I have no words to describe how much this fic means to me. It is healing as much as it is hurting, and I can only turn that hurt into salvation with the hopes that, in a canon unseen, unheard, and unwritten, this is their truth. This fic is poetic, beautiful, and tender in a way that had my own breath locked in my throat, ready to stay there until the last sentence stopped echoing in my mind.
(The pain of unopened doors is too familiar; I can almost see the ghost of them in front of me. I’m going to choose to learn nothing from this and blink them away.)
