Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Departure

Chapter Text

"Wake up, Akira-kun!"

Thud!

"Gah! Damn you, Nii-san!"

I did not yelp like a little girl as I was yanked out of bed by a familiar invisible force and tumbled all over the floor. I rubbed my eyes and looked up to see my brother looking down at me with that ever-present smug expression.

"Hehe, don't glare at me so harshly. Don't you think you should thank your brother for helping get you up for free?"

My eyes narrowed, and I glared even harder, hoping that maybe somehow I'd be able to get him to combust if I glared hard enough. But knowing him, even combusting him probably wouldn't help.

"Maybe I'd be happy about it if you were a cute girl. Please die and reincarnate into one."

He crouched down and poked my cheek while feigning a pout.

"Aww, c'mon. Don't treat your dear brother so harshly, I might even cry, you know."

Holding back a sigh of frustration, I got up and went to my bedside before grabbing a glass of water and chucking it at him.

Splash!

"Aha, maybe I got on your nerves a bit too much this time? ...Is it about your promotion?"

My eye twitched as I watched the water hover inches away from his smug fucking mug.

"What do you think!?"

He put his hands on his hips and sighed.

"Look, Akira, I know you are frustrated. But it is 1 pm. You can't just waste away in bed all day. At least take a walk or something."

I tossed myself back into bed.

"Maybe I'd have something to do other than sleep if I got promoted. But training clearly isn't working."

Unfortunately, before I reached the bed, I was pulled back by the force again and put back on my feet.

"Akira, you are doing well. You shouldn't compare yourself to me."

He was lying.

I was his brother, so I could tell it easily enough. He did not believe I was doing well. He was just saying it.

"You wouldn't get it, Nii-san." I looked at his eyes before sighing. "I'm going to go to the yard to train."

He scratched his hair again and patted me on the shoulder.

"Well, that's the spirit! If you need any help, just call for me!"

With that, he vanished from the room, unable to bear with the awkwardness. And I didn't blame him. Must be hard to stare at a broken mirror of yourself.

Shaking my head, I headed for the bathroom; it was too early in the morning for self-deprecation and inferiority complexes.

Slam!

Throwing open the door to the bathroom a bit too roughly than I intended, I splashed my face with ice-cold water and looked in the mirror.

"You look like shit."

Reflected in the mirror was my face. Snow-white hair fell down to my shoulders, and my sky white blue eyes, just like my brother's, looked back at me as if they were mocking me.

My grip on the sink tightened.

"Fucking shit!"

Crash!

I slammed my fist into the mirror and felt the broken shards cut open my fist.

That was probably a bad idea. Wasn't it?

Let's resume with introductions.

I am Gojo.

No, not that Gojo. I am Gojo Akira.

I am the younger brother of that Gojo. The strongest Sorcerer, the honored one, Gojo Satoru. I am a 3rd Grader at Jujutsu High.

...And I'm a semi-grade 3 sorcerer who just failed their full Grade 3 promotion.

That's right. The brother of Gojo Satoru was a fucking failure who was going to end up as a goddamned assistant manager.

No Innate Cursed Technique, Mediocre Cursed Energy, Mediocre Talent.

The clan servants gossip about how both of my parents must have cheated on each other to conceive me. How Satoru must have sucked out all the good genes in the pool before they tried for me. They did not even care if I overheard them before Satoru took over.

If my fucking brother were not the head of the Clan, I'd be sent to train for whatever the grunt division was called. I purposefully avoided learning the name in order not to jinx myself.

Wiping my hands with the towel, I sighed once again and put my head on the counter.

The worst part of it was that I couldn't even blame my brother. He was a great brother, supportive too. He always has my back. Which just hurts it far more.

He was the once-in-history kind of talent, the legend of our Clan born with both Limitless and Six Eyes. And I was whatever was left over afterward.

At my age, he was already the strongest sorcerer. And at my age, I was the weakest person in my age group. I had my brother helping me along the entire way. Yet... yet...

Fuck.

I couldn't even beat the regular clan members. It wasn't even just the lack of Innate Technique; Kusakabe didn't have one, and he was a grade one sorcerer. No, I just fucking sucked.

In my childhood, I looked up to my brother as someone to strive to be. A goal, I shouted with excited eyes, "I wanna bwe as cwool as big bwother one day!" and Satoru went "Yup yup, I'll have to work twice as hard to stay the strongest when you grow up."

And now? He had to work less hard since I brought down the statistical average for sorcerer strength.

