Chapter Text
After Hours pt.1
The office was quiet, the rest of the floor long since emptied, the city lights glittering far below through the tall glass windows. Only the soft golden glow of the desk lamp remained, casting long shadows across polished mahogany and leather. Jester leaned back on his chair, long legs elegantly crossed, the deep violet of his hair catching the light as it spilled over one shoulder and down to the curve of his waist. His amethyst eyes gleamed with that effortless magnetism that could silence an entire boardroom without a word.
Bilheteiro stood beside the desk, pouring the last of the fragrant tea into their cups. His slick black hair was still perfectly in place even after the long day, the striking contrast of his heterochromatic eyes—one a cool blue, the other a pale, almost luminous white—fixed on his employer with quiet devotion.
“You really should eat something more substantial than just tea, sir,” Bil murmured, his voice low and cultured as he set down a small plate of delicate pastries and fruit they had ordered earlier. The warm lamplight caught the faint steam rising from their cups.
Jester’s lips curved into a slow, knowing smile. “Always so attentive, Bil. One might think you enjoy staying late with me.” He said lightly, brushing aside the concern hidden beneath his secretary’s words.
“I do.” The answer came without hesitation. Bil’s fingers brushed Jester’s as he handed him the cup, lingering just a second too long. The light touch sent a subtle warmth through the quiet office.
Jester’s smile deepened as he reached for a tart, taking a slow bite without breaking eye contact. “You’re always looking after me, Bil. Even at the dead of night, you’re still here making sure I’m taken care of ” he murmured. “It does make one wonder if your dedication extends beyond mere… professional obligation.”
Jester finished the tart and licked a trace of glaze from his thumb, the gesture slow and intentional. He subtly watched Bil’s reaction closely. Bil’s eyes narrowed his vivid sapphire and pale white eyes growing noticeably deeper in the golden light.
Bil remained standing beside the desk for a moment, perfectly composed in his tailored charcoal suit and sleek black bow tie, though his fingers tightened slightly around his own teacup. The air between them felt heavier now, charged with months of unspoken tension finally beginning to surface.
Eventually Bil broke the silence. “The acquisition meeting ran longer than expected today. You handled the final objections masterfully, but I noticed you barely took a break between sessions.” He nudged the plate of pastries a little closer. “Try the raspberry ones. They’re from that patisserie you liked last month.”
Jester hummed softly, idly tilting the cup as he watched the tea ripple beneath the surface, rising just close enough to the rim to threaten a spill then selecting another piece. “You remember the small details far too well.” He ate slowly, savoring it, while his gaze stayed on Bil. “Tell me honestly…how exhausted are you? You’ve been here as long as I have.”
Bil gave a small, measured smile. “I’m fine, sir. Though I admit the day felt… longer than usual. The way the legal team kept circling the same points was tedious. You cut through it all so cleanly. It’s impressive, even after all this time watching you work.”
Jester’s lips curved with quiet amusement as he leaned back, long legs shifting under the desk. “Flattery from you is rare, Bil. I’ll take it.” He took another slow bite of the pastry, licking a bit of glaze from his finger without thinking. “The legal team has been testing my patience lately. Still, the numbers are solid. If we secure the eastern distribution rights, this could be one of our strongest quarters yet.”
Bil nodded, his eyes following the motion of Jester’s hand. “I agree. I reviewed the latest projections this afternoon. The growth potential is significant, especially if we can leverage our connections in the southern markets.” He paused, then added in a softer tone, “You always see the larger picture. It makes the endless meetings almost bearable.”
They continued like that for a while, voices low and unhurried in the quiet office. They touched on the upcoming strategies, which board members needed extra attention, and how the market volatility might play in their favor. The conversation felt natural, and familiar. The kind of easy rhythm they had developed after many late nights together.
Eventually the topic drifted, as it often did when the work talk slowed.
“That reminds me,” Jester said, setting his teacup down. “Did you ever try the ’98 Bordeaux I mentioned? The one from that small vineyard in the hills.”
Bil’s expression warmed. “I did. Last weekend, actually. It was exactly as you described—rich, with those deep cherry notes and a finish that lingers. It paired beautifully with the aged cheese you recommended. I found myself thinking you would have appreciated the balance.”
Jester’s amethyst eyes softened with genuine pleasure. “I knew you’d enjoy it. There’s something about a well-aged wine… it rewards patience.” His gaze lingered on Bil a moment longer than necessary. “Much like a good conversation at this hour.”
