Over the years, many people (including their close friend, Councilwoman Mel Merdada) have speculated that the co-founders of Hextech, Viktor, and Jayce Talis have been hiding a romantic relationship.
It is common knowledge amongst the public that Viktor is out as gay, and Jayce is bisexual. As such, several “Just kiss already!” campaigns (that were mainly intended as lighthearted jokes) have been launched over the past three years. Viktor has reportedly stuck several of these posters to the walls in their lab. Despite this, both men continue to deny that the term of endearment “partner” means anything except “partners in science” between them.
That has not stopped the rumour mill; nothing ever does. And people continue to speculate.
Recently, however, a new “rumour” has spread within Piltover.
It is also well known that Jayce Talis is trans ftm. He has spoken openly about his experiences growing up trans within mainly conservatives circles, and how he wishes to talk about his experiences to ensure a better future for those who come after him.
His “partner”, Viktor, has been shown to be incredibly supportive of his identity, the famous “two sides of supporting trans rights” meme being born from two photos of him. One shows him painting the trans flag on his partner’s left cheek before the city pride parade, the photo having been taken by their assistant and close friend, Sky Young. The second is a still frame of security footage from the Progress Day after party, by far the more famous of the photos, being of him whacking an investor with his cane for making a transphobic comment towards Jayce - talk about a protective boyfriend.
To make the matter even funnier, he would go on to say in an interview: “The assault charges were worth it. I honestly wish Jayce hadn’t stopped me, I could’ve knocked him out.”
Ezra Fletcher, trans rights activist, fellow trans man and childhood friend of Jayce Talis, made the following statements in a recent interview, when addressing the impact of the meme within trans positivity spaces. He started the whole ordeal by addressing his stance on the rumours circulating about their supposed romantic relationship:
“…and obviously it’s possible to just be friends with queer people you could potentially date, but this is not one of those instances. Those two are fucking.”
Later in the interview, he would go on to say:
“If I had the access to all the equipment and knowledge they had, I’d have built myself a dick long ago. The best the world has ever seen.”
And that left people to wonder: had it already been done?
The theory spread like wildfire, and while there is absolutely no proof it exists, people have begun discussing what they think a Hextech-powered strap-on could do, how it would work, and what it would look like.
It is well known that all the Hextech inventions that are named by Viktor end up having the prefix “Hex”, such as the famous and recently finished “Hexgates”. Therefore, it is only natural to assume the fated invention would be called the “Hexstrap”.
Ezra would later go on to comment about the rumours he’d started:
”This is by far the funniest thing to ever come out of one of my interviews, and I hope Jayce and Viktor laughed just as hard as I did when I heard about this. If ever they do invent one, I want full credit, and a personal thank-you letter for all the hot sex they get to have with it.”
The founders of Hextech have yet to comment on the situation.
