When Sunoo first proposed the idea of all of them going on a trip together, Jungwon honestly didn’t think they’d actually make it happen. He remembers vividly when the group were thinking about planning a trip to Jamaica two summers ago, just for them to all back out one by one, all coming up with different excuses. It’s a pattern, all of them planning ideas for a potential trip only for it to fall through. Since then, Jungwon knew better than to get his hopes up.
To actually be here vacationing on Jeju Island is surreal, turns out trips can make it out the group chat. No more looking at his Pinterest moodboards wishing it were real life, and no more pretending to buy airline tickets only to close out the tab minutes later after cringing at the price; this was real. Jungwon has only his hyung’s Sunoo and Jay to thank for being the main ones taking the initiative and planning out their itinerary for their stay. There was no argument when splitting the rooms of the house rental and those two got solo rooms, they deserved it and much more.
“This is where we’re staying?” Riki remarks beside him, in awe of the mini villa they’ve just walked into. He drags his suitcase alongside him as he moves around the living room, peeking through the glass windows that faces the pool. “And a private pool? Let’s fucking go.”
“And there’s gym equipment down here for us too,” Sunghoon’s voice echoes from somewhere, presumably from the basement steps.
“Did any of you guys click the links or check the photos we sent? All of this shouldn’t be a surprise.” Jungwon turns his head over his shoulder to see Jay bringing in his luggage and close the door behind him, resulting in a loud beep as it locks.
“We all trusted that you and Sunoo hyung would’ve never let us down,” Jungwon jests, abandoning his suitcase in the middle of the kitchen to meet him by the door.
“Yeah, yeah. Wait until you see the rooms, that’s the real surprise.”
“Oh, I’ve already seen the photos. They looked very nice online,” Jungwon smiles, “…And thank you again for actually making this trip happen. I’m so happy that we’re here.”
“I know, I’ve been the poor victim of your many, many rants,” Jay matches his expression. “…And you’re welcome.”
“Okay—everybody get in here now, we are on a tight schedule!” Sunoo yells to get everyone’s attention, and they all gather in the living room. “We arrived later than we expected but that’s okay! For now I want everyone upstairs to drop off their belongings and relax a little, and in fifteen or twenty minutes I want everyone back down here so we can head to the supermarket and grab some groceries.”
Everyone practically scatters like roaches, except for Jungwon who takes his sweet time immersing himself in the house. It’s quite literally a mini mansion he’s standing in, he could only dream about living here for real.
Eventually he drags his suitcase up the steps and explores the second floor, still fancy but not as fancy as the first floor. He hums while walking down the hall where his room is, one of the rooms that’s on the left wing of the house. Jungwon intentionally walks past his shared room with Jake, already knowing what to expect. What he’s more interested in are the single rooms with so much space with room enough for king-sized beds, the ones Jay and Sunoo got.
And the difference was drastic—not to say that the other rooms are trash, but they pale in comparison to this. Jungwon felt as if he was touching the clouds of heaven when he spread his palm on the mattress, it was so soft that it left an imprint of his hand on it. Not only that, but the decor was way cooler too, in his opinion. Light blue painted walls with a couple of vines draping them, some potted plants, and great natural lighting coming from the window. The overall vibes of the room just gave tropical, which was exactly what he was anticipating.
“Wrong room.” Standing in the doorway is Jay with his suitcase, and his signature half smirk on his face. “What are you doing in here? You got lost?”
“Can’t I be curious and make a pitstop to the other rooms as well?” Jungwon teases before sitting down on the edge of the bed and laying down, getting comfortable by shutting his eyes and pretending to sleep. “I’m kinda jealous that you get a room and bed all to yourself.”
“Exactly. My bed and you’re already rubbing your germs all over it before I’ve even had the chance to get in it.” He senses Jay coming closer, and thinking he’s going to pull on his ankle or something Jungwon tenses, only to be greatly surprised when Jay instead belly flops on top of him and smothers Jungwon with his body.
“Ugh—get off of me!” His muffled giggles sound from underneath, trying to push Jay away by his chest.
“Oh, now you wanna leave?” Jay quips, chuckling loudly near his ear. Jungwon tries his best to wrestle him off him, even trying wrapping his legs around Jay’s torso to flip him on his backside but to no avail. He quickly gives up, easily allowing Jay to grab ahold of both of his wrists and pinning them by his head. Slowly Jungwon catches his breath, before locking his eyes onto Jay’s.
He and Jay have been friends for years, he’s the first one Jungwon will run to if he needs a laugh, some simple advice, and even a shoulder to cry on. Jungwon greatly values their friendship, but every now and then he catches himself slipping; more often than not he finds himself staring at Jay for far longer than appropriate, or overanalyzes every interaction that they have.
He’s attractive—all of his friends are—but Jungwon’s always placed Jay in a category separate from the rest of them. He’s taller, older, and most importantly passionate. He makes Jungwon laugh the most without even meaning to, and has a sense of maturity that most guys around his age lack.
It’s not like Jungwon likes him or anything—not like it would ever happen anyways. He would never dare mess up the dynamic of their friend group, and no doubt that the rest of their friends would have a problem with it too. Besides, Jungwon’s pretty sure this is all a one-sided tension, as Jay wears his heart on his sleeve and has never been particularly subtle about the things or people he cares about. If he wanted something, he’d go for it.
They’re better off as friends and Jungwon’s better off keeping everything to himself, it’s not a big deal at all.
Eventually Jay’s grip loosens, and he slowly crawls off Jungwon to sit on the edge of the bed, absentmindedly playing with his phone in his lap. “…Who’re you rooming with, by the way?”
“Jake hyung. We decided in the bathroom at the airport, Jake hyung with me, Sunghoon hyung and Riki together, then you and Sunoo hyung with your own rooms.”
“Hm. Should be interesting. You excited?”
“Of course, I am. Well, the room arrangements are the least exciting thing on this trip. We’re gonna be outside all day every day and only come into the rooms to sleep.” He stretches his limbs before sitting up and scooting to the edge and sit next to Jay, “Speaking of, I think Sunoo hyung mentioned that we already have something planned for tonight? We’re going out clubbing aren’t we?”
“I believe so. But we might not make it there cause someone is lollygagging in my room instead of bringing his luggage and unpacking in his room instead.” Jay sideeyes him, pretending to claw his right shoulder.
“Fine, fine! I’ll take the hint. You’re just mad that you’re gonna be all lonely by yourself in this room.” Jungwon abruptly stands, childishly sticking his tongue out and exits Jay's room along with his suitcase to go back to his own.
His shared room with Jake is not too far from Jay’s, just down the hall and a bathroom separating the two rooms. “Hey, roomie!” Jake greets from his bed like an excited puppy, already claiming the left side of the room. “Sunoo just asked to make a combined grocery list and send it in the chat. What kind of meat should we get? Steak? Chicken? Everything?”
“Already? Damn, he’s really on top of things…” Jungwon positions his suitcase against a nearby wall before flopping on his bed. It’s not as soft as Jay’s. “I kinda want everything too.”
“Right?” Jake agrees, and quickly gets to typing, “Anddd sent.”
Turns out when Jake sent out his list that said everything, he must’ve quite literally typed the word ‘everything’. When Jungwon looked, their shopping cart was packed to the brim with snacks and ingredients, some of which were necessary, some definitely not. They’re only staying for like four days, not a month.
After returning from their grocery store rendezvous it was approaching six o clock, and after packing away the stuff they bought in the kitchen they scrambled to their rooms to get ready for tonight. Jungwon finished getting ready a little earlier than everyone else, and to pass the time he laid on the living room couch blasting music from Riki’s speaker.
One by one everyone gathered downstairs, either in the living room or in the kitchen. Jungwon glanced up from his phone, seeing Jay make his way over with two shot glasses in his hands. His outfit’s nice, one could rarely look bad in an open collared shirt, Jay’s no exception, and shirt sleeves that hug his arms so tightly that even Jungwon has trouble looking away from.
“Woah, when did you get so buff?” Jungwon openly admits, clearly amused. He traces Jay’s bicep with his finger, and teases him a little by dipping it under his sleeve. “Your arm’s almost bursting out the sleeves. Hot.”
“Good. That’s the point,” Jay chuckles as he takes a seat beside Jungwon and hands him the extra shot glass he had.
“To be on vacation means to look extra hot?”
“Exactly.”
Jungwon smirks and brings the shot glass to his lips, but before he could down it all Sunoo walks to the center of the living room, clinking his glass to get everyone’s attention. “Gooood evening my lovely friends!” he announces dramatically, “I know you guys are probably still tired from the long day we’ve had but that’s exactly why we we're all taking two shots to energize ourselves for tonight before we leave! Everyone has their shot glass in hand, right? Cheers!”
Anyone who wasn’t in the living room makes their way over and they all clink their glasses together before drinking. Jungwon of course gags as the liquid slides down his throat, definitely the strong stuff.