Bil’s fingers brushed the edge of Jester’s sleeve as he reached for a pastry of his own. The touch was light, almost accidental, but neither pulled away. “I’ve come to look forward to these evenings more than I probably should,” he admitted quietly. “The work is important, of course… but the company makes the long hours feel worthwhile. We seem to share similar tastes in many things; wine, literature, even the way we prefer silence after a chaotic day.”
Jester gave a soft laugh, low and warm. “We do, don’t we? It’s rare to find someone who understands the value of a quiet, well-curated evening.” He tilted his head slightly, violet hair cascading over his shoulder. “Tell me, what else have you been reading lately? Anything that caught your attention the way that last novel did?”
They spoke for several more minutes about books, favorite passages, and a recent exhibition at the city gallery they had both wanted to see but missed due to work. The professional talk blended seamlessly with these personal threads, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere. The city lights twinkled far below the windows, but inside the office, the world had narrowed to just the two of them, the golden lamplight, and the slow-building tension humming beneath every word and glance.
After a comfortable lull, Jester set his teacup down with deliberate grace. He rose slowly from his chair, the long lines of his body unfolding elegantly as he stepped around the large mahogany desk, closing the space between them.
Bil remained seated for a moment, watching him approach with quiet intensity. His sapphire eye caught the reflection of the city lights, sharp and unwavering as it followed Jester’s every movement.
Jester stopped directly in front of Bil, towering slightly at 6’3 with his long purple hair cascading down. He reached out, fingertips grazing Bil’s jaw with slow, deliberate care before tracing downward to the sleek black bow tie at his throat.
“You always look so composed,” Jester whispered, voice silky. He gave the bow tie a gentle, playful tug, drawing Bil up from his chair until they stood face to face, only inches apart.
Bil rose smoothly, meeting Jester’s gaze. Their bodies were now close enough that the warmth between them was palpable. “Composure becomes rather difficult when you look at me like that, sir,” Bil murmured, voice low and velvet. His hand lifted slowly to rest lightly on Jester’s slim waist, not pulling, simply resting there with restrained reverence.
Jester didn’t step back. Instead, he kept his fingers lightly hooked around the bow tie, idly playing with it, holding Bil in an intimate proximity. “Then perhaps you should stop being so attentive,” he teased, though his piercing gaze—held fast, betrayed his own growing interest. “It would make these late nights far less… distracting.”
Bil’s eyes darkened. “I’m not sure I’m capable of that anymore.” His thumb brushed in a slow, small circle against Jester’s waist through the fine fabric of his shirt. “You make it impossible to maintain distance. Especially when we’re alone like this.”
They stood like that for a long moment—breathing the same air, the golden lamplight casting soft shadows across Jester’s pale skin and short horns. Jester’s long legs nearly brushed against Bil’s. The conversation continued in a hushed, intimate ambience.
Jester’s thumb idly stroked the silk of the bow tie. “And what thoughts have been occupying you lately, Bil?”
Bil’s free hand came up to gently tuck a stray strand of Jester’s violet hair behind his ear, the touch lingering against his pale cheek. “Thoughts about how well our evenings align… the books we discuss, the wines we share, the way the office feels different when it’s only us. I find myself staying later not merely out of duty, but because these quiet moments with you have become the part of the day I anticipate most.”
Jester’s breath deepened slightly at the gentle touch, but he smiled, “You’re dangerously good at this, Bil. You make it very difficult to tell where your courtesy ends and your intentions begin.”
“I only speak the truth,” Bil replied softly, his hand still resting at Jester’s waist. “Though I will admit… being this close to you tests every ounce of my restraint.”
They remained standing close together, the large desk now behind Jester. Jester tilted his head slightly, violet hair sliding over one shoulder. “You’ve been unusually quiet about the merger projections tonight,” he murmured. “Usually you have more thoughts on the long-term risks.”
Bil’s eyes stayed fixed on Jester’s. “My mind has been… elsewhere, sir.” His thumb made one slow, careful stroke against Jester’s waist. “Though I should say the projections look strong. Especially with the way you steered the conversation today. You always manage to see the possibilities others miss.”
Jester hummed, clearly pleased. His free hand rested lightly on Bil’s chest, feeling the steady rhythm beneath the crisp shirt. “And yet here we are, long after everyone else has gone home. Again.” He gave the bow tie anowther gentle tug. “You never seem to mind these extra hours.”
“I don’t,” Bil said softly, voice low and cultured. “Not when they’re spent with you. These quiet moments after the chaos of the day… they’ve become important to me.” He paused, searching Jester’s amethyst eyes. “More important than they probably should be for a mere secretary.”