Which I guess made me a good brother?

Now, I wasn't a complete waste, granted. I could take down Grade 3 Cursed Spirits. They still threatened the populace, and they needed people to take care of those, too.

You know, cuz everyone worth a damn are out fighting important things. They have to have someone staying behind and mopping up the mobs too.

But I wasn't just any sorcerer. I was the brother of Satoru Gojo, the poor fuck who has been training his whole motherfucking life just to end up as weaker than every soul that enrolls in this fucking school. Even when they first enroll.

Yes, I am aware I have a severe Inferiority complex, you can't _not have one when you grow up alongside Gojo Fucking Satoru. The freaks that I studied with did not make it any easier.

Tying my hair in it's low ponytail and grabbing one of my glasses from the cabinet, since while I did not inherit the Six Eyes, I did inherit the Shit Eyes of Photosensitivity that make my eyes ache and gives me headaches if it's too bright outside, I put it on and gave myself a once over.

I opened the door out of the bathroom and found some dangoes waiting on top of my desk with the picture of a miniature Satoru drawing giving me a thumbs up beside it.

Picking up one of the skewers, I started chewing on it while dressing up in my uniform and walking outside.

...Maybe I should just retire?

It wasn't too late to give up the path of the sorcerer, and just like, I don't know, become a lawyer for the Clan to help my brother. Yeah, just give up all my hopes and dreams.

Or become a NEET. I wouldn't doubt that Satoru would fuel my addictions out of pity for me.

It's hilarious, really. I have the unconditional backing of the Gojo clan behind me; I could become whatever I want, yet I can't become the one thing I want.

"Oiii~ Akira-kun~ you want to eat breakfast with us?"

"I'm good."

I didn't even bother turning around at the voice of Panda calling out from behind me. But before I could walk away, a hand clamped onto my shoulder.

"Oi, wait up. You gonna keep sulking forever? I didn't get promoted to Grade 3 either. Yet you don't see me sulking. Get over it already."

Stiffling a frustrated groan, I turned to see Maki glaring at me with a mix of annoyance and concern.

Concern. Of course. Everyone looks at me like that. I am an object of pity.

"But unlike you, I cannot blame it on discrimination, can I? I'd love to be held back because I was discriminated against while meeting the line, and not the other way around."

Panda winced at my sharp retort and put a hand on Maki's shoulders.

"Yikes, Maki-chan, this seems a bit above our paygrade to handle."

"Salmon."

She rubbed her forehead in frustration before stomping the ground and harrumphing.

"...You idiot. Fine, starve for all I care."

She and the other two walked away while I started walking towards the training grounds. Not like I had anything else to do. I don't think I can study with this mindset.

But just as I was about to take my anger out on a dummy, Ijichi, the assistant manager, who was stronger than me by the way, strutted towards me.

"Ah! Gojo-kun, thank god you're here. Principal Yaga has an assignment for you."

I raised an eyebrow.

"For me? What? Did a cat get stuck in a tree?"

Yes, I knew I probably shouldn't take it out on him, but you do approach a man the day after he failed to promote to the Average rank.

"Well, uhh, haha, good joke!" He gave me a shaky thumbs up. "But no. Apparently there are some cursed spirits lingering around an abandoned construction zone and he wanted you to clear it out. Seems like he wants you to pad out your portfolio a bit more eh?"

I stared at him.

"Eh?"

Stare~

"W-Well, if you need a ride, just say so!"

I rubbed the bridge of my nose.

"Just... just prepare the car, I'll be there in 30."

Without waiting for a response, I headed to the Cursed Tool storage, where everyone stored their cursed tools. Due to being an absolute worthless loser, I mainly rely on the cursed tools of the Gojo Family quite a lot.

In my personal storage, and by that, I mean me and my brothers' shared storage room, I looked over the trove of Cursed Tools ranging from Grade 3 to even Special Grade, like the Bloodletter Cleaver.

Of course, I was not shameless to mooch off his special grade cursed tools when there were people who could actually get use out of them. No, I settled on grabbing my ol' reliable.

A well-balanced and sharp Katana, a Semi-Grade 3 Cursed Tool that I had made with my very own hands. Just like its owner, it was the best it could be and still not great.

I had gotten it into my head that, perhaps if I did not have talent for combat, maybe I had one for creating cursed tools. So I studied for over a year on how to make them and... no.

That was not great for my self-esteem.