Sunoo clears his throat again, face flushed pink and looking suspiciously joyful, “Before I continue on with what else I was going to say, I just want to thank you guys one more time for showing up and being here with me on this trip. I know it’s tough for us to make plans that all of us will be able to attend, so you guys have no idea how much this trip means to me. Seriously, I love you guys. I will let literally nothing get in the way of this being the perfect vacation ever.”
Jake tilts his head sideways, “Are you… drunk already?”
“Tipsy at most,” Sunghoon answers, “I saw him drink from the bottle while we were eating dinner.”
Sunoo stares daggers at him, “Shut up!”
“Aww, we love you too, hyung,” Jungwon coos, smiling. Sunoo’s face immediately brightens up.
“Do you love me enough to go along with my plan for tonight?” From seemingly nowhere behind his back, Sunoo pulls out a stack of small white cards.
“…What are those?”
“Mission cards! I thought it would be fun to spice things up, so I came up with the idea to write up some things each of us could complete by the end of the night.” He shuffles the stack before spreading the cards face down on the coffee table, “We all pick a random card, each with a different mission written on it, and it must be completed before we leave the club.”
“…And what happens if we don’t complete the mission?”
Sunoo smiles widely, “That’s for you to find out! Are you guys in?”
Everyone ends up agreeing, because fuck it, and after picking from the pile and reading what his mission is, Jungwon almost wants to ask for a trade.
Get a stranger’s number!
As nosey as he is, Jay leans over his shoulder to read his card. “Oh, yours is easy.”
“Easy, my ass,” Jungwon rolls his eyes, “I rarely approach people first, and even if I miraculously do, I certainly don’t have the guts to ask anyone for their number directly.” Not even liquid courage is enough to get him to do such a thing.
“I mean, the mission didn’t specify that you had to ask for it. You can just stand there and some stranger will come up, flirt with you a little and boom: they ask for your number. And considering it’s you, you don’t have to try hard.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Jungwon flicks Jay's forehead, “What’s yours?”
Jay leans back and dramatically clears his throat before reading. “Get someone to buy you drinks.”
“Now that’s what I call easy. You’re good looking enough to pull that off.”
“So you say. When people look at me they just assume that I have money like that, so more often than not I’m the one people look towards if they want free drinks.”
Well, first of all, Jay does in fact have money like that, but he gets his point. He grabs and props Jay’s arm up, “Well, maybe just hide your fancy watches so people don’t realize you’re rich. Look how blingy this thing is.”
“But it’s an integral part of my outfit…”
Jungwon giggles as he releases his arm, “Then no complaining.”
⋆。🌊𖦹 °.🐚⋆❀˖°
Turns out Jay was right about Jungwon having to do literally nothing, because within the first hour some guy randomly appeared by his side trying to hit on him. He somehow managed to whisk Jungwon away from his friends so they could talk somewhere more secluded, and because he’s hot and for the sake of the mission he went. But God does Jungwon regret going with him. This guy is the most boring person on the planet, just going on and on about himself and telling Jungwon stories he couldn't care less about. Jungwon almost fell asleep thrice.
“…but that’s enough about me. So, where you from?”
Jungwon perks up to answer, “I was born and raised in Seoul.”
“Ah, we’re in the same area, then,” he smirks, but Jungwon doesn’t give enough of a shit to fawn over it. “You know, I actually went to—”
“Yo,” Another stranger comes up behind the man and taps his shoulder, “Sorry to interrupt, man, but Beomgyu just threw up on security. We gotta go.”
“Fuck, seriously? ‘Kay, I’ll be there in a min to help.” His friend, Jungwon assumes, nods and disappears into the crowd, probably back to where their other friend is. Boring guy gives him an apologetic look, “Sorry to cut our talk short, sweetheart. Seems my friends need me.”
Thank God, “No worries! I had fun talking with you.”
“Me too,” he smiles, putting his hands on Jungwon’s hips to bring him closer, “I leave tomorrow, but since we both stay in Seoul, why don’t we stay in touch?”
Jungwon takes his phone to type in his number, more than ready to get this mission over with. Was all of this worth it? Absolutely not. The things he does for Sunoo’s happiness…
The guy calls his number to confirm, “Awesome, it’s saved. I guess I’ll be seeing ya?”
“…Mhm! Hope your friend turns out already.”
“Thanks.” Before Jungwon could react he leans down and kisses him goodbye on his lips. “Have fun, see you in Seoul.”
The guy then leaves, and Jungwon’s left standing there regretting his life decisions, once again. But hey, at least he completed his mission?
He wipes his lips, and weaves through the sea of bodies after deciding to go to the bathroom to freshen up. He pauses at the long line, but luckily he spots Jay waiting with his back against the wall all cooly, standing towards the front.
Sneakily, Jungwon creeps up behind him and digs his nails into his shoulder, and predictably Jay yelps from his sudden touch. “Gah—what’s wrong with you? Can’t you just say hi like a normal person?”
“Where’s the fun in that?” Jungwon laughs, and joins Jay on the line. “How long have you been waiting here?”
“…Too long, to be honest. I kinda went a little crazy at the bar. There was this old lady who was very generous. My mission was quite literally handed to me on a silver platter.”
“Hmm… sounds like she wanted to fuck you.”
“Me and the other twenty-somethings that were lingering nearby to get drinks for the free. If I was more open minded, perhaps,” he jokes. “How’d it go with loverboy?”
Jungwon pretends to gag, “Barf. I hated every second of it. He’s hot, but holy shit he was he so boring. He just kept going on and on about himself, asked me maybe two questions about myself just to go right back to talking about himself again.” He doesn’t even want to tell Jay about the kiss, it’s just too embarrassing. “I was so relieved when his friend interrupted us, I couldn’t take it anymore.” Any longer with him all of Jungwon’s youth would’ve surely slipped away.
“Sounds like you need a drink. We can head to the bar in a little bit if you want, my treat.”
“It’s like you read my mind,” Jungwon grins. He takes the moment to stare at Jay, and is hesitant with his next choice of words. “…Your future partner is so lucky. You’d be like, the perfect boyfriend.”
Jay blinks in confusion, “I’d be the perfect boyfriend because I'm buying you a drink?”
“Yes, but that’s not exactly what I meant—you just always know all the right things to say. You even recognized in an instant how desperately I needed more alcohol in my system in order for me to recover from whatever that was. You’re attentive, is what I’m saying.” For some reason, Jungwon finds himself smiling, “That guy could learn a lot from you.”
Jay chuckles softly, staring into his eyes. “Yeah?” He reaches over and pinches Jungwon’s waist.
“Hey,” Jungwon jerks back, a retort at the tip of his tongue but is interrupted when a stranger behind them harshly clears their throat.
“Ahem—Um, can one of y'all go in there now?” They angrily gesture towards the bathroom door which is wide open and available.
Jungwon’s face flushed red from embarrassment. “…You go first, hyung.”
⋆。🌊𖦹 °.🐚⋆❀˖°
After a long, yet fun day of go-karting, a bit of sightseeing, and spending almost three hours eating barbeque at this one spot, the rest of the night was spent winding down by playing games in the living room, drinking included, of course.
Jungwon swears his friends are all alcoholics. Literally every game they’ve played involved some type of drinking as the penalty. For example, there was truth or drink, drunk UNO, never have I ever but drink if you have done it… just drink, drink, and more drinking.
Now they’re playing some kind of questions game, and you drink if you refuse to answer. It’s Jungwon’s turn, and he picks a card from the deck to read aloud. “Who among everyone in the room would you deem the best kisser?”
“What kind of question is that…? It’s not like any of us kissed each other to know that,” Sunghoon frowns.
Riki snickers, “You mean no one has kissed you. After like three shots of the heavy stuff Sunoo hyung’s ready to drunk kiss just about anyone in the vicinity.”
Jungwon nods, “He’s right. Even I made out with Sunoo a little last night.”
“Same,” Jay adds casually, “N-Not last night, though.”
“What can I say, I just have a lot of love to give,” Sunoo shrugs it off, and eyes Jungwon curiously, “Wonie, just answer who you think would be the best kisser out of all of us.”
“Then…” He looks around the circle before his eyes land on Jay, “I choose Jay hyung.”
“Him?” Sunoo gasps, “I for sure thought you’d choose me…”
Sunghoon snorts, “Yeah, why him?”
“I was literally just telling him this last night, it’s because he’s attentive and would make the effort to learn his partner’s habits and adjust to make them feel good—” his voice trails off, maybe he’s getting a little too specific. Judging by everyone else’s stares, he definitely said too much.
Jungwon grabs his cup to sip away the embarrassment, and thankfully the tension is eased when Jake nods his head in agreement. “I agree, and not only that, he seems to be good with his hands—um, nevermind.”
“…Wow,” Riki starts off, a smirk teasing his lips, “You guys are legit creating fanfiction of the guy right in front of him.”
“Honestly? I’m flattered,” Jay chuckles, seemingly fine with it.
Somewhere in the distance he hears Sunoo laugh, “You know, I’m so glad we can joke around like this.” Everyone else in the room laughs along with him.
