Hello!
I am honored to be able to participate in Kurofai Olympics this year! It's wonderful to be part of an event so full of love and care for these two.
While I was making this piece, I thought about how their lives have been brought together by the "false prophecy" they face in canon, and how their paths have been manipulated by Fei Wang Reed since they were young. This is especially true for Fai, so I wanted to make him feel more unsettling and wistful in his expressions. Kurogane, on the other hand, is more serious and tries to keep hold of Fai. I chose their outfits from Celes because it is such an important arc to their relationship, and to me, truly embodies this year's theme of "Sacrifice vs Preservation."
I enjoyed working on this greatly, and hope I was able to capture the meaning of the prompt "False Prophet"!
