In all the years Carlos has known Jannik, the Italian has never, ever called him. Polite texts here and there, sure. Back in the day, before their lives became as complicated as they are now, when they used to hang out a little more outside of tennis, they even almost had what one could consider a normal WhatsApp chat. But that was a lifetime ago. And even then, Jannik’s never been one to call him up, especially not several times in a row.