…Except Jungwon.
Even hours after the game ended and they all headed to bed, Jungwon was still up thinking about Sunoo’s words, because deep down, a part of him knew he wasn’t joking.
Unable to stand being trapped alone with these thoughts any longer, Jungwon hastily gets out of bed and goes down to the kitchen, hoping to clear his mind a bit by sipping some cold water. What he didn’t expect was that he’d run into Jay there, the one person who can’t seem to leave his mind. How funny. “Oh, you’re here…”
“Don’t sound so disappointed,” Jay jokes. “What are you doing up? Couldn’t sleep either?”
Jungwon brushes past him to fetch a water bottle from the fridge. “Yep. I don’t know why but I just feel so restless, it’s like my mind is running a mile a minute.” Jake knocked out as soon as his head hit the pillow, Jungwon’s jealous that he could go to sleep so easily. “Jake hyung’s out like a light, though.”
“I would be too if I singlehandedly drunk a whole bottle,” Jay shakes his head. “You could’ve sworn he was drinking water with his fast he got done with it, barely left any for the rest of us.”
“I guess you didn’t drink much tonight, huh. Every time I looked, your cup was still full.”
“You were watching me that closely?”
“D-Don’t make it sound weird. I just noticed, is all,” Jungwon immediately protests, “Anyways—why are you also up this late?”
“Same reason as you. I thought if I came down here and drunk milk or something then maybe it’d help me fall asleep.”
“Let me guess: it didn’t work?”
“Not at all,” he sighs, making Jungwon giggle, “But, at least you’re here keeping me company,” Jay nudges Jungwon’s hip with his own, the small gesture causes butterflies in Jungwon’s stomach. "So, how are you enjoying the trip so far?”
“It’s only been a day. But I’m having fun. Speaking of, what are we doing tomorrow? Er, today, I guess.”
“Tour of the Manjangul Cave. It’s cheap to explore, so why not.”
Jungwon stares in disbelief. “A cave? You’re telling me someone as easily frightened as yourself is willing to explore some dark ass cave? You know it probably has some bats or some other creatures, right?”
“You wish I’d scream. I’m not that easily frightened,” Jay claims, though it seems like he’s trying to convince himself rather than Jungwon. “And if for the extremely unlikely reason that I do scream… you’d protect me, won’t you?”
Jungwon snorts just before drinking his water, “I’d be trying to spook you the whole time, honestly.”
“Oh, right, I forgot. You love seeing me miserable.” Jay quips. “…Speaking of surprises, I guess, it kind of surprised me when you picked me as who you thought would be the best kisser out of all of us.”
Jungwon almost chokes on his water, “Oh… that.” He looks everywhere but at him, “…I mean, it was either between you or Sunoo, and Sunoo’s Sunoo.”
“So I’m special, then?”
“Again, don’t flatter yourself,” Jungwon pushes Jay by his shoulder, and taking the chance to look at him Jungwon’s expression softens upon seeing his handsome smile. “…I meant what I said though.”
He watches Jay's expression shift to that of a mischievous grin, “Yeah? What do you say then, how about kissing me for real to find out if what you think is true?” he teases, leaning in close and wiggling his eyebrows.
Jay was so close, Jungwon could see every detail of his face. His striking hawk eyes, angular jawline, even his stupid eyebrow wiggles—somehow both cute and ridiculous.
It was an obvious joke, Jungwon knew that, but for some reason he impulsively closed the gap and their lips met for a brief kiss. Emphasis on brief, because the second Jungwon realized what he was doing, he jerked away. His hands fly to cover his mouth in shock, “Oh my god—I’m so sorry. I don’t know why I did that…”
“I… It’s fine.” Jay says, but to Jungwon his blank expression reads the opposite. “…Let’s just forget about it.”
“Yeah… haha…” Jungwon nervously laughs, backing out of the kitchen. “…I’m gonna go now.” He rushes out of the kitchen before giving Jay a chance to reply, sprinting straight to his room and quietly shutting the door behind him. Jungwon presses his back against it for a moment to calm his rapid heartbeat, internally cursing himself for what he did.
What’s going on with him? Things are bound to be awkward between them now, and Jungwon honestly has no idea how he can talk his way out of this one. It’s not like he can admit to Jay that he’s maybe, sorta, kinda attracted to him, or that more often than not that stupid eyebrow thing he does completely short circuits his brain. Jungwon would rather genuinely die than admit any of that to his face.
Breathing out a long sigh, Jungwon drags his feet back to his bed and buries himself underneath the covers, praying he’ll fall asleep soon.

There must be something in Jeju Island’s air that’s slowly turning Jungwon crazy.
It all started last night, maybe earlier than that, but ever since they’ve been here Jungwon has been making nothing but rash decisions, and any and everything annoys the shit out of him. He kissed Jay (which he absolutely did not mean to by the way, he still doesn’t know what possessed him to do that) and now he’s currently pissed by the fact that Jay is clearly going out of his way to avoid him. Before you call him crazy, Jungwon has definitive proof that Jay is avoiding him: he tried saying hi to him this morning and Jay couldn’t even look him in the eye, barely uttering back a ‘good morning’ either. And on the car ride over to the excursion, Jay didn’t sit next to him, sitting next to Riki instead.
And now, they've been walking in this damn cave for who knows how long, and they still haven’t even talked. It’s like an unnatural balance in the world, Jungwon doesn’t know how to handle this because this rarely ever happens. Jungwon’s not used to not having Jay’s attention.
But putting all of this into perspective, the common denominator here is Jay, so technically the problem isn’t with Jungwon but with him. It makes perfect sense—Jungwon wouldn’t be acting like this if it weren’t for him. It’s not his fault that Jay has stupid model hair that shapes his face nicely, or is incredibly good at sweet talking (to him, at least. He’s not so sure their friends would agree), or his stupidly perfect smile. It’s all Jay’s fault that he makes him feel… things.
But it's never been this bad before, though, so there’s definitely something up with Jeju.
His eye twitches noticing Jay wrap his arm around Jake, laughing loudly at something he said. Jungwon’s walking a little further behind, straining his ear to listen just to hear what the hell’s so funny. Jungwon can be funny too… probably.
“Why do you have a stank look on your face?” Sunghoon notices, appearing by his side to walk next to him.
“What do you mean, I look perfectly normal.”
“Mm, no you don’t. How can I word this…” he studies Jungwon’s face while pondering, “You have the face of someone walking into a house full of days old dog shit.”
“Ew, hyung. Gross.”
“I’m just saying! That’s what you look like,” he defends. “So what’s actually bothering you? Is it the bat piss or—”
“I just don’t feel well, is all.”
Sunghoon’s teasing expression drops, “Oh, that’s not good. Could it have been something you’ve eaten? Hold on—” he yells for Sunoo to come over, “Jungwonie says he’s not feeling well.”
“Oh no—I refuse to have anyone feeling sick on this trip.” Sunoo immediately rushes over and frantically digs through his bag full of random shit, “What is it you need? Ibuprofen? Electrolytes? Vitamins? I even brought heating pads—”
“Actually—I think I’m magically cured, I feel way better now.”
Sunoo looks skeptical, “Are you sure…? Because I will make everyone go home right now so you’re well rested for tonight’s dinner—”
“It’s fine, hyung. I’m fine, you don’t have to rearrange everything just for me,” he reassures.
“Okay, fine. But if you start feeling even the slightest bit off again don’t be afraid to tell me, alright?”
“Thank you,” Jungwon musters his best smile. Though, he’d rather deepthroat six or seven live crabs at once then admit what he’s actually feeling upset about.
By the time they finally exit the cave, Jungwon relished in breathing in fresh air again after previously feeling like he was suffocating being in that cave. The group afterwards stopped at a cafe for a bite to eat, claiming the big table near the window that accommodated them all. Jungwon sat across from Jay, still irritated by the fact that Jay still hasn’t looked at him at all.
To pass the time while the others talked he pulled out his phone, Boring guy from the club last night had been texting him since this morning but he never answered. Jungwon never planned to, but at least this guy’s eager to talk to him unlike a certain individual.
In the middle of deciding how to reply, Riki’s nosey ass peers into his phone, gasping and wiggling Jungwon’s shoulders after reading the texts. “Ho ho ho—is that club guy you’re texting? Look at you being all sneaky.”
Jungwon bites back a smile, “Shut up, I’m simply just replying because he texted me first.”
“What’s he saying?” Jake chimes in after overhearing.
“He’s asking when I’ll be back in Seoul, I guess he wants us to meet up.”
“So are you gonna go?”
Jungwon shrugs, “I just might.”
“I thought you said you didn’t like him.”
Jungwon freezes, and slowly looks up at Jay because it’s practically the first sentence he’s said to Jungwon all day. Now he has something to say? “I never said that. I said that he was annoying.”
“Is that not the same thing?”
“Not really. And besides, he’s not annoying to me now.”
