Chapter Text
The wind, growling all around him
The full moon, cutting the waves in silver blades
And a shadow. A human shadow on the beach.
Some shinny eyes watching over him.
Miguel.
He runs. Runs but don’t reach him
Never.
Miguel is only standing, staring at him, nearly begging. Waiting for him to leave.
The waves shake his shadow, growing, more and more.
More and more.
Until it hid the moon. And the stars. And the whole sky.
That’s not his brother. It never was. It’s a wave. A huge dark wave, slowly starting to fall.
Milo look behind him. His little wooden house would not resist to that dark flow of water.
His father is sleeping, unaware of the danger.
The village doesn’t see it neither.
Only Milo see the wave. Falling on everything. Falling on Tipora. Falling on him.
But that’s not water.
The ink flow on him, as the creature’s face flowed on him in the church. A wave of burning ink, instantly disolving his skin, and his meat.
The liquid enters his mouth as he try to screem. It enters his ears. His nose. His eyes. His bones.
He suffocate, unable to breathe. Unable to even bring his hands to his neck.
What neck? What hands?
He isn’t event drowning anymore. He is one with the ink.
He wakes up.
This was just a Nightmare. One more.
He is not drowning. But Tipora is already destroyed. His father is already dead. His brother is locked away from him. And he can’t even cry.
He is alone, in his empty room. With the city noises around him. So far from the island he liked.
If only he could go back there in other ways than nightmares…
