Lloyd Wears the Dress

Summary:

After the battle with the Hell Knight, Lloyd and Javier's bets were switched. Javier bet that if they lived, his master would wear a dress, and Lloyd's bet was that if they were defeated, he would serve Javier (funny, right?) When they won, Lloyd found himself in a boutique, embarrassed as Javier tried not to laugh.

Notes:

I had a bit of a slump writing this so this isn't my best work so far. Hope you enjoy!

Work Text:

Today was not normal for the pair as during the battle with the Hell Knight, Javier and Lloyd made a bet on the spot. The knights was if they lived, his master would wear a dress on the way back to the Frontera Country but if Lloyd said if they lost, Javier would have to continue working for him. To anyone's surprise, they lived and Lloyd dreaded the dress Javier would choose for him.

"…Please end me," The brown haired noble mumbled as Javier looked through the Dress Shop with slight smile on his face, trying to find one that fit's his master the best. The tailor, a young woman who turned 18 the other day, was measuring Lloyd with a grimace. Why didn't her mother do this, she was the owner of the shop but nope, her mom said she needs to learn if she wants to take over the shop.

"Spread your arms," The girl bluntly said, getting the measuring tape from the drawer next to her. The noble did what she said and raised his arms while she put the tape around his chest.

"You know, mostly women goes to our shop, not a man with a face of a devil," she mumbled, writing down the measurements as Lloyd cried inside a bit.

Wow, that was brutal.

"But since you are paying so much, I might as well do yours custom made," she smirked, measuring the hips before telling him to choose a fabric pattern which Javier came in and gave her the fabric square. It was a nice dull green with a slightly greener patterning and the girl tch'd before snatching it away from Javier and showing it the noble.

"You want this shade?" she asked Lloyd who looked confused. tailors did what was first chosen, not ask if they really wanted the shade. He glanced around the store, noticing it was catered to nobles and upper class commoners with a policy that said 'The one wearing the dress chooses".

"Uh…"

"Don't worry. You have till sunset so take your time."

Time passed and Lloyd chose a shade he liked. It was way to light for his skin and it clashed with his eyes.

"I'm choosing. You have horrid color choices," she groaned, picking out a nice green to bring out his eyes.

[Wow. You have horrid naming and fashion sense!]

Shut up system

"You want it by tonight or tomorrow?" she asked, grabbing some more fabric samples and putting it near his skin.

"Tomorrow."

"Okay..your final total is 30 gold," she muttered, going to the counter. Lloyd was shocked. it was that much for a custom made dress?! He could hear his wallet crying in the distance.

He sucked it up and paid and the next day, the dress came in a fancy pink box and it was short enough to walk around without dragging but elegant enough to tell people 'I paid 30 gold for this' and a letter taped on by the girls mother.

'Thank you for commissioning a dress from Lowsons! As a high paying customer, you get a pair of heels and a handmade lace bow from my daughter as a freebie!

-The owner

Lloyd opened the box to find 3 pieces of garments. the under dress, a quite nice dull but bright green with a white outer jacket, and dress cage along with the heels (how did they fit him??) with the bow. the bow had a pin with instructions of how to wear it along with the messy handwriting of his young tailor.

As he read it, he flushed in embarrassment as Javier tried to hold his laughter as Lloyd read the letter twice before promptly going in the bathroom the hotel and changing, taking the box with him.

After a few moments. Lloyd came out of bathroom and he looked…stunning for a man in a dress and Javier looked away, trying to not look flustered.

"You look…delightful, young master," Javier said, gathering his own and his master items from the hotel room.

A few days later, they arrived at Fronterta esate and Arcos thought Lloyd was closeted and hugging him as javier used his mana to hold back his laugh.