On the upside, I was well taught in most subjects of Jujutsu. Not skilled, but if I decided to become a Scholar, it would be a nice thing. While it did not mean much, my grades were better than any other student here.

Clipping the sword scabbard to my modified uniform's belt, I headed out and out into the gates of Jujutsu High to see Ijichi's car waiting for me. I wordlessly got on the passenger seat, making him flinch slightly.

"Alright, l-let's get going."

"Yeah."

He started up the engine and starting driving us to the destination of whatever cursed spirits I needed to clean up. Probably a grade 3 that was eating kids.

"Being an assistant manager isn't too bad."

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"Ijicihi-san, I know you think you are helping, and I really appreciate that. But please shut the fuck up."

"R-Right, noted."

The car ride passed by in a suffocating silence as I used my phone to read some new novel chapters that came out to pass the time. Eventually, he came to a stop somewhat near a public park.

"Alright, it should be near here. Good luck, Akira-kun. Would you like me to set up the veil?"

I stepped out of the car and gave him a thumbs-up.

"I can do it myself. You go and please grab us some burger menus from WcRonalds."

"Right, I'll expect the good news, Akira-kun. I believe in you."

He drove away with that, and I adjusted my glasses. Ijichi was a good guy.

Putting a hand in front of me and closing my eyes, I focused my Cursed Energy and chanted.

"Emerge from the darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure."

I channeled my Cursed Energy into the shape of a thin Veil barrier and draped it over the nearby building and park. It would conceal this location from anyone mundane, make them avoid it, and compel anyone already inside to leave.

While keeping my cursed energy at the ready, I placed a hand on the hilt of my Katana and walked forward, keeping my senses feeling for anything that might jump out while putting my glasses in my pocket.

"Kiiiihahaha!"

Three cursed spirits the size of dogs jumped out from behind the corner, heading directly towards me. On instinct, I assumed the New Shadow Style stance and channeled my Cursed Energy.

'Simple Domain!'

I turned my Cursed Energy and spread it into a territory around me, and formed a simple barrier 2 meters around my feet. The most essential skill of the New Shadow Style that Kusakabe Sensei taught me. The 'Domain for the Weak.'

The Cursed Spirits entered the range without a care in the world, and the moment I felt them enter, I could perceive them far better, on instinct I slashed out. while coating the inside of my scabbard with cursed energy

'Battou!'

Schwing!

Poof!

With the first swing, I cut down two of the spirits and chained another slash that cut down the third. As their bodies turned to smoke, I sheathed my sword and took a step, dispelling the Simple Barrier.

Yeah, though I liked to rip on myself a lot. That didn't mean I was incompetent. I was no Maki, but I was pretty decent at fighting low-grade cursed spirits. Like a senior janitor. Though my effectiveness took a nosedive the moment my enemy reached Grade 2. I learned it during... that day when I swung at a Second Grade Cursed spirit and my sword just... bounced off.

And then Okkotsu destroyed a horde of them without even trying after a single week of being a sorcerer.

...Anyways. I continued patrolling the abandoned building. I doubted those guys were all that was here. But at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if they were. If it were an actual serious situation, they would have sent literally anyone else.

Most missions I get sent on were of similar sort. The benefit of having someone weak on the roster is that you don't feel guilty about wasting them on low-risk missions.

"Graah!"

"Another one?"

I jumped back slightly and held my sword poised as another cursed spirit charged out. It was one that was the size of a person, but with fur all over its body and massive, yellowed teeth. It came at me with it's first drawn back before punching at me.

"Hup!"

Spluurrrrt!

Ducking under the swing, I imbued more cursed energy into my blade and slashed at the arm, but I failed to bisect it in one swing. I managed to get most of the way there, making it cry out in pain before I drew back and slashed its stomach this time, before slashing its kneecap too.

Weirdly enough, Cursed Spirit physiology had some sort of twisted respect for biology, even if adapted to their weird proportions. So they still cared about stuff like getting their limbs broken or their ligaments cut, wherever their ligaments were anyway.

Stab!

"That's four. Three grade 4 and a semi grade 3?"

I pierced the neck with my sword and counted the kills I currently had. I had a report I had to write up. Withdrawing my sword, I let the body collapse and dissolve as I kept making my way up. Keeping my eyes peeled for anything. It was unusual to encounter so many so early on.

"Kiakakaa!"

"More!?"

This time, I was mildly more prepared, so I set up my simple domain again and used Battou to clear another wave of 4th-grade cursed spirits. 7, this did not seem normal. Did I end up in a hotspot?

