coursing through these cold veins

Summary:

Pressing the pad of his thumb against the fine, ivory point of his left canine, Percival de Rolo III considers the information before him.

First, his sister has arranged a prospective political marriage for him with a member of the royal family of Syngorn.

Second, the woman his sister has asked him if he'd please marry is arriving in a few hours with her chaperone.

And third, he is decidedly - and unfortunately - thirsty.

Chapter Text

The last thing he remembers is the pain. He’s well aware that the wound is in his shoulder, specifically his trapezius, but whatever the biological component of this curse is is searing its way through his circulatory system, vicious flaming frostbite. He’s aching and torn asunder, the agony both acute and dull, layers upon layers of rigid and unforgiving transformation.

The nervous system of the mouth is incredibly technically complex, insomuch as that you can have a toothache centered in an upper left molar and feel the throb in the bottom right side of your jaw. The memory of a loose tooth torn from his mouth by thread, a slammed door, and a big brother comes to mind as his canines evolve like an earthquake, his new teeth piercing through his bottom lip as he bites it in an attempt to stay quiet, to not frighten Cassandra in the next cell over any more than she already must be.

The last thing he remembers is the pain. And the bright eyes keeping watch from the other side of the iron bars.

Notes:

My darling Kat read over so much filth of these two for me that I decided to put a mess of her favorite things in one fic so at least if I am making her read about a man that's not Robbie Daymond, she can be comforted by the fact that at least he's an absolute fool for the woman he's in forced proximity with now. :)

I have about 15k of this written and it simply will not stop haunting my brain so. here we find ourselves, friends. The rating will eventually get upgraded to explicit, but for now we're at mature for violence's sake. Not sure about post schedule, but if these two keep up their current season four of Legend behavior, I'll probably be writing frantically. Chapter count subject to change but I suspect it'll be twelve-ish.

The whole gang will be around eventually, just haven't tagged them yet because they're not here yet.
