When Rio opens her eyes, it is late into the night. She didn’t mean to fall asleep, had intended to stay awake to enjoy every moment of stolen affection, but her body had betrayed her.
She looks down, and sees the curve of Agatha's face, resting gently against her bosom. Her arm is protectively slung across Rio's waist, her other one entangling their fingers with Rio's, holding on tight enough that she couldn't pull free. Agatha, too, seemed set on enjoying this rare moment, refusing to let Rio slip away before it was time. The eyelids are closed, peaceful and at rest, but her body is aware, holding on tight to something that could easily disappear.
Rio smile, her heart beating harder at the observation. How often had she not snuck through the dark, observing Agatha through the windowpane and staring at her soft features while she slumbered. She had ached to be there, comforting her lover as her eyelids twitched and nightmares woke her, forcing her to retreat less she would be caught. Wishing, longing for a time when she would not have to flee.
And now, now she was here. Gently, she dipped her head, letting her lips pass featherlight over Agatha's still eyelids. She does it once, twice, thrice, and only stops when she sees the curve of Agatha's lips pointing upwards, notifying her that she has woken.
“What a lovely wake up call” Agatha purr, stretching her body out so she covers Rio completely.
Rio smiled. “You deserved it, my love” She tells Agatha quietly. “And I'd happily do it again.”
Agatha's lips curve again. “Oh really? Does that not seem unfair…I get all the kisses, and you get none?” She smile, her head moving from her bosom up to Rio's face, the two of them nose to nose as she observed the target of her affection.
Rio laughed. “Perhaps a little. What are you going to do about it?”
“Close your eyes” Agatha demands, smirking as her eyes glow with want. “And I'll show you.”
Rio obeyed, letting her eyelids flutter closed as she leaned back, her body relaxing and letting itself submit entirely to whatever Agatha wanted to do. She's not sure what to expect, not really, but a gracious smile graces her features as she feels Agatha's lips ghost over her eyelids, returning the favour from earlier that morning.
“I love you” she whispers, eyes still closed, as Agatha continued kissing her. “I love you, Agatha.”
She can feel Agatha pause above her, her lips suddenly leaving her face, and for a moment she fears that perhaps Agatha does not long for her the way she does Agatha, but soon the lips return, brushing her eyelids one more time.
“I love you too, Rio.”
