Chapter Text

The moon rose, wide and full, over the Cursed Apple. For the pair embracing in the darkened tenement, it may as well have been an eclipse.

Not that either of them minded.

Pain flared up Vyper’s back as Silver slammed her against the wall. She broke their kiss, briefly, groaning, until the werewolf dragged her back down.

Vyper was being pressed down, imprisoned under the werewolf’s body, held tight in the gap between the floor cabinets. Her tail lashed and curled under her, clenching on Silver’s calf and scattering small debris.

Her hands were full of Silver: Silver’s body, Silver’s muscles, Silver’s damp fur and matted hair. Her lungs were full of Silver’s breath, rank with old booze and old grudges and fresh blood. Silver’s fingers and claws dug into her hips, squeezing down, bringing them closer together. Whenever Silver exhaled, she inhaled, drinking deep of the bounty hunter’s ragged life.

Her mouth wasn’t being left out, either. Silver was doing her best to bury her tongue down the Gorgon’s throat. On that front, Vyper was happy to say, her own tongue was giving Silver a good fight.

God, it was almost too perfect. The Gorgon was long, dextrous, slippery, nimble; the werewolf was wide, flat, but with these just incredible ridges and sticky pads—taste buds? Werewolf taste buds? Whatever they were, they were tailor-made for her mouth’s most sensitive parts. And she was so strong. It didn’t matter how she moved; Silver shoved her into place, made her work for every inch, every taste.

Vyper had no idea it could feel so good to lose a battle.

Then again, sometimes it was better to open another front. Getting tongued by a wolf was one thing, hypoxia was another. There was a ritual tomorrow.

Balancing on one claw, she slowly braced her thigh against Silver’s crotch. She’d have to be careful—wouldn’t want to damage anything, just give her the right kind of kick…

Yes, there they were. She’d judged the distance just right. A pouch of soft fur, oh so warm, oh so pliable, oh so sensitive. Getting heavier. Vyper dragged her thigh upwards, carrying the pouch with her, and Silver’s whole body stiffened when it trailed over her tough scales.

Something raw and hot vibrated through the werewolf’s body. It wasn’t an angry sound, but it wasn’t satisfied either. Vyper had never heard her make a sound like that, not in years of conflicts and contests up and down the country.

She wanted to hear it again.

There was a subtle signal, almost unconscious, and the kiss broke, both women gasping for breath. Silver loomed over her. In the dark, she was almost invisible. Only her eyes shone out, dilated into little eclipses all their own, yellow turning red turning orange turning gold.

“My, my,” those eyes said. “You know exactly what I want.”

Silver’s voice was quiet and low, even-toned. A predator’s voice. A hunter’s voice. A voice designed to make Vyper’s lower body ache and tremble.

Vyper laughed, breathlessly. “There’s two of us here, don’t forget.” Her claw slipped off Silver’s shoulder and trailed down her sternum, dancing off the ridged scars adorning her body. “I needed to hear you.”

“Hear me what?” she murmured, half-purr, half-growl.

A thumb dug into a spot four inches to the left of Vyper’s cloaca, where hard dorsal scales gave way to soft, pliable ventral. She almost fainted.

“This,” she hissed. Her claw skipped across the werewolf’s abdomen—God, she’d have to come back to that—and planted itself on the turgid heat swelling in her core.

Vyper’s eyes, narrowed in the face of adversity, shot wide open. Silver was blazing hot.

Shit!”

Silver lurched forward, so quickly and with such force that she almost collapsed over Vyper, who found herself slammed back against the wall yet again. Instinct kicked in. She grasped at every available surface, seeking tighter purchase. It was accident—pure, honest accident—that the available surfaces included Silver’s cock.

The noise that emanated from the werewolf at that moment was unexpected, unknown to the Gorgon, and shocking.

A high-pitched whine, like a wounded dog. But it wasn’t pain. Vyper knew what Silver sounded like in pain.

Vyper, please.

It was pleading. Silver was pleading with her.

Instinct again intervened. Vyper’s grip on Silver’s cock slackened. She felt a wave of tension roll from the werewolf’s body, and she sighed in a voice so spent and relieved Vyper felt herself blushing. Not that she could blush much.

Part of her was catching on to what had happened. It was too bad it didn’t include her mouth. It opened up anyway.

“Quick shot, eh?”

Those glowing eyes narrowed.

“Maaaybe not?”

“Low blow, V,” Silver growled. (Vyper chose not to push that.) “She’s sensitive. She doesn’t like that.”

“Ooh, how sensitive?”

Silver’s breath hitched. A single finger traced along her still-unbelievably-warm length. Her hips flexed again, and the whine this time was more controlled, but only just. “I’m serious, Vyper…”

Vyper snickered. “What, she doesn’t like a bad girl touching her?” She shifted her posture, gripping Silver’s thighs with her knees, and angling back so that her shoulder blades braced against the tenement wall. “You worried I’ll break her?”

“Do that again,” she warned, her voice a quiet drawl, “and it won’t matter that we’ve got a ritual tomorrow.”