Jay’s expression still remains neutral, but Jungwon knows all too well that that’s just him putting up a front to hide how bothered he actually is. Good.
“Sounds like someone is developing a crush,” Sunoo teases from across the table, “That kiss last time totally won you over.”
Jay’s eyes snap to Jungwon, “…Kiss?” he raises a questioning brow, his composed persona starting to slip. “You didn’t tell me about that…”
Jungwon shrugs, “Must’ve forgot.”
“You ‘forgot’? You literally came to me right after you—”
“Does it even matter?” Jungwon sharply cuts him off, “Why do you care who I kiss?” His words shook the whole table, all of their friends staring at them in confusion. Jungwon purses his lips while looking down at his plate of food, wishing everyone would just stop looking at him.
Sunghoon’s the first to break the silence, “…Did something happen between you two?”
“…No,” he hears Jay say, and Jungwon didn’t dare to look up from his plate, continuing with picking at his food. “Nothing at all.”
It becomes awkward after that, but Jungwon couldn’t care less.

He was starting to feel a bit better by the time night rolled around.
They’re taking advantage of the house’s private pool, swimming and splashing about. Jungwon doesn’t do too much, simply standing waist deep in the water while listening to his friends debate the most ridiculous hypothetical questions imaginable.
“So,” Riki begins, trying to float on his back, “Would you rather have a large, permanent neck tattoo that says ‘THROAT GOAT™’, or be stuck in solitary confinement for life and the only way to be let out is by fucking every security guard on duty?”
Sunoo fixes his face in disgust, “What the fuck is wrong with you?”
“Just hurry and pick.”
“The second one, I guess.”
“Oh, really? I’m choosing the first. My body is a temple.”
“But you just… you chose a tattoo.”
“I also choose five guards,” Jay says, and Jake also nods. Jungwon also picks that option.
“Of course y'all gay asses choose the second option,” Sunghoon cackles, “I’m with Riki, I’m going with the tattoo.”
“Quick pivot,” Jake starts, already having trouble holding in his laughter before he gets the joke out, “Who’s the gayest out of all of us and why is it Sunghoon?”
“Agreed. Whenever Hoon’s around someone he’s into, he can’t help but act a fucking fool trying to impress them,” Jay says.
Everyone else seems in favor of it, except Sunghoon of course, “What?? You guys are seriously choosing me over Sunoo? Over Jay?”
“Sunoo knows how to be normal, so it can’t be him,” Jake explains, “And Jay is bisexual… I think.”
“That’s so… you can’t be serious.”
“I’m so serious. I put that on my dead grandpa’s life.”
“Put it on someone alive, pussy.”
“Can I put it on you?” Jake suggests, and suddenly Sunghoon’s silent, “Ooh, someone’s real fucking quiet now.”
“And we did that all without a single curse word… how lovely.” Sunoo says. “Now, not to be a party pooper but I can't be in here for much longer, the chlorine’s not really good for bleached hair.”
On his way out of the pool he taps Riki’s shoulder, “Oh, oh yeah! Same, I gotta dip too.”
“I also need to go, the water makes me wanna pee.” Jake announces as well, “Hey, Hoon. You have to pee too, right?”
“Huh? Oh—” Jungwon doesn’t miss how Sunghoon’s eyes suspiciously dart between him and Jay. “Uh, yes…! I love… peeing.”
Jake shakes his head in disappointment, “Dude… you coulda just stopped at ‘yes’.”
Jay sighs, “Well if everyone’s leaving then I guess we’ll all just go—”
“No,” Jake is quick to say. “You two are free to stay in a bit longer, maybe talk things out?”
Jungwon blinks, “…Excuse me? What are you guys talking about?”
“About you and Jay hyung, of course! I will not tolerate animosity between you guys or anyone on this trip," Sunoo makes it clear, "So either figure out your shit now or you’re both sleeping out here tonight with the mosquitoes.”
“Hyung—”
But it’s too late, the patio door slid shut and then there was a distinct click. From the other side of the glass Sunoo waves and blows kisses.
Did they seriously just lock them out here?
Now it’s just him and Jay, alone. It’s funny, because this was exactly what Jungwon had been hoping for all day, a chance for them to talk, but right now it’s nothing but crickets. It’s much easier being annoyed about the situation than pretending he wasn’t hurt by it. Jungwon sure as hell won’t make the first move, though.
“Since we’re stuck out here for who knows how long…” Jay finally cuts through the awkward silence, “Are you gonna tell me the reason for your attitude today?”
“I didn’t have an attitude.”
“You did.”
“No, I didn’t.”
“Yes, you did. Don’t think I didn't notice you giving me dirty looks all day, and how defensive you were at the cafe when I only asked you a simple question.” Jay goes quiet for a moment, “…If this is about yesterday—”
“Of course this is about yesterday! I know it’s all my fault that I…” he pauses, “…and I apologized for it and we agreed to forget about it. But come morning time you barely could look at me and never even tried to talk to me all day. I thought… that maybe you hated me…”
“Jungwon…” his name is said ever so gently, “I could never hate you.”
“It sure felt like it.”
“I’m sorry,” Jay looks apologetic, “I guess I didn’t realize that it would come off that way. I just wanted to give you some space since you were so freaked out about it.”
“…I also apologize for my, um, dramatic reactions. I don’t know what’s wrong with me lately,” he attempted to laugh, “I started it though, I shouldn’t have kissed you.”
Jungwon’s heart pounds from anxiety again, wondering why Jay is just looking at him like that instead of answering back. For a while neither of them spoke, until Jay asked quietly, “…And why did you kiss me?”
“You were all in my face wiggling your stupid eyebrows saying things like, ‘oh you think I would be a good kisser why not find out for real harharhar’ so I just—” he groans, covering his face in embarrassment with his pruny hands. "Alcohol makes people do stupid things.”
Jay laughs softly, “Was it true, then? Do you still think I might be the best kisser?”
Jungwon’s stomach flips, “…It was only a peck. It wasn’t enough for me to judge you.”
Jay doesn’t reply, instead he comes closer, leaving very little space between them. It’s all very reminiscent of the night before. “…Are you still curious?”
Jungwon’s gaze immediately falls to his lips, so warm, so inviting. Yesterday’s thoughts were flooding back to him: is Jay the best kisser? The kiss last night was barely anything anyway, just a single spark from when their lips touched but was quickly put out.
But now Jay is offering to reignite that flame again, and it’s not like Jungwon could refuse, couldn’t even if he wanted to. His body reacts before his mind could assess, and once again acts first.
The kiss was gentle, almost tentative, neither of them seemed to want to pull away. Jungwon eventually does, but Jay grabs his chin and pulls him back for more. The spark Jungwon had felt turned into a flame, then fireworks—it was like the desire Jungwon had been holding back finally exploded. The kiss was everything like he imagined and more.
If Jay is his flame then Jungwon is the moth. Jay’s hands splash in the water, eager to pick Jungwon up and wrap his legs around his waist. Jungwon’s arms in turn circle around his neck, tilting his head to the left to deepen the kiss.
Jay hums into his mouth, before trailing his lips down his chin and to his neck. Jungwon bites his bottom lip in an effort to suppress a moan, and hugs around Jay’s neck tighter.
“Yo!” A voice in the distance that sounds a lot like Riki calls out from the patio, making them quickly separate and splash around like idiots in the pool. Thankfully, a conveniently placed lawn chair seems to have obstructed his view, he didn’t see a damn thing. “Are you guys friends again?”
Friends? After this, Jungwon can’t just be this man’s friend. He looks to Jay for what to do now, but he’s already looking at him. “…Yeah,” Jay says while staring, before swimming to the pool steps. Jungwon follows suit.
⋆。🌊𖦹 °.🐚⋆❀˖°
They don’t really talk about it.
Which sucks for Jungwon, because he really, really wants to talk about it. He wants to do more, actually, if he’s being honest. He can’t get Jay off his mind ever since last night.
There’s definitely something in Jeju’s air, some kind of aphrodisiac, maybe. Or some special kind of sex pollen that’s floating around the island, because what is it about this trip that has him acting like such a bird brain? Jungwon hasn’t been this down bad for a guy since his first year of college.
Because he and Jake share a bathroom with Jay, Jungwon had the chance this morning to be in there with him alone. Nothing happened, obviously, just a short conversation about their itinerary for the day while brushing their teeth. At least Jay acknowledged him, greeting him with that endearing half-smile he does. That alone was enough to make Jungwon’s entire morning, which in hindsight, is incredibly sad.
The thought wasn’t enough to deter him, though, as he’s been completely glued to Jay’s side all day, desperate for that chance alone somehow just so he’d be kissed again.
Jungwon’s phone buzzes while they're walking through the avenue full of shops and restaurants, it’s Boring Guy from the club again.
“You’re still texting him?” Jay asks after glimpsing into his phone.
“Just to pass the time… he keeps spamming me.” Jungwon was fine entertaining him yesterday, but after the kiss this guy's old news now, “I can stop texting him.”
