Maddox Hatter has disappeared.
The Queen of Hearts might be cruel and cold hearted, but she is not oblivious, nor is she naive. She is not oblivious to her feelings towards her Royal Advisor, but nor is she naive enough to ignore the fact that if she acted on her feelings, she will put him in danger of assassination attempts. He is already in enough danger as the Royal Advisor, and Bridget is no betting woman.
She is also not stupid. She cannot be when she sits on the throne of Wonderland, which is filled to the brim with schemers who had been attempting to influence her by trying to be one of the advisors in her court. And with the Maddox Hatter’s disappearance, those said schemers are crawling out of their filthy holes, plotting their way to become the new Royal Advisor.
This position has always belong to Maddox and Maddox only. Time to make sure these pawns understand this.