I should probably run away and call someone else to take care of it.

Because you are a useless trash that cannot take care of anything by himself, right?

My grip on my sword's hilt tightened.

That's why you cannot even become a grade 3 sorcerer.

You know what? Fuck it. It was only less than grade 3 so far. I could take them on. I wasn't some helpless babe. If I couldn't even do this much, I didn't deserve to be a sorcerer.

With renewed determination, I started walking up the stairs, my grip on my sword tighter and felt my Cursed Energy burn brighter.

'Battou!'

Scwing!

On instinct, I activated Simple Domain for the third time against two more semi-third grades. Battou had become almost an instinct for me at this point, like a crutch. I cut off their heads with a precise slash and pondered.

So many cursed spirits... indicate either someone gathering them intentionally, or an unsealed cursed object.

...Shit, it's not one of Ryomen Sukuna's fingers that they are using that Yuji kid for, right? I heard they got stronger recently and have started wearing away their seals.

But there are no Finger Bearers, which means, even if there was a finger, no spirit has eaten it. More than likely, the concentration of cursed energy leaking from it has been attracting them and making them stay around, but not overt enough to make them find the finger through the seals.

Let's see them deny me my promotion after I show that I can find one of the fingers by myself.

What am I talking about? It probably isn't even that. Even if I do retrieve it, does that make me any stronger? Just because I managed to succeed at this by a miracle of luck, does that make me any greater?

Urgh! Stop it with that! I am a sorcerer; this is the job I signed up for. I gotta do this, my thoughts on the matter can come when it won't interfere with my combat performance.

Resheathing my sword, I tried to sense where the miasma of Cursed Energy was the highest. One floor above. Deciding the best course of action was to go fast, instead of taking the stairs I beelined for the window.

Crash!

I broke through the window before lunging forward with my sword, stabbing it into the outside wall and using it as a vault to go through the window of the upper floor. Landing on the upper floor.

The plan was simple; take the cursed object, reinforce the seals, and let the curses scatter across the Veil instead of staying so tightly knit together so I could hunt them without getting swarmed.

Would my cursed energy reserves last long enough for that? Who knows.

I didn't let myself stay at one location for more than a second before taking off. Aiming for the room with the cursed object. And the moment I entered the room, I spotted it.

On top of a small, worn, rotten wooden cabinet leaning against a wall was a small object wrapped in bandages. Almost unassuming if not for my immediate recognition of it. A finger of Ryomen Sukuna.

But... why is it just sitting there? Did someone put it there? Why the hell would someone put it there? Is it... is it one of those Unregistered Special Grades Satoru was talking about?

"F-ffffressh meat."

"Shit!"

Crash!

From the ceiling above this one jumped down a cursed spirit that looked like a mess of bones and sinew, but looked to be several heads taller than me. He could speak actual words and looked far more intimidating. Shit, was this a Grade 3 or Semi Grade 2?

'New Shadow Style - Full Moon Drawing!'

I immediately went to a crouch and activated Simple Domain while it charged at me, using the Defensive Technique Kusakabe taught me that focused on parrying the enemy. As expected, the Cursed Spirit moved with a wild haymaker aimed towards my head.

Clang!

'Tough...'

The feedback from my blade repelling the fist was like trying to smack a brick wall with your blade. This thing was definitely a Semi Grade 2, so roughly even with me, considering a Semi Grade 3 sorcerer had to be as strong as a Semi Grade 2.

Without moving my feet, I went to slash at its wrist and drew some blood, but I wasn't sure about my victory. I had already spammed Simple Domain quite a lot. But considering this one does not seem to have a complex technique, I could probably take it on.

"Graaahhh!!"

"Haaa!"

I crouched lower, and, leveraging the boost from my Simple Domain, I dashed forward, dispelling the Simple Domain but landing a large gash on the leg of the cursed spirit. But I had to immediately switch my stance to block a hi-

Clang!

"Guh!"

The angle of my deflection was not perfect; I managed to avoid its fist hitting me directly, but the awkward angle strained my shoulder. Swordsmanship was never my strongest suit. If any was strong at all.

Reinforcing the blade to the utmost with my cursed energy, I slashed its shoulder. Creating a large gash, but not enough to make the Cursed Spirit back off completely. Its hand shot out, grabbing my sword by the blade, making me let go of it decisively.

"Knife... annoying!"

Snap!

"Well, I'll be dammed."