The air felt thicker now. Jester’s long legs brushed lightly against Bil’s as he shifted closer. Neither man pulled away. Bil’s hand remained gentle on Jester’s waist. After a long moment of charged silence, he spoke again, voice slightly rougher but still controlled. Jester hummed softly in approval. “I like that about you, Bil. You never rush. Even now, I can feel how much you're holding back.”
“It’s not easy,” Bil admitted, voice dropping to a warm murmur. “Not when you’re standing this close, looking at me with those eyes. Not when I’ve spent months memorizing the way your hair falls, the line of your throat, the elegance in how you move.” His other hand lifted slowly, brushing a gentle fingertip along the edge of one of Jester’s short horns before trailing down to his pale cheek. The touch was reverent, almost worshipful. Jester’s breath caught subtly at the contact, amethyst eyes half-lidded. Instead of pulling away, he simply tilted his head, studying Bil with quiet amusement. “You speak as though you’ve been studying me.”
“I have,” Bil replied honestly, a faint, refined smile touching his lips. “How could I not? You command every room you enter without effort. Yet here, after hours, when it’s just us… you let me see this side of you. Relaxed. Teasing. Tempting.”
“Jester…” Bil murmured, “if you’ll allow me… I would very much like to kiss you.”
Jester’s lips curved into a slow, knowing smile. His fingers brushing over the bow tie before carefully loosening it. His amethyst eyes sparkled with quiet challenge and invitation. Bil’s gaze held steady, unwavering from the challenge in Jester's expression, darkened with desire, yet he held perfectly still, waiting. His hand stayed warm and firm at Jester’s waist. “May I, sir?” he asked softly, the words polite and full of restrained longing. He studied Jester’s face. His gaze drifted slowly down to Jester’s lips.
Jester, sensing the shift, took a small step back until he was leaning against the edge of the large mahogany desk. He relaxed his posture, leaning back just enough that their faces aligned more comfortably—eye level despite his height advantage. The position caused his long purple hair to spill past his shoulders, his slim waist to arch slightly.
Bil stepped closer, fitting himself between Jester’s long legs. The air between them felt thick and warm. Slowly, Bil lifted his hand and brushed the pad of his thumb across Jester’s bottom lip, tracing it with feather-light reverence. Jester shivered at the touch, biting down gently on his own lip as he fought to keep his composure, before giving a small, subtle nod.
Only then did Bil lean in.
He pressed their lips together in a slow, sensual kiss. It was gentle and lingering—mouths moving softly in sync, unhurried and indulgent. Bil kissed him like he was something precious and delicate, warm and reverent. There was no rush. Just the quiet intimacy of shared breath and the faint golden glow of the desk lamp around them. Jester’s fingers tightened around the silk of the bow tie as he kissed him back, matching the slow pace. The quiet office was filled only with the soft sounds of their breathing and the subtle rustle of fabric.
The kiss stretched on, growing warmer, heavier. Jester’s patience began to fray. He licked slowly along the seam of Bil’s bottom lip, a clear, teasing request for more.
Bil did not yield. He kept the pace slow and controlled, continuing to kiss Jester with the same restraint, as if he wanted to draw this out for as long as possible—refusing to rush even as his hand tightened slightly at Jester’s waist. Frustrated by the restraint, Jester caught Bil’s bottom lip between his teeth and bit down with deliberate pressure, firm enough to tease and demand. Bil gasped sharply into Jester’s mouth, a low, breathy sound of surprise and pleasure. His eyes fluttered for a moment. The gentle grip on Jester’s waist became firmer as he finally parted his lips, surrendering to deepen the kiss.
Their tongues kept meeting in a slow, luxurious glide—deep and sensual, as heat found itself building between the two men. Bil’s hand slid slowly up Jester’s side, tracing the elegant taper of his waist beneath the fine shirt, while his other hand gently cradled Jester’s jaw. Jester’s hand slid up to rest against Bil’s chest, feeling the steady warmth and quickening heartbeat beneath the crisp shirt. His other hand moved to the back of Bil’s neck, fingers slipping into the slick black hair, gently messing it as he massaged the nape with slow, possessive strokes.
They stayed locked in the kiss for a long time, bodies pressed close against the desk, tension coiling tighter with every slow stroke of tongue and every shared breath. The air around them felt thick, heavy with unspoken need.
When they finally parted, Bil rested his forehead against Jester’s, eyes closed for a moment as he steadied himself.
“You are… exquisite,” he whispered, voice low and slightly rough with restraint.
