Yoongi turns and pouts to his eomma begging with his big watering eyes to get some mercy. He is only 4 but he’s not a fool; daycares are not a good place. He just knows it. “I’ll pick you up as soon as I can, honey!” His mother kisses him on his puffy rosy cheek and leaves –Yoongi is been held by one of the noonas for him not to start running after the woman (by the same woman request).
“Look sweetie, you can go around and play wherever you want. I’ll give you cookies and juice later okay?”
Yoongi is pouting but he isn’t crying. He’s already a big boy to start crying and much less in front of strangers. He walks to the corner where lots of puffy cushions are placed and plots his tiny butt in a red one. He likes that color. He scans around the room and sees other children like him playing around and turns his gaze down when he realizes that two kids are looking at him. He is little shy.
The two boys approach soon enough, one of them three steps away from the other. Yoongi distracts himself with a little bear plushy lying on one of the cushions.
“Hi! Hi!” The boy with the yellow shirt sits by Yoongi’s side and grins wide at him.
“Tae!” the other boy finally arrives and plots himself on yellow shirt-smiley’s lap.
Yoongi blinks cutely –according to the yellow ducky shirt kid. “You’re so cute” Yoongi likes when people call him cute. Yoongi really, really likes so he is smiling back before realizing. “I’m Tae!” he has a name now, Yoongi nods. “Kookie-ah! Isn’t he cute?” he points to the other boy.
“Kookie…” Yoongi repeats tilting his head to the side. He also likes cookies a lot.
“He’s Kookie and I’m TaeTae!”
Yoongi blinks and pouts eyeing the smaller black haired boy referred as ‘Kookie’. “Are you yummy?” Yoongi likes yummy cookies.
There’re some giggles behind them that call their attention. “He is not food!” Two more boys sit on the other available cushions. “His name is Jeongguk” he then points at Tae. “He is Taehyung and I’m Seokjin. I’m five and a half!” He says proudly. Yoongi nods again. “This is Jiminie!” He points at his friend.
Yoongi shift his gaze to the other boy that is eyeing him curiously or meticulously. It takes a few moments but soon Jimin is beaming, his whole face illuminates, he is also soon enough clinging to Yoongi’s right arm.
“You like him?” Seokjin asks.
“Yes!”
“What’s your name?” Taehyung asks.
He points at himself. “Yoongi!”
The noona from before shows up again, “I see you already made some friends” She has another two boys by the hands. “Here you have more. This is Hoseokie, he’s 4 and this is Namjoon, he’s five. Be good with them too! I’ll bring you something to eat in a bit, okay?”
Yoongi waves at the others with his Jimin-free hand.
“Hello minions!” Namjoon says pulling out a PSP.
Hoseok sits himself closer to the others. “He is a pabo!” He comments.
Yoongi’s first interaction with Jeongguk happens half an hour later when Taehyung is lead to the bathroom by one of the noonas and Jeongguk stays next to Yoongi by Taehyung request of ‘take care of my Kookie, I’ll be back fast’.
Jeongguk stares at him for a moment before lowering his gaze while his puffy cheeks gain a little pink.
Taehyung told him before that he is four and Jeongguk three and that his Kookie is a shy bunny when Jeongguk refused to take Yoongi to where the Legos are. “I think you’re yummy” Yoongi says. “You wanna be my friend?” Another thing to add at Yoongi list of things he really likes is friends; he has a bunch on the street he lives. Jeongguk stares at him again and then nods. Yoongi can notice more clearly the rosy on his cheeks.
Yoongi keeps eating the cookies he was given but keeps ogling at Jeongguk, still in Taehyung’s personal space.
“Jeongguk is cute like you” Seokjin appears by his side and gives him one of the two little cars he has.
“I’m cute…” Yoongi mumbles playing with the car.
Yoongi’s mom keeps asking him what kind of cookie is the one he wants at the store later that day. Yoongi keeps telling him he wants the ‘cookie’ from the daycare and his mother only can look back to the shelves where lots of cookies are placed, not of them seem to be the one her son is asking for.

