    What began with a cup of coffee quickly becomes the one constant Intern can rely on during the long, exhausting hours at Animal Hospital.

    Barney always comes back.

    He listens. He remembers the little things. He makes the unbearable shifts feel almost comfortable.

    For a while, things are simple.

    But there's something strange about the hospital.

    Patients disappear. Strange things happen behind closed doors. People seem to know more than they're willing to say, and Intern can't shake the feeling that there's something deeply wrong with the place he's chosen to work.

    As Intern grows closer to Barney, he finds himself drawn deeper into the hospital's secrets and increasingly unsure of who he can trust.

    Maybe finding out the truth will explain everything.

    Or maybe some things are better left unknown.
