The two of us are silent for a time, after listening to Lygus’ note. It’s like a letter to his creation, to the Scepter contained within Amphoreus, a loving father or a devoted servant bestowing a gift upon their child/master.
But there’s also the knowledge that despite us failing, and Phainon falling into Irontomb, Cyrene’s plan is still progressing. Without Mem, it’s just Stelle, Bubbles, Pollux and I against a Lord Ravager. We may have the other Chrysos Heirs on our side, assuming we can gather those who are presently alive, but with my existence in Amphoreus’ narrative being questionable at best, our only in is this cycle’s Cyrene.
Stelle looks at me, question dancing on the tip of her tongue. “Shall we go speak with her?”
I nod, already standing up. “We need to figure out what’s next.”
“Then let’s go, Cas.”

My take on an alternative timeline where there was no Fuli, no Terminus, and hence no Stellaron Hunters. Mixed with a bit of DanStelle on the side (not the main focus of the story, but there are moments).