The Cursed Spirit grabbed the sword and snapped it in half. Yes, it was not a great Cursed Tool without being reinforced with my cursed energy, but that was one hell of a demoralizing act.

I wasn't Kusakabe, who could create another edge out of cursed energy; that sword was nothing but a dagger without a tip now.

Sigh...

With a deep and weary sigh I rolled up my sleeves and reinforced them with cursed energy, not a lot left in the tank. But enough to put up a fight.

"I should've known my luck would have run out sooner than later. But I ain't going down without a fight, you big lug."

Truth be told, I knew this was going to happen eventually or that it may even happen today. I was going to eventually die at the hands of a slightly strong cursed spirit during a mission.

Thud!

I weaved under the fist of the cursed spirit and threw a reinforced hook at its jaw, making it stagger.

Perhaps that's why I didn't feel panicked at the sight of potential death. Maybe deciding to continue up the stairs was a kind of death march.

I reinforced my arm to the max and blocked a heavy punch from the cursed spirit and kicked its leg that I had already damaged. Making it go down.

Thud!

"Kahk!"

Even while down, the spirit still lashed out with a fist that landed on my cheek, making me spit blood before I hit it with a punch. But not letting it go down with just that, I grit my teeth, focusing more of my cursed energy into my fist and punching the downed cursed spirit hard.

Crack!

Its face broke apart, and its form dissolved into smoke while I wiped my lips from the blood. Heaving deep breaths, I brushed my hair.

"Not... bad, eh?"

I walked away and retrieved my broken sword from the ground. I inspected the break. I could probably repair it given some time.

"Kiek!!!" "Kikikikiii!!" "Play with us!" "Graaahhh...!"

I closed my eyes tightly as I heard the sound of multiple cursed spirits enter the room. I stuffed one broken section of the blade in my pocket and held the other broken half in one hand. 4 more spirits, and two of them look no weaker than the one I just took to the pound.

"Hahaha... oh man, I doubt you guys will leave a corpse for a dignified funeral, right?"

My words did not even seem to register, so instead I opened another Simple Domain, my breaths were shallow. My Cursed Energy reserves were not at their peak. I was most likely dead now.

Whelp. Sorry Satoru.

Maybe if you had just gotten a more talented brother.

I grit my teeth and glared at the cursed spirits.

"Come at me, you fuckers. It won't be easy."

The world may love to deny me, but I wasn't going to let it take me out as it pleased.

But before I could swing...

"Huh?"

All of a sudden, all the Cursed Spirits vanished from my sight. In a manner similar to how Satoru likes to teleport.

"Well, that was no way to treat a guest."

My head snapped toward the source of the sound, only to see another Cursed Spirit in the room, one that was sitting on a broken piece of concrete with an amused expression. Fully legible and capable of communication.

An Unregistered Special Grade.

And I couldn't even sense its Cursed Energy, nor anticipate its arrival.

It wore oversized tattered robes draped over an elongated skinny figure. Four arms and a pair of legs completely wrapped in dirty bandages poked out of the robes. It also had a few prayer beads on its body and poking out of the hood were two horns like antlers, one of which was broken off and wrapped in leather straps.

All it did was to observe while resting wherever its chin was on its knuckles.

This thing was clearly bad news.

"What happened to those guys?"

"I sent them on a journey. Roughly ten thousand kilometers north."

...Isn't that out of orbit?

With a resigned shrug, I dispelled my Simple Domain. I clearly was not going be putting up a fight against this thing. And I couldn't exactly maintain it for long while holding a conversation.

"Right, and since you care about hospitality so much. Mind giving me a name?"

"You may call me Mayou. I believe your kind call me a... 'Special Grade' Cursed Spirit."

Ah.

Fuck.

Guess that confirms it. I'm dead

At least dying to a Special Grade is far more dignified than dying to a swarm of Grade 2's.

"So... why haven't you annihilated me yet?"

They put their chin on their hand and their large maw full of sharp teeth curved into a smile.

"Because I find you interesting. You are so... lost."

I looked around, and then back at the cursed spirit.

"Yeah, well, I'm sure I took more than a few wrong turns in life to end up face to face with a special grade cursed spirit."

They shook their head and looked at me with their glowing eyes. Truly looked at me. Almost through me, even.

"That's not what I'm talking about. You are lost, you have been lost. You lost in birth, you lost important people, and most importantly, you lost what you wanted to be. And now you wander, aimlessly. A Vagrant."

