“Doctor, I need ten – no, twenty – CCs of kisses, stat!”
Doctor Asha rushes into the room. “Doctor Keller, you should know that kisses aren't delivered in that metho-” Fig cuts him off as she swoops in and presses her mouth to his. She can smell his signature scent – a combination of beard oil and antiseptic – as they kiss and she sighs dreamily. Her mom would be livid to know she’s been making out with this adult man, but that makes it all the more exciting and Fig runs her hands up and down Doctor Asha’s chiseled body.
“Thank you, Doctor. You delivered the life-saving medicine just in time!” gasps Fig once the kiss is done.
Doctor Asha’s eyes twinkle. “Anything to save a patient.”
“My hero.”
Somewhere in the back of her rebellious mind, however, Fig screams that this is all wrong. This is a grown man and she’s fourteen. She’s pretending to be someone she’s not and every time she comes to this hospital disguised as Doctor Keller she gets called away for some emergency which she has to find some way of dodging.
The intercom crackles overhead. “Doctor Keller, you’re needed in pediatrics.”
Fig groans; the life of a fake doctor is a busy one.
“I’ll need a prescription for more kisses.” It comes out as a whine.
“You know my pharmacy is open any time,” he replies, grinning and planting a kiss on her cheek. Fig lingers in the doorway, hating how brief their make-out time is, but the intercom pages her again.
“Go. You’re needed,” says the real doctor, and Fig drags herself out into the hallway and sheds her disguise before anyone catches Doctor Keller.
“But I need you…” she whispers, hugging herself as she hurries to the lobby. She’s fourteen and needs an escape.
