There’s a power that Shane feels from this height, from this control. There’s a power that he’s felt from back when they were teenagers, knowing that he’s capable of giving Ilya this pleasure. When he was younger he waited for it to fade, to be told that he was no longer needed. It never happened. The need increased, became something tangible, something that time and distance and other people could never dismantle.