Jay shrugs, “You can do what you want, it’s fine.”
His answer was casual enough, but Jungwon can sense an underlying jealousy. Or maybe he’s imagining that, wouldn’t be the first for this trip. He decides to put his phone away anyway, “I won’t. I’m getting bored of him anyway.”
He catches Jay trying to manage his smile, and a second later slings an arm around Jungwon’s shoulder, pulling him close. Jungwon tried his hardest not to look too pleased by the gesture.
The next hour was spent wandering into different shops and going up to literally anything that caught their eye. Jungwon still stuck by Jay, lingering a little behind the rest of the group. He taps him on his arm, “Wait, Jay hyung, I think I set my phone down somewhere in the last store. Come with me to go get it?”
Jay nods without hesitation, and tags along with him to search for his phone. As they walk, it takes Jay approximately thirty six seconds to point out that Jungwon has his phone in his hands. “Wait, Wonie… your phone's right there.”
“I know.”
“Then why’d you—” Realization dawns upon him, “Oh.”
Jungwon laughs, “Why be dragged around place to place with the others when we could be doing our thing… Just us.” He doubts they’d notice they’re gone for a while. “We passed a record shop on the way here, wanna check it out with me?”
He and Jay hang out there for a while just browsing through old vinyls and albums while Jay gives him a history lesson on everything he touches. Afterward they find a quaint ice cream shop nearby. Jay looks unfairly cute while eating his cone, Jungwon couldn’t help but take up his phone and snap some candid pictures of it.
Jay finally looks up after multiple were taken, chuckling under his breath, “You know you’re not being slick, right?”
Jungwon shamelessly takes another photo, belatedly wishing that Jay would eat him like the ice cream, one day. “Wasn’t trying to.”
Jay doesn’t seem to mind, smiling anyway while shaking his head. “Why are you taking pictures of me anyway?”
“For the memories,” Is the excuse he’s going with, which is also technically not untrue either, “If you paid attention to me even once you’d notice that I was taking pictures practically the whole trip. It’s not often that we go on a trip as a group, we always fail at planning thoroughly.”
“What do you mean, I always pay attention to you,” Again, he does that stupid eyebrow thing, “But yeah, I get what you mean. Sunoo and I were on you guy’s asses to hurry things along.”
“Which I’m grateful for, thanks again.”
“Of course.” Jay finishes eating the rest of his cone before speaking up again, “Speaking of photos, I think I saw a photobooth back over by the record store. Wanna take some after this?”
Jungwon agrees and follows Jay’s lead. Arriving at the booth, Jay opens up the curtains and his eyes widen, “Woah, it’s kinda cramped in here. This definitely wasn’t designed with two grown men in mind…” He slides in first, “Do you think you can squeeze in here?”
“Um,” Jungwon thinks, but the longer he thinks about what he wants to do he’ll psych himself out of it. So he turns his brain off, and plants himself on Jay’s lap. To his surprise, Jay immediately circles his arms around his waist. If Jungwon’s heart wasn’t already beating like crazy, it sure would be now. “Is… Is this comfortable for you? Like I’m not heavy, am I?”
“You’re good, let me just…” he adjusts Jungwon slightly, guiding his legs so he’s sitting sideways across his lap. “Better.”
Jungwon blushes profusely, and distracts himself by leaning over to toggle the buttons on the screen in front of them. “Okay… what poses should we do?”
“Uh, for the first definitely regular smiles, maybe something silly for the second, and for the third one some type of hand gesture?” Jay suggests, “As for the last one… I’m out of ideas.”
“We’ll figure it out when it comes. Ready?” Jungwon presses the button and the countdown appears. He leans back, fixing his hair in the camera reflection and readies his smile just in time for the first picture, Jay does the same. In the second picture they both thought of the same face, sticking out their tongues and crossing their eyes, and laugh at the coincidence. For the third picture, Jungwon puts up his middle finger while Jay makes bunny ears behind him.
For the last picture they both pause, looking at each other for what to do next. With time slowly running out, Jungwon makes the decision to cup Jay’s face and press a lingering kiss to his cheek.
The timer counts down the last three seconds, and the camera flashes.

Their hands brush against one another as they walk along the shore of the beach, and every accidental touch sends a tiny jolt down his spine.
“Isn’t the sunset beautiful?” Jungwon asks, breathing in the ocean breeze. He and Jay walked all the way to the end of the avenue, leading them to a beach. Not many people are present right now as the sun’s going down, but Jungwon prefers it that way, it’s more peaceful.
“Absolutely,” Jay smiles, then hastily grabs his wrist. “Wait, don’t move. The lighting here looks perfect on you, you want a picture?”
“More pictures?”
“Trust me on this.” He pulls out his phone and directs him to face the ocean slightly and look off to the side. Jungwon does as told, standing patiently as Jay snaps a few photos.
He then chuckles, “Uh oh, Sunoo’s calling. Looks like they finally noticed we’re missing.”
“Just swipe up and text him that we’re fine, and we’ll meet up with them later or something.”
Jay nods, quickly typing out a message. “He said they’re heading to dinner now.”
“As I said, we’ll meet up with them later.” Jungwon pauses, “Unless you want to—”
Jay looks at him before shaking his head, “It’s fine, you and I can find something to eat later.”
Jungwon slowly smiles to himself, “…Good. Now show me the pictures.”
They end up staying out at the beach longer than either of them planned, too caught up in the moment to realize how fast the time flew. First they soaked their feet in the water, then that somehow turned into Jay giving Jungwon a piggyback ride and them almost losing their balance and crashing into the waves.
To wind down afterwards Jungwon spread a spare towel he brought in his bag on the sand to sit down on it while Jay stayed in the ocean. His best idea yet, he's getting the best view of Jay taking his shirt off to swim, flaunting off his biceps that he’d been working extra hard on just for this trip. Not to mention his golden tan skin that seemed to glow under the orange sky.
Soon Jay comes out of the water and towards him, dripping wet, droplets streaking down his naked torso. If Jungwon could whistle, he’d definitely would at this moment. “Did you enjoy your swim, Ariel?”
Jay laughs, brushing his wet hair back. “Sure did.” He kneels beside Jungwon, and without warning he shakes his head rapidly, getting all the cold water from his hair and onto him.
“Hyung!” he basically screams, and pushes him away, giggling. “Asshole.”
Jay grins and settles back down, leans back on his elbows. “I found you something.” He uncurls his hand to reveal a blue seashell he found, and hands it over. “Pretty, right? Reminds me of you.”
“Stop flirting,” Jungwon rolls his eyes, but his dimpled smile reveals it all. “It is beautiful, though. Thanks, hyung.”
A comfortable silence falls between them, the two of them watch the waves in the distance fade into each other. A peaceful scenery to end the perfect day with the most perfect guy.
“It was a good day, right?” Jay suddenly says, it was as if he was reading Jungwon’s mind. “Better than yesterday.”
“Any day is better than yesterday.” Well, maybe except for one thing. He’d experience being in the pool making out with Jay ten times over again.
“…Not to bring it up again but, why didn’t you tell me that guy at the club kissed you? You usually tell me everything.”
“I guess… I was too embarrassed about it. You know how that whole exchange went down.”
“You have nothing to be embarrassed about, Won.”
“I know that. I was fine with telling Sunoo hyung or whoever else but when it came to you I was suddenly uncomfortable.” He looks down, “For some reason… I didn’t want you to know.”
At first Jay was quiet, as if taking the short moment for himself to carefully come up with what to say next. Jungwon’s fine with it, Jay always knows the right thing to say. “Jungwon… do you like me?”
“What? Y-You can’t just put me on the spot like that,” he sputters, face heating up like an iron. Suddenly, he’s defensive. “Do you like me?”
“I asked you first.”
“Well I asked you second.”
Jay sighs before moving to sit up. “I’m being serious. You and I this whole trip, we’ve…” his voice trails, searching for the right words, “…I just don’t wanna get my hopes up.”
The vulnerability in his voice makes Jungwon’s heart ache, this is probably the first time in forever that Jay’s ever confronted him directly about something. He’s scared, but of what? It’s just him and Jay, no one else. Jay would go above and beyond for him, and has, isn’t the least Jungwon could do is owe him some honesty?
Jungwon looks towards the waves. “…I do like you.” Hearing himself finally say it out loud is sort of terrifying, yet it felt like a huge weight has been lifted off his shoulders. “I don’t even know how it started… All I knew was that I looked at you differently from the rest of our friends.” He wills himself to look Jay’s way, analyzing every bit of his expression. He doesn’t look disgusted, that’s probably a good sign. “…Okay, your turn.”
Jay laughs quietly, “I like you too. I always thought you were cute, but because we’re such close friends it didn’t make sense for me to pursue you in that way. I was completely content with us staying friends, but after last night’s kiss, I just couldn’t get you off my mind…”
Jungwon’s heart skips several beats, he might be dying. Jay likes him. Jay likes him.
