Work Text:

This is an old fic I never published because it was cringe and I don't know how to write romance. So here it is, unchanged from when I originally wrote it in October of last year.

BuilderBlox because we love old men yaoi :D

In my AU of the way Robloxia formed, there was nothing until a faint line of code appeared. That faint line of code became a person, the first Robloxian, Builderman. Robloxia rose from him. Though people like Roblox and Telamon formed on their own, completely unrelated to Builderman. I like to think that the Universe got bored and decided to spice up the world with new people. That's how all the admins formed, just at different times.

Anyways, onto the story- also Roblox isn't a robot in my AU.

Builderman rested his head on his desk, trying to ease the headache that he'd had for a few hours. It'd been a month since they escaped the Forsaken Realm, but he still felt the effects of it even now. The PTSD, the scars, the phantom pain. It was horrible, but at least he had his son back- John Doe. Jane was especially happy to see John back to normal- even with an amputated arm. Everyone had something wrong with them from that damn place.

Guest faints sometimes, Shedletsky has breathing issues from the way he was stabbed so many times(yes, it was 1x)- his wings are still growing back as well, Chance has muscle damage from his gun blowing up so many times, and Two Time(still recovering from the cult) can't get themself to eat sometimes from the guilt. That was just the sentinels. 007n7 gets major headaches from his attempt, Noob's arm is still healing from it being severely broken when they were trying to escape, Dusekkar's magic was severely hindered so he has to relearn all his spells (which he is overworking himself to do), Taph's wings were ripped off like Shedletsky's(so they have to regrow as well), Builderman had phantom pains from being murdered repeatedly, and Elliot- he's the worst. Elliot was the one personally being tortured by the Spectre. He has constant aches and the phantom feelings of still having those restraints on.

"I hate these damn pains... You're not there anymore..." Builderman mumbled to himself, reaching for the headache medicine and water bottle to ease the migraine. He took two of the pills and swallowed them with the water. "All the Robloxians were worried while we were missin'... 5 years... It felt so short in that realm..." Builderman rested his face on his hands.

He hadn't noticed Roblox walking in.

"Heya, Buildzy..." Roblox said quietly, he could tell Builderman had a headache again. "You alright in here? It's already 8 PM and I haven't seen you come out of your office since lunch." His voice held a tone of care, yet he knew Builderman would likely dismiss the pain and say that he could still work with a headache. Roblox knew he was bluffing every time.

Builderman looked up, his voice showing his exhaustion. "I'm fine, Blox... Just a small headache, nothing too bad." Builderman hoped his lie would pass Roblox's ability to read people like an open book. It didn't.

"I'm not that stupid." Roblox said bluntly before walking over and sitting in the chair in front of Builderman's desk. "I'll go get us some dinner. What's your favourite place to get food at?" Roblox offered, he wasn't letting Builderman go without food again. They hadn't needed to eat in the Forsaken realm, so now all the survivors often forgot to eat.

"Blox, it's alright. I can go make myself some food-" Builderman tried saying, but was swiftly cut off by Roblox.

"Nope. Before y'all went missing, I remember your favourite place was Robloxian Diner. Your comfort food was the fries and chicken tenders." Roblox remembered. He had loved Builderman from before they'd all been kidnapped by the Spectre, so he'd made a mental note of everything about Builderman. "Come on, we're going to get you some food." Roblox went around the desk and grabbed Builderman's hand gently, pulling him up.

Builderman tried protesting, but was shut up the moment Roblox held him up by his waist. He felt a faint blush creep up his gray face from the way Roblox was holding him so gently. "Fine... We can go..." He grumbled.

Roblox was pleased that Builderman finally let him take care of him. "Thank you." Roblox let go of him and held Builderman's hand as they walked. He was completely aware of how Builderman's face was slightly pink, but simply playing oblivious.

"How have the people been doing since we got back? I haven't been keeping up with everything." Builderman grumbled as they walked through the empty halls of the Robloxia HQ. It was far too late for many people to be working right now. Maybe Dusekkar or Shedletsky were right now though.

Roblox hummed with thought, exiting the building and going to his car(it's green, hopefully he doesn't run over Broken Spawn). "They've been... Surprised. That was quite a story y'all had. Trapped in a death loop with people y'all knew. Doombringer and 1x1x1x1 especially..." Roblox grumbled with distaste for the names.

Builderman noticed his attitude towards those two and pinched his shoulder as they sat down- Roblox in the driver's seat and Builderman in the passenger's seat(Builderman can't drive for shit). "They've been getting better along with the other killers. They were influenced by the Spectre to do what they did..." He mumbled, his voice growing slightly more tired as they drove to the diner. "Can you just go in and get it for takeout...? I'm tired..."

"Sure, love." Roblox said without realizing what nickname he used as he pulled into the diner's parking lot. "Don't fall asleep on me now." He remarked with a chuckle before getting out of the car.

Builderman felt lucky that Roblox had left the car because he knew his face was red. "Damnit, damnit, damnit... In all my thousands of years no one has ever made me feel like this... And now Roblox starts taking care of me and I feel all... flustered? Is that what Robloxians say?" He grumbled.

It felt like forever until Roblox finally got back from getting the food. He had a bag with a styrofoam box in it- the box having the food. "Hope you didn't miss me too much." He joked as he got into the driver's seat.

"Shut up..." Builderman hesitated on saying anything else, afraid it'd reveal his emotions towards Roblox.

"You're so obvious, Buildzy." Roblox chuckled. "But I'll wait to say more until we get to your house." Roblox ruffled Builderman's hair and started driving.

The ride to Builderman's house was almost silent, aside from the quiet sound of the radio on low volume. It was the story on how they all went missing.

Builderman turned the volume all the way down.

He didn't want to remember.

They soon made it to Builderman's place, a modest house with 2 bedrooms. Builderman made one into an office for when he's supposed to be resting but wants to work.

Roblox and Builderman got out of the car and walked over to the front door. Builderman quickly unlocked it and let Roblox in.

"Still the same old place from before. You never do change, do ya, Buildzy?" Roblox jested with a pat on Builderman's shoulder.

"It's comforting being in a familiar place after being gone..." Builderman responded quietly, sitting down at the table as Roblox put the food on the table.

(I'm too lazy to make a dinner scene, so let's just say Roblox cleaned up the kitchen for Builderman since Builderman had been too tired to clean it lately while Builderman ate)

"I guess I should explain what I meant earlier, huh?" Roblox said as he stood in front of Builderman. He was a good 8 inches taller than Builderman- standing at 6'9(shush, that's what they're doing later) while Builderman was 6'1.

"That would be appreciated." Builderman mumbled, feeling tiny from the height difference. "I know you're bad at words, so you can show it if you want..." Little did Builderman know he'd both regret and love that he said that.

Roblox bent down to look Builderman in the eyes. "Are you sure?" His face was quite close to Builderman's now.

"Are you gonna... kiss me?" Builderman asked hesitantly. "Because I wouldn't mind it." He added.

Roblox happily took that as his chance and pulled Builderman into a kiss. It was short and sweet, but everything Builderman had wanted.

Notes:

Should I finish this fic?
