Chapter Text
Red led Chloe through the maze of hedges, the pocket watch gripped in her hand. She knew she had to hide it away, make sure no one else could get to it and undo the good they did.
“This is the perfect place to hide it.” A heart shaped hedge opened up, revealing different jewels inside. Chloe looked slightly confused but didn’t stop Red as she placed the watch on one of the shelves. “What is this?”
“The Wonderful Vault.” The hedge closed and began going back underground and looking as if it had never been there. “Nobody except the royal family knows where it is so it is as safe as can be in there.” The blue-haired girl nodded, trusting her newfound friend.
Once their business was finished they began walking towards the exit of the maze. They were almost there before Chloe grabbed Red’s arm gently, stopping her in place. “Hey Red, do you think…Well, are we friends now?” That brought a smile to the redhead's face, “Aw, Chlo. Of course we’re friends. Now come on, we gotta get out of here and get some sleep, we have school tomorrow.”
They both had a slight laugh as they walked out of the maze, not knowing what awaited them the next morning.