When Yoongi comes back again to the Daycare he barely says bye to his mom, the woman still stays a little longer to ask one of the workers what’s the brand of cookies they buy and Yoongi goes running around looking –is a radical change from the first day.
Yoongi finds Jimin, who clings to him with a smile telling him that TaeTae and Kookie are at the playground outside. Yoongi walks with him and succumbs to Jimin’s wishes to hold hands.
“Am I cute?” Jimin asks him playfully with a big smile.
Yoongi tilts his head to him and well, “You’re cute” Jimin is.
“We are gonna be so happy when we get marry” Jimin has both hands cupping his chubby cheeks.
Yoongi giggles. Jimin is very cute “Okay”
When they get to the place, Taehyung is playing with a pink ball along Hoseok while Jeongguk is sitting with a red one on his lap watching them.
“Wanna play?” Yoongi asks him, Jimin still by his side grinning. Jeongguk stays quiet for a few seconds then he nods and a tiny smile forms on his lips. Yoongi is happy.

After two months, he has gotten used to it, Yoongi walks around and sees at his right Jaebum and Jackson once again rolling around fighting over Mark’s blanket while the other just cheers for them both. Yoongi also walks close to where the small babies are, he has been introduced to Bambam (apparently no one can pronounce his name well), who is currently with his milk bottle next to a sleepy Yugyeom.
Channie is walking around as much fast as his little legs allows him to, Yongguk is behind him holding Himchan’s teddy bear and Himchan has his two hands cupping his cheeks because, “Waaah, I lost my baby”
Yoongi tilts his head –Himchan always says that.
Yongguk is 5 so he rolls his eyes at the statement “Junhong is your brother not your baby”
Himchan turns and grabs him by the collar of Yongguk’s kitties t-shirt “It’s my baby!” He shrieks. Himchan is 5 too.
Yongguk shifts his gaze around and smiles. “Look, there he is!”
Junhong is currently crawling to where Jongup is playing with a bunch of plushies. Himchan pouts, Junhong is always looking for Jongup –Himchan feels slightly left out, nothing Yongguk can’t fix by hugging him and telling him to go steal candies while his baby plays with his friend.
Yoongi goes for a nap.

Yoongi wants to take his Kookie back to his house but he somehow manages to understand that Jeongguk and Taehyung are a package deal, so he asks both of them to his birthday party.
In the said party Jimin, giving him his present, affirms once again that he and Yoongi are going to get marry soon. Yoongi doesn’t know exactly what that means but he agrees as long as he can take his Kookie with him –so that would mean Taehyung is included too.
Namjoon, who is stuffing his mouth with cake (that hasn’t being cut yet), mumbles something close to polygamy but none of them understand that either way. And Hoseok is poking his cheek saying he looks like a pig.

Back to the Daycare
Hoseok keeps saying Namjoon is a pabo and Jin keeps telling him that’s a bad word for small kids. Hoseok is not a small kid, he protest but Namjoon and Jin stand next to him –looking at him down. Hoseok starts crying then and soon he has two nervous hyungs giving him toys and their own candies, so he keeps crying –and calling pabo to both –Yoongi has watched the whole scene sitting with a juice box, waiting patiently. His Kookie hasn’t come yet.
It’s before noon that Jimin is drop at the center and he has something special to show him.
“Yoongi!” He calls all smiley and sweet. “Look! Look!” He opens his hands and Yoongi sees two rings in them, they’re red and shining. “For us! I got them with my candies! Pretty, right?” He pouts.
Yoongi nods and smiles for the first time since he got there that day. Jimin is really cute too. They both wear the rings on their thumbs and play for the rest of the day.
When Yoongi sees Jeongguk again, three days later due to a cold, the boy actually runs to him. Yoongi gets surprised in a warm hug follow by a small “miss you, hyung” and is all complete again.
Jimin brings another red ring a few days later and now Jeongguk has a matching item –Jimin also tells him that Yoongi is “mine more” and Jeongguk nods without getting it and it really doesn’t matter to him because now he has something on his hand like Yoongi and when Yoongi takes the hand he can stop ogling at, his cheeks turn pink and he’s so, so happy.