AHHHHHHHHHH—
“I’m, um, glad we cleared this up,” he whispers shyly. When he looks back at him, Jay’s already staring with a huge smile. “…Why are you staring at me like that?”
“It’s nothing,” Jay claims while shaking his head, “Well, I just… I kinda wanna kiss you right now.”
Jungwon’s face warms, “…You can.”
Jay gently cups his cheek and caresses it with his thumb before leaning in. Their lips meet softly, and immediately Jungwon’s swooning. This kiss is different from the one Jungwon stole when they were in the kitchen and the steamy kisses that were exchanged last night in the pool; this one was because they finally shared their feelings for one another, and no longer need to hold back.
“I can’t believe… that I get to do this now…” Jay mutters in between kisses.
Jungwon chuckles against his lips, kissing him again. “You’re so corny.”
Jay pinches his waist multiple times in retaliation, causing Jungwon to fall on his back in an effort to escape. Jay, however, takes the opportunity to hover over him, smiling down at him fondly. Jungwon laughs again, getting deja vu from when they were playfighting on Jay’s bed their first day here. The only difference is that back then, Jungwon would’ve never risked kissing him. Now though, he doesn’t think he could stop.
He snakes his arms around Jay’s neck and pulls him down for another kiss. He hums when the tip of Jay’s tongue meets his, deepening the kiss and connecting them in a way he would’ve never imagined. Jay’s hands caress both sides of his waist before sneaking just underneath the hem of Jungwon’s shirt, massaging small circles on his hips.
“Jay—Hyung, can you please—” he’s cut off as Jay’s mouth is suddenly on his again, kissing him soft and slow. Jungwon honestly forgot what he was going to say, his mind blanking as if Jay’s kisses were some kind of spell. His heart pounds in his chest and he feels hot all over, and the warmth between his legs is just begging for attention.
Jay trails his lips down his neck, gently sucking, and Jungwon has to hold back a moan, almost forgetting that they’re doing this all on a public beach. In the current moment, he doesn’t care, too turned on by Jay’s sweet kisses.
He scrunches up Jungwon’s shirt from the hem and pushes it up to his chin, kissing down his body. Jay kisses him like he’s a deity that he’s worshipping, or a piece of treasure that’s too valuable to let go. “What do you need from me?” Jay mumbles once he reaches his waistband, pressing a chaste kiss right above it.
It takes a moment for Jungwon to calm down and find his voice, “I need… I want you to take these off.” He gestures towards his shorts, teasing the button with his thumb.
Jay looks up with his puppy eyes, resting his chin on him, “…Are sure you want me too?”
“Yes, yes. I don’t even care where we are, I just need you to touch me.” Jungwon’s so desperate that he tangles his hands in Jay’s hair to bring his head lower. Jay groans from his harsh tug, seemingly enjoying being bossed around. Who would’ve thought.
Obediently Jay unbuttons Jungwon’s shorts and pulls them down, revealing his soaked black lace panties. His shorts are put off to the side, and before long Jay’s strong big hands spread his legs and caress up and down his inner thighs. “You’re so beautiful…”
Jungwon blushes, and wants to tell him to shut up and that this is nothing to gawk over, but that all flies out the window the moment he touches him through his panties. “And you’re already so wet.”
“S-Stop it,” he says, but doesn’t really mean it. Jay slowly massages his clit through the thin fabric, and it has Jungwon feeling close to heaven with how good he already feels.
He doesn’t know when or how their sweet, innocent kiss slowly turned into such… debauchery. And never in a million years would he think he’d be begging to be touched while in a public area where anyone could see.
Speaking of, his hand reaches to grab Jay’s shirt that had been hanging off the side of his bag, and throws it over Jay’s head to shield what they’re doing. Jay must’ve felt more comfortable with the shirt over his head, taking the opportunity to dive down and lick Jungwon through his underwear.
“Oh—” he tilts his head back, and bites harshly on his bottom lip. Jungwon almost loses it when Jay finally slide his panties to the side, spreading his lips with his fingers and licks a stripe up his wet pussy. His whole body shudders, completely responsive to the way Jay continues kissing and tasting every inch of him.
If he hadn’t reached his breaking point already, he sure does when Jay wets his fingers in his mouth before inserting his index inside him. His tongue finds its way back to his clit, flicking it side to side, and Jungwon gasps—overwhelmed with even more pleasure.
“Oh, god. Oh my god—” he just whispers over and over, arching his back when Jay penetrates with another finger. He increases his speed, curling his fingers in Jungwon’s throbbing cunt until he becomes undone. It’s been so long, but Jungwon swears that Jay is the best to ever do it. Maybe he’s saying this prematurely or because of his lust-riddled brain, but Jungwon swears that he might be in love.
Jay seems as though he’s in love with Jungwon’s body, catering to his every need and eating him out like it’s his last supper, even going as far as voicing to him, “You taste so good.” Jungwon envies whoever had him before, because after experiencing how skillful Jay is with his tongue and fingers, he’s sure as hell isn’t letting him go anytime soon. “Jay—fuck. I’m so close…” Again he tangles his fingers in Jay’s hair, forcing his head further into his pussy.
“Yeah? You gonna come for me?” Jay sweet talks to him, slowing down his pace and massaging Jungwon’s inner walls, curling his fingers once more. A moan accidentally escapes Jungwon’s mouth, and he tugs harder on Jay’s hair. In turn Jay groans against him, causing his whole body to vibrate.
His legs shake, but Jay comes up to kiss him breathless to calm him down. Meanwhile his fingers continue thrusting deep, slippery and warm, and eventually comes on Jay’s fingers and squirts all over the towel.
“Ha…” Jungwon attempts to laugh, kinda still not believing what just happened. He didn’t know he was capable of that. He deeply exhales, “Where… did you learn to do all that…Don’t do that to anyone else.”
Jay grins, licking up the come on his fingers. “Only for you, I promise.”
Jungwon stares at him for a moment, eventually sitting up to capture Jay’s lips with his own, kissing him softly.

“Look who finally decided to grace us with their presence,” Sunoo makes a big show as soon as Jay and Jungwon walk through the door. The rest of the group is gathered in the living room as well, "Did you two have fun ignoring us today?”
Jay bounces his eyebrows, “Oh, so much fun.”
Riki snorts, “Seriously, where have you guys been?”
“We accidentally got separated from you guys and by the time we looked, everyone was long gone. After that we just decided to do our thing,” Jungwon tells them, leaving out a few things, obviously. Their friends don’t exactly need to know how Jay ate him off the bone on a public beach. “No hard feelings.”
“Well, atleast you two seem to be getting along again. Now Sunoo here,” he pats Sunoo’s shoulders, “Can stop sulking.”
“I was not.”
The rest of the evening passes with them talking in the living room, their friends mostly catching Jay and Jungwon up on what they ‘missed out’ on, which is apparently just Sunoo and Jake getting scammed by some dude on the strip. After that a few of them decide to play cards, except for Jake and Jungwon who retire to their shared room to watch some Youtube videos instead.
After showering he and Jake get into their respective beds and pick a long form video to watch, some dating show about popping balloons. Halfway through, Jungwon’s phone lights up with a text from Jay. “Hey hyung… Jay hyung just said he was eliminated from whatever game they were playing downstairs. He said he already showered and asked if he could join us.”
“I don’t mind him behind here, just warn him that he’s gonna have to sit on the floor,” Jake looks away from the TV to smile at him, “I'm glad you two are getting along again… maybe a little too well. Just yesterday you guys were having a stand off and now today you’re joined at the hip. It’s just jarring you know?”
Jungwon quickly texts Jay back, “Well, when your friends lock you outside the house for like twenty minutes with nothing else to do, we had no choice but to make up.”
“Hey, blame Riki. It was initially his idea,” he laughs. “But what were you guys even beefing about anyway? You never said.”
Jungwon shrugs, “It was over a stupid misunderstanding, we squashed it, don’t worry too much about it.” Maybe he’ll tell Jake and the rest about it someday, but right now he wants to keep Jay all to himself. Them sneaking around like this just adds onto the thrill.
Immediately someone knocks on the door and it opens, revealing Jay who lets himself in. “Hey, guys.”
“Golly, you sure came quick.”
Jay narrows his eyes at Jake’s comment, “Not exactly what a guy wants to hear…”
“Jake hyung said you have to sit on the floor,” Jungwon jests.
“As if.” Jay jumps on Jungwon’s bed anyway and gets comfortable underneath the sheets. “So, what we watching?”
They resume the video, and once it ends after about an hour, it autoplays to another in the series. Jungwon had cuddled up next to Jay, his elbow thrown over his lap and rested his head against Jay’s chest. Jay’s arm was also secretly hugging around him, hidden beneath the sheets.
Jungwon glances over at Jake’s side of the room, quickly checking to see if he’s asleep, and judging by the soft snores coming from his bed, it’s safe to assume that he is.
“Hyung?” Jungwon whispers while looking up and shaking Jay’s knee. “Are you asleep?”
“…Nah, not yet,” Jay says despite yawning. “What about you? Feeling tired yet?”
