to deal with this much guilt before.
He sat up before he could convince himself otherwise,
it was only fair I'd pay a visit after making him do that. It's my fault she’s gone, it’s my fault he’s so hurt. I have to see him, it’s been a month and he hasn’t come out of his house for anything. I need him with me for this, I know it’s been hard for everyone but he can’t just leave me like this.
He’s already out of the front door and walking down the street before he even notices he got out of bed,
Sunny would come out for me, right? After what we’ve done he has to, right? I’m already in front of their door, no turning back now. I knock, once, twice, thrice, nothing.
He walks up to their fence, he’s never climbed one before but it can’t be THAT hard, right?
It’s extremely hard. By the time Basil makes it over he’s retracing every choice that lead him here
This is stupid, i’m stupid, i’m trespassing, i need to leave…..but i’m already here…..but it’s past midnight, they’re all sleeping, god, what’s wrong with me, after what we’ve done he needs space, not a disturbance in the middle of the night. But….he can’t just leave me alone like this, I can’t make it without him….
He picks up a decent rock and tries to not look at that tree
That’s it, I'm insane. I'm going to throw rocks at his window in the middle of the night like a crazy person.
It doesn’t take much force to make the rocks clatter against the window loud enough, it does take a lot of force to keep doing it until Sunny wakes up and looks out the window. Before he immediately overlooks Basil and goes back to sleep, leaving the other alone, again.