My eye twitched. I already knew that, but I didn't need a cursed spirit to point it out to me before killing me. I'd at least like my death to be a little dignified.

"Yeah? How can you tell? Do I look that pathetic at a first glance? Or are you a Rogue Sorcerer Therapist disguised as a Cursed Spirit?"

It chuckled lightly.

"Nothing of that sort, I am a Cursed Spirit, born of negative emotions. I am the woes of those who dread the journey. The fear of getting lost. The fear of looking out into the path and seeing no end in sight. The agony of a pilgrim whose legs are failing him halfway through. The dread of one lost in a forest in the dark. And you are the most interesting specimen I've ever seen."

It got up from its seat, and I gripped my broken sword tighter. I could see now that it stood two heads taller than me. It moved forward with steps, but as if it were gliding regardless.

"Someone with so much potential impossible to realize. Crippled by your very own life. Someone who could have been, but never will. Someone who could be everyone but the person he wants to be."

My grip on my sword tightened until it hurt.

"What the fuck do you know? I am sick and tired of everyone telling me what I should have been born as. I am not."

It tilted its head.

"I am afraid you do not understand me. I'm merely talking about the potential you never touched. An avenue you never walked down upon. A journey you never stepped foot on. A cursed technique you never managed to rouse."

I glared even harder.

"What the hell kind of nonsense are you spouting?"

"You have the potential inside you, but you never managed to awaken it. Figures, it's a small flame. And you were not that gifted in the first place. I am nowhere near omniscient; I can only tell things about people. And that's what stood out to me when you walked into my home."

I blinked.

What potential?

I get that this is a Cursed Spirit of being lost. And haha, so funny that something like that takes interest in me. But I didn't have potential. You can't blame it on me not working hard enough, I did, I have the best damn grades in terms of the academy in order to discover a hidden potential, but none was there.

And now this thing was telling me I DID have a cursed technique? Shit doesn't work like that.

"And why are you telling me this? I'm no honored one, and you are a cursed spirit."

It now stood close enough that I could close the distance by leaning forward.

"A whim."

...What?

"You were the one who stepped into my home after I picked up that trinket. My curiosity was piqued by how lost you were. The bundle of unrealized potential you were. I am a cursed spirit; nothing is beyond a whim."

Splurrt!

Before I could even respond, they ripped off one of their arms and grabbed my throat with another arm, holding me up. Their arm felt impossibly solid. I could not budge it no matter how hard I tried, like trying to move a steel pillar.

"I am curious whether you will survive and thrive on your journey, or succumb to your demise. Whatever happens, it does not matter to me beyond curiosity."

"Khak!"

It shoved its arm into my mouth, despite the fact that Cursed Spirits were, in the end, spirits. That arm should disappear, but when it entered my mouth, I reflexively did... something, the arm shriveled up and turned into a marble in my mouth that the cursed spirit pushed down with its other arm. Forcing me to swallow what tasted like a cigarette covered in stomach acid and trash.

"That's unexpected, but that works too... now then. I bid you... adieu."

Mayou formed a hand sign with his other two arms and chanted.

"World beyond the veil, branch of the tree. Scourge of Yggdrasil. Clock of the Keeper. Dream of the Idiot. Maximum Technique: Final Departure."

Nothing grand happened, but I suddenly felt something. My body was getting lighter and lighter, a sensation of coldness. I was... disappearing.

No. He would not need something like that to kill me.

Departure.

Was this fucker sending me somewhere else? If he could send those curses out of the atmosphere without any exertion, why did he need a Maximum Technique?

Where the hell is he sending me?

Well... shit.

With that, I vanished.

𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜༺☸︎༻𓎤𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜𓋜

And then, suddenly, I reappeared. Not anywhere I knew, but a random forest in the middle of nowhere with the sun hanging over me. But not only that, a translucent blue and black appeared before my eyes.

[Synthesizing Cursed Technique... ]

[Cursed Technique: Introspection - Synthesized!]

That's... new.

A/N: Meet Akira Gojo, certified Simple Domain merchant, and the brother of Satoru Gojo, the sibling born without any of the talent or any of the cool things that make Gojo, Gojo. He is certainly a personality, he has lived quite a rough life and unfortunately he was basically destined to end up with an inferiority complex with how he was born and where he was going. What did you guys think about his personality?

I felt like writing a multiverse but without the constraints of the Chaos Gacha and using my favorite power system, Cursed Energy. Also, I don't expect anyone to guess where he is going to end up, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if someone actually does.