“...Nope.” Jungwon snakes his arm to the top of Jay’s head and brings him down for a long kiss, already missing the feeling of his warm lips.
Jay reciprocates, at first, before gently holding his chin and breaks the kiss, “Wait, Wonie, Jake’s in here with us—”
“He’s asleep, we’ll be fine.”
“How can you tell?” They both look over at Jake’s bed, and almost his entire body is completely covered by a blanket save for his left arm that dangles off the bed. “He sleeps like a friggin vampire…” Jay comments while stroking Jungwon’s chin, “Let’s just go to my room.”
“And risk waking him up?” Jake’s not exactly a heavy sleeper, and the second they get up from this creaky bed, it’s wraps. “Besides, I’m too comfortable to get up now.”
“Are you now?” Jay teases and pecks his lips a few times. “Mm, you must really love kissing me, it’s all you’ve been doing on this trip.”
“It’s all your fault. You keep seducing me.”
“But you kissed me first, sweetheart.”
Jungwon’s stomach slips at the pet name, and rewards Jay with even more kisses. Kisses to his chin, cheeks, nose, and along the angle of his jawline. Jay moves his face just so Jungwon would finally kiss him on the lips again, soft and slow and careful enough to not wake the sleeping person in the room with them.
Jay mouths down his neck, Jungwon's favorite place to be kissed, as he's learned, and lightly grips his neck to angle his neck better to get more access. Jungwon breathes through his nose, constantly looking over at Jake’s side, just in case. He shifts his arm, and accidentally brushes against Jay’s boner, realizing he’s half hard. Why didn’t he say anything? Jungwon has a few tricks up his sleeve, too.
He traces Jay’s length through his pants, and almost immediately he feels him tense his legs. He doesn’t tell Jungwon to stop or anything like that, and uses it as the go ahead to continue. Gradually, Jay grows harder by the second, and at this point, Jungwon’s really curious how big he can get.
He gains the courage to dip his fingers beneath Jay’s waistband and take him out his pants, his mouth absolutely watering at the sight of his thick cock. It’s a perfect length too, it’s like Jay is his dream man that was perfectly crafted just for him. Jungwon thumbs his slit before giving him a few strokes, and behind him he hears Jay suck in a huge breath. “Jungwon, what are you—”
“Won’t you let me return the favor?” he says, “You were so generous with me earlier.”
“…I did that because I wanted to. You don’t owe me anything, you know that.”
“I know, but I want to.” Jungwon continues stroking him, falling a little in love with how much Jay is already squirming under his touch, “Please?”
“But Jake is—shit, nevermind,” Jay rapidly changes his mind as soon as Jungwon leans down and spits on his cock, before wrapping his lips around his tip. He sucks gently, then after a while hollows his cheeks to take in more of him. He uses both his hands to fist where his mouth can’t reach, and Jay sounds like he’s losing his damn mind based on the way he twitches inside Jungwon’s mouth.
Trusting Jay to look out for him while he sucks him off, Jungwon comes off him and kisses down his length. He kisses and sucks on one of his balls while playing with the other, and the pathetic sounds Jay makes when he does makes his pussy throb with want. “What are you doing to me…” he hears Jay moan quietly, “Fuck, shit, you can’t do this to me…”
Jungwon grins to himself, and decides to grant Jay mercy just this once. He sits up and flings an arm around Jay’s shoulders, kissing him slow and nice while jerking him off. Jay’s shaky breaths is enough to let him know that he’s close, so he doesn’t dare slow down his pace one bit.
His forehead falls to Jungwon’s shoulder, breathing exclusively from his mouth. Jungwon holds him closer and strokes him to completion, spurts of come spilling into his fist. Even after he orgasms Jungwon doesn’t stop, he wants to know just how committed Jay is to being quiet, he wants him to be a writhing mess because of him.
Jay ends up collapsing on his back against the pillows, sweaty and completely wiped out from Jungwon licking up his come and the overstimulation of it all. “You… are dangerous…” he breathes out.
Jungwon smiles sweetly as ever, neatly tucking Jay back in his pants. He checks on Jake, he’s still unmoving, then leans over Jay’s body for a quick kiss. “Stay here tonight?”
“…I don’t think I could leave even if I wanted to,” he mumbles with his eyes closed.
“Look who’s sleepy now,” Jungwon coos, running his thumb over Jay’s eyebrow. He grabs the TV remote to turn down the volume before laying his head to rest beside Jay, pulling the bed covers over them. "Goodnight, hyung,” Jungwon says, turning over to face the wall.
As he shuts his eyes, he feels Jay’s arm slowly hug around his waist, and he’s never been warmer.

The last day of their trip had arrived so quickly.
Jungwon owes Jeju everything, because if it weren’t for this trip he’d probably never acknowledged his feelings for Jay. So many changes have happened over the course of four days, from ignoring his attraction to one of his best friends to being eaten out on a public beach and giving a blowjob despite your other best friend being in the room, blissfully unaware of what went down. Even waking up together felt unreal, Jay kissed his forehead as good morning and they cuddled in bed for a while longer to enjoy the moment before Jake woke up.
Speaking of, Jungwon taps his arm while they are in the kitchen together making breakfast, “Hey, Jake hyung? Can you pass me the coke?”
“Cock?” he jumps for no reason, “Oh—you said coke. I don’t why I thought you said cock. Haha… ha.” Jake laughs nervously, eventually opening the fridge and giving Jungwon his drink. It was a slightly awkward exchange, Jungwon assumes he woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something.
“Okay, guys, it’s the last day of our trip—what are we doing tonight?” Sunoo asks from the living room couch, mid-bite of his sandwich.
“Group sleepover in the living room and we get drunk?” Sunghoon suggests.
“Exactly what I was thinking!”
The day was similar to yesterday’s plan, sightseeing, window shopping, and buying street food if it looked delicious enough. He and Jay never once separated, not exactly holding hands but close enough. Jungwon didn’t want to be too obvious that something’s changed between them, but it seems like they both couldn’t help but gravitate towards each other anyway.
While waiting for Sunoo outside a souvenir shop, just outside the entrance was an awareness group set up with a table full of health pamphlets and a jar full of free condoms. The cheerful attendant behind the table calls out to them, “Please, take as many as you need! One size fits all, don’t be shy!”
Amused, Jay accepts the handful from the lady, and out of nowhere Sunghoon comes and snatches a couple out of his hands, laughing obnoxiously. “I’ll be taking these instead—I know you won’t need it.”
Jay scoffs, “What makes you so sure?”
“Because, dude, you don’t need condoms when the only sex you have is with your hand,” he laughs again before high-fiving himself.
“Shut the hell up, go to hell.” Jay retorts but Sunghoon’s already walking away, probably to tell one of the others about his joke. Jungwon laughs too, not because he thinks what Sunghoon said is true but at the irony of it all. He would gladly replace Jay's hand if need be. He actually did, last night. “Even you’re laughing at me?”
“Not at you, I promise.” Jungwon’s eyes drift to where Sunghoon went, presumably to tell Jake and Riki about his joke. Riki doubles over in laughter, and so does Jake, but not as hard. Jake catches him staring, but quickly darts his eyes away. Huh.
Jungwon nudges Jay’s side, “It might be just me but I swear Jake hyung’s been acting so weird since this morning. You think he’s depressed that this is our last day here?”
“Maybe,” Jay shrugs his shoulders, then pauses, “Or hey… you don’t think he knows that we…”
“What? No. No, he was definitely asleep.”
“God, I hope you’re right,” Jay rubs his nape from the embarrassment, “But… I can’t say I regret it, though.” Jungwon blushes, getting flashbacks to when Jay was trying so hard to suppress his groans despite pushing Jungwon’s head down to take more of him. “And speaking of… we should probably talk about what we’re doing.”
Jungwon looks at him, “What do you mean?”
“I’m just saying that we should discuss what's next for us after we return back home. You and I…” he hesitates, “We aren’t ‘just friends’ anymore.”
It’s true, ‘friends’ don’t exactly confess to each other on the beach then lick each other’s privates in the same night. “I could tell you right now: as soon as we get back home you’re taking me on a date.”
“Straight to the point, I see,” Jay smiles, “And here I was thinking we should take it slow.”
“We could take it slow when it comes to sex—yesterday doesn’t count,” he quickly clarifies, “I mean, we’ve been friends for years, we practically know all there is to each other.”
“You’re right,” Jay nods. “I have this restaurant I’ve had my eye on for a while, I could take you there. You can plan an activity for us to do before we eat.”
Jungwon’s smile grows, “It’s a date.”
Sticking to the plans made earlier, the group bring blankets and pillows to the living room, blast music from the speaker, and pop a few bottles to celebrate their last night on the island. One minute Jungwon is pouring himself another shot, and in the next he’s rubbing his tired eyes and slowly sits up from the floor. Just when did he pass out?
Seems he wasn’t the only one, the entire group was seemed fast asleep, laying in what looks like extremely uncomfortable sleeping positions, but to each their own.
