Every pulse of agony ripping through her body belonged to Wesley. Her soulmate.
“Oh my God,” she choked out as her hands grabbed for him instinctively.
One landed against his shoulder while the other tried covering the blood spreading beneath his trembling hand. Warmth coated her fingers instantly, slick and horrifyingly real. Wesley looked at her like he was trying to focus through a fog. Relief softened his expression the moment he recognized her, even through the pain hollowing out his face.
“Angela,” he breathed weakly.
“You’re okay,” she said frantically, even while tears immediately blurred her vision. “You’re okay, I’m here now. You’re okay.”
