Work Text:
Purple sat in the pilot seat, staring out into the vast space... Their hands were crusted with blood, they couldn't bring themselves to wash it off, they couldn't forget how bad it hurt. They had cried, screamed, punched the walls. Smashing anything they didn't care for.
They were so tired..
Footsteps echoed closer to the captain's quarters.
"Purrpppss!"
Red's voice stretched out; it didn't sound right... It didn't have the right pitch, the tone sounded nothing like them.
"Don't start this." Purple whispered, mostly to themself. They didn't want to turn the chair around. They knew what they'd see and it made the bile in their stomach rise.
"Did you get it all out of your system yet?" They felt them grab onto the chair, leaning over their shoulder.
Purple wanted to gag at the smell, they could feel their arms shaking. The slimy tendril slid over their hand, they smacked it back
"Don't fucking touch me"
their voice shook, it came out more pathetic than intended.
The hand slid off the chair and they heard the rest of the body crack against the wall as the tentacle tossed it away, like a toy it was tired of playing with.
"Sorry purps! you've just been so tense lately I thought you'd be happy to see your old pal!" Green chirped.
Purple let out a shaky breath that they didn't notice they were holding, they spun the chair around to look at Green. They were returning to a somewhat crew-mate form, without any of the extra alien appendages. purple glared at the other, wishing nothing more than wipe that smug smile off their face.
They had taken away everyone, every single one of them suffered a painful death to the hands of Green.
They had recently been daydreaming about hurting Green. Strangling them, Stabbing them, maybe even bashing their skull in with something hard. Something so heavy and so painful that they could feel the bone crack and break, stabbing into their mushy alien brain.
But they'd never get that satisfaction.
hey'd never get to see the light leave Greens eyes like they had with Red.
Greens thumb swiped over their cheek, wiping away the tears that they had just now noticed were rolling down their face. Purple wanted them dead, they wanted them to know the pain all the others had, they wanted to avenge them and give their deaths the justice they deserved. Yet all they could do is cry, cry as Green the sick and twisted monster comforted them like a false friend. Greens arms wrapped
around them, their hoodie was so warm, their body was so soft. Purple felt too weak, too pathetic and tired to fight them...
They hid their face in the hood, gripping their hoodie with their white knuckled, bloody hands.
"It's ok purps..."
They cooed in Reds warped and contorted voice. It felt like mockery but all they could think about was how desperately they wanted to talk to them again.
They had the morbid thought that maybe if they took reds vocal cords, they could get it closer to the real thing...
And maybe even identical.