When Jungwon stretches he accidentally hits Jay beside him, in his face. “Whoops, I’m so sorry.”
“You’re good,” Jay reassures, rubbing his eye, and yawning. “Maybe it’s a sign that we should finally go to bed…”
Jungwon watches him slowly get up, “…Can I come with you?”
“Of course you can.” Jay extends his hand and helps Jungwon up. He’s led upstairs, careful not to wake the others in their path. They pass Jungwon’s room, and that’s when he realizes that Jay is taking him to his room instead. “Pick any side of the bed you want.”
Jungwon giggles, “Remember our first day here and you got so mad at me for laying in your bed?”
“You’re rewriting history, I wasn’t mad at you.” Jungwon climbs onto the bed, choosing to sleep on the right side and slipping underneath the covers. Jay takes the other side, and stares a little too long at the space between them. “Why are you so far away?”
“So you can crush me in my sleep?”
“I have a suspicious feeling that you might be into that.”
“Wanna find out?”
“Please don’t get me worked up… we already said that we’re taking things slow,” Jay groans while reaching for his arm, “Stop teasing me and just cuddle me already.”
“Big baby.” Jungwon gives in and lets Jay pull him closer. He throws an arm around Jay’s middle and Jay rests his chin above his head, “Better now?”
“Much better,” Jay nuzzles his face in his hair. “You’re so warm. And pretty.”
Jungwon blushes, “All of a sudden?”
“What, you like being called pretty?” Jay teases. “You always have been, obviously, but especially tonight. You didn’t even dress up or anything, but I took one look at you and oh my god. The thoughts swirling in my mind… that's when I knew it was time to put down the tequila.”
He giggles, “Oh really? Care to share?”
“Nuh uh. I’m not falling for that trap.” Jay tightens his hold around Jungwon. “You know it was your idea to take things slow, remember?”
“And we still are. It’s not my fault that you’re so down bad for me.”
“…Shut up.” Jay turns him around and brings him closer until Jungwon’s back presses comfortably against his chest. They lay together in silence, and Jungwon closes his eyes, he can't believe that any of this is real. Their relationship changed so dramatically in less than a week. Before this trip he was completely convinced that Jay didn’t share his feelings, but now he doesn't have to second guess a single thing when it comes to him.
Jungwon traces Jay’s arm with his nail, “Hey… hyung?”
“Hm?”
“…Thank you for being so patient with me. I truly am so grateful for you.”
“…Where’s this coming from?”
“I know I’m not the most ‘expressive’ when it comes to feelings, I tend to avoid thinking about certain things if things get tough. But on this trip, it was the first time I acted on impulse and it actually worked out in my favor. You have no idea how relieved I am that I don't have to deny my feelings for you anymore.” Jungwon sighs, “…I know it’s random, but I just wanted you to know that.”
Jay rubs his shoulder before kissing it. “It's an honor that you feel comfortable enough to share this with me. I’m grateful for you too, and we’ll work it out together, don’t worry. You make me so unbelievably happy, you don’t even know the half of it.”
Jungwon twists his head and gently holds Jay’s face, softly stroking his cheek before leaning up to kiss him on the lips. It’s slow and gentle, no need to rush and no point to prove. Their vacation may be coming to an end, but it’s also the beginning of something beautiful.
He turns around in Jay’s arms, never once breaking the kiss. His arms snake around Jay’s neck, and lazily throws his left leg over Jay’s hips, shifting himself closer. Jay's hands travel lower, spreading across Jungwon’s ass. Jay’s leg sits right under Jungwon’s cunt due to their position, and Jungwon can’t help but hump his knee, sighing in relief.
“This… isn’t taking it slow,” Jay huffs in between kisses.
“We—shit, aren’t having sex.”
“This is borderline sex,” so he says, but his actions clearly betray his words. He cups and squeezes Jungwon’s ass, helping him grind. Jungwon’s clit throbs from the pressure, already feeling himself get wet.
Fuck going slow, he can’t take it anymore, “I need it,” he demands, already pulling on Jay’s waistband, “Just the tip and nothing more, I promise.”
Jay pecks his lips and wastes no time shoving down his pants, Jungwon does the same with his own. The pile of condoms he received earlier sat right on the mini dresser beside the bed, Jungwon watches Jay pick one up, tear open the wrapper and swiftly put it on. Briefly, Jungwon wonders if the condom was even necessary, it was just the tip going inside, that’s it. That all escapes his mind when Jay comes between and splits his legs, sliding Jungwon’s soaked panties to the side and inserting his finger. Jungwon watches closely as Jay fingers him open, precum already dripping. Soon, Jay pulls out, and gently strokes himself before pressing the head of his cock to Jungwon’s hole.
The intense pressure was immediate, but Jungwon didn’t let it show. He breathes through his mouth, leaning his head a bit to glance down at it inside him. His hand reaches to massage his clit, moaning at how sensitive it is. He feels so full already yet this isn't even a full penetration. Meanwhile, Jay hovers above, his arms on either side of Jungwon’s head, caging him in between. His eyebrows are deeply furrowed and his eyes are tightly shut, as if he’s concentrating deeply.
Jungwon taps his elbow, “Are you doing okay?”
“Me? Oh, yeah, yeah. I’m just… hanging in there.”
“Are you sure?” Jungwon muses, “Why do you look so pained, then?”
“Forgive me, I’m desperately trying to… hold back.”
Jungwon snorts, “And that means?”
“To put it simply? I really, really want to fuck the shit out of you.”
He clenches around Jay after hearing that, making the other man groan loudly and collapse on top of him, accidentally pushing in more than just the tip. “Holy…” Jungwon openly sighs, his walls feeling every inch of Jay penetrating deeper. He was a fool for ever suggesting that they should take it slow, this feels amazing.
“Wait, wait,” Jay whispers before pulling out. For a split second Jungwon mourns the loss of his cock but is rejuvenated when he peels off his panties as well as the rest of their clothes, discarding them to the side.
Before anything else, Jungwon grabs his wrist, “Do you… have to use the condom?”
Jay smirks at his request, “You don’t want it?”
“No,” he answers maybe too quickly, but he’s too dickmatized to care. He reaches to thumb his slit, “Please. I want to feel you.”
“Whatever you want,” Jay complies, and tugs the condom off, putting it to the side. Jay maneuvers his body into a better position on his back, and Jungwon licks his lips in anticipation waiting for Jay to enter him again. When he does, it feels even warmer and more sensitive than before. Jungwon’s breath shakes, gripping the sheets with how much Jay is stretching him out.
“Are you doing alright so far, Wonie?” Jay checks in.
“Yes—” he moans, wrapping his arms and legs around Jay to force him closer, “Please, just fuck me already—”
The wind is knocked out of his throat because as soon as those words left his mouth, he whimpers, feeling every deep thrust that Jungwon swears it poked his belly. Jay easily slides in and out his slick cunt, feeling every squelch and clench as he dragged along Jungwon’s walls.
“Jay… hyung… fu—Jay,” he chants his name as Jay fucks him into the mattress, pace so fast that it causes the headboard to repeatedly bang against the wall. Neither of them cared about how much noise they were making, all that mattered was that they shared one body and were desperate for a release.
“You’re so perfect,” Jay leans down to whisper against his lips before kissing him, “So perfect for me. Like you were meant just for me.”
Before Jungwon could say anything crazy like an I love you, Jay pulls out again and flips him on his stomach. He lifts Jungwon by his hips and massages his butt before spanking him, making Jungwon whine and clench around nothing. He gasps when he feels Jay’s tongue lick his wet folds, as well as flicking in and out of his hole. Jungwon would’ve certainly collapsed down on the bed if it weren’t for Jay holding him firmly in place while he squirms.
Jay reaches over and grabs Jungwon’s arms, crossing them behind his back. Jungwon wiggles his ass in the air waiting for him, moaning into the mattress when he roughly thrusts inside again and again. The sound of their skin slapping fills the air, mixed with the creakiness of the bed and joint moans.
Jay kneels on one leg while the other props next to Jungwon, somehow burying himself deeper. Jay reaches and mimics the way Jungwon likes tugging on his hair, leading Jungwon to discover something new about himself. The intense pleasure was unlike anything he’s ever felt before, his whole body shudders as Jay fucks him through his orgasm.
He heavily pants, now understanding what it feels like to be overstimulated as Jay quickens his pace to reach his climax. Jungwon bites down on the sheets, tears pooling in the corners of his eyes, until eventually Jay finishes inside him.
Legs finally giving out, Jungwon collapses with Jay still in him, huffing as he comes down from his high. He feels every bit of Jay’s come trickling inside, fucking raw for their first time has to be his best idea yet.
Jay pulls out for the last time, panting and sweating from the work he just put in. He lays down beside Jungwon, probably too tired to do anything else.
“Jungwon…” Jay breathes his name, “I think I love you.”
Jungwon attempts to laugh, and turns around to kiss him. “I think I love you, too.”
