“I swear on my life that I didn't eat your cookies, March! I swear on all the Aeons’ lives!”
That familiar voice echoes through Nihilux's head. Little raccoon, Akvili, Trailblazer, Stelle, Baseball Raccoon etc… Whatever the universe wants to call her! Seriously, the little raccoon has far too many names.
That was the 7th time today that Nihilux has heard that voice and has had THEIR life put on the line by the little raccoon. Perhaps the millionth time since the beginning of her existence. Honestly, it's a miracle THEY aren't dead yet!
Technically, Nihilux shouldn't tune into the little raccoon's conversations (which THEY totally never do) but THEY can't help but sneak a peak whenever THEY are mentioned.
“Stelle, I know you're lying! I've been saving those cookies from the Luofu!”
“I just wanted to let Sunny try one!"
“Now you're dragging Sunday into this?!”
Nihilux chuckles in amusement. Almost every day there is a situation similar to this, yet March Bunny seems quite angry this time. “Sounds like the little raccoon has gotten herself into quite the situation. Oh! What if I make a chapter about the little raccoon becoming the Voracity, eating all of March Bunny's cookies!?”
Of course, Nihilux is the Aeon of Elation but THEY still need to find new content to make a living! Besides, seeing the little raccoon in such a pickle is a very amusing sight. THEY are sure THEIR readers will love it too.
But THEIR comics aren’t simply just for the readers, it’s THEIR way of keeping an eye on Akivili, documenting their journey so no deed goes unnoticed. It’s basically a selfish dream turned into profit.
Nihilux still remembers the stories the original Aha told THEM of THEIR tales as a Nameless. Stories of various planets, stories of heroic deeds…
Stories of THEIR relationship with Akvili.
Such as mischievous acts of having a sword fight with Haider brooms, proceeding to break them, and 'accidentally’ hitting the conductor in the head with a fly-away piece. Shrieking from laughter and fear as the conductor angrily chased THEM through the carriages with said piece.
Or the softer moments where THEY would sit on top of the express in THEIR mortal forms, legs dangling, drinks half-drunk, heads on shoulders. Sometimes THEY would talk, sometimes THEY would just enjoy each other's company (one more than the other).
Even after Aha left the express, cackling brightly from blowing up half the carriages, THEY remained very close.
But THEIR relationship never developed, and never got a chance to.
Whether it was because of uncertainty between what a relationship between Aeons would bring, or a fear of rejection, it didn’t matter once corruption from the Voracity seized Aha, sending THEM to madness, replacing THEM with Nihilux.
The original Aha entrusted THEM to create a story where the line between fiction and reality is indecipherable, to conceal the line between THEM and Nihilux. It has left THEM with hundreds of stories where THEY started confusing them as THEIR memories, leaving them drawn to Akivili or, in this case, the little raccoon.
“I wonder when we will meet, Akivili?” Nihilux ponders, smiling. THEY find her every action fascinating, her character intriguing, her humour.. well Nihilux can fix it, it's excusable as the little raccoon is only 2 years old.
THEY cannot wait until the next time the little raccoon swears upon THEIR name.