Her fingers rolled on the Gorgon’s waist.

An electric thrill raced up Vyper’s middle, filling her heart with air.

“Do it again?” she whispered. “Well that’s just silly, Sil. Silly Sil. I wouldn’t do that again.” She made a show of pouting loudly, tilting her head in a way that Silver would follow. “It’s like you don’t even know me.”

Silver laughed sharply, leaving in its wake a very pregnant pause. When she spoke again, her hunter’s voice had returned. “Are you gonna be good for me now?”

Her grip tightened, just a little.

“You know,” Vyper breathed, “I kinda want to, when you talk like that.” That was the truth. Oh Lord, that was the truth. Be still my achin’ heart for just a little bit longer…

“Then why don’t you?” the werewolf murmured. Her smell was building. Alcohol and sweat, and arousal, sweet and sticky like a Vermont autumn.

The Gorgon’s tongue licked out, scenting the air, and came back coated in her. Oh, how she wanted to stick that tongue down inside her, get every drop of that sweet sap steaming off her in heady waves.

Oh, sweet Silver. She should know better, Vyper thought.

In the dark, she repositioned her claws.

Never tell a thief the trick to your lock.

“L-look,” Vyper stammered. Her flagging courage sputtered briefly to life. A wide, toothy grin spread invisibly across her face. “Just because I said I wouldn’t do that again—”

Silver’s hooded eyes flared back to full brilliance.

Vyper’s claws swept down, briefly brushing the hands Silver had lifted from her hips in a desperate interception attempt, and clamped around the werewolf’s twitching member.

Silver made a sound between a whine and a moan, ascending rapidly, cut off by a desperate gasp for air.

Bingo.

Silver seized Vyper under her armpits, eyes aglow with rage. “What did I just—oh fuck—”

The eyes flickered rapidly. The Gorgon was stroking her, hand over hand.

“V, I’m warning you—” she snarled, just before Vyper took her in both claws and gave her a tight pump. Whatever the warning was, it fell apart in a shower of whimpering moans. Her eyes flashed in and out of sight, her head bobbing as she bent double.

“There we go,” Vyper grinned. “Seems like she likes me after all!”

“Fuck—V—oh God—”

Her fingers clenched and relaxed at Vyper’s sides, keeping time with every pass those claws made over her length. She was leaking now too, bless her, and her hips were shaking with the effort of suppressing the urge to rut into her disobedient partner. Vyper tickled the tapered head of her cock and Silver gasped, limbs trembling.

“Keep making those pretty sounds, Lilah,” Vyper giggled. “Howl for me, yeah?”

“F—” Silver struggled to form words. God her fingers were strong—”Fuck you, V—fuck fuck fuck—

Vyper leaned forward, balancing entirely on Silver’s trembling thighs and the tail she’d wrapped around her leg. Her claws paused briefly, for just a moment, and then squeezed, forcing another whine from Silver’s lips. She changed her own grip, curling her hands around the Gorgon’s shoulders, fingertips digging into her collarbone.

Her smell was everywhere. Vyper ran her tongue over Silver’s breasts, tasting the salt and the tang. Her heart was hammering against her ribs, looking for a way out. Her claws were soaked and weak, blindly moving, stroking for all she had.

This close, she could hear the whine building inside the werewolf. She was so close it was pathetic.

“Howl for me,” she whispered, her snout pressed against Silver’s wolfy ear. “Like a good dog.

The whine escaped in a single, long note, dancing up the chord with raw heat, hollowing out as her lips curled around it. Her hips bucked, all restraint abandoned.

Silver throbbed and pulsed in her claws, thrusting through them in a frenzy. Hot, thick fluid spilled over her belly, spraying up to her chest and dripping down to tease at her aching entrance.

Vyper kept squeezing and stroking until Silver’s rut burnt itself out in the open air. There was…a lot more than she thought there would be.

The darkness seemed to regain definition around them. The pair were still locked in an embrace, still standing, barely, through Silver’s heroic effort. The air was cooling, but sweat still curled off the bounty hunter’s body in gentle wisps.

Vyper waited until the shaking had stopped—in her own body as well as Silver’s—before she spoke.

“Now didn’t that feel nice?” Vyper cooed. “Seems like your piece and I get along just fine.” Fumbling briefly in the dark, she slipped two fingers into Silver’s mouth. “Here you go, Sil. Clean these for me, would you?”

Soft lips closed around her claws. Silver’s tongue explored their contours and ridges, tasting herself on the Gorgon’s scales. Her lips pursed, coaxing Vyper deeper, questing for more.

She started to hum, low and satisfied. Her glowing eyes blinked and closed.

Thoughtfully, Vyper brought her other hand to her mouth. A faint odor, beneath the sweat and arousal, reached her.

Her breath caught. Her tongue licked out.

Suddenly Silver’s hands were on her arms. Before she could move or speak, they were slammed into the wall above her, knocking some dust loose from the cabinet above. Vyper wriggled, trying to break free, but the woman had her in an iron grip.

“Hey! What gives—” Vyper flicked her eyes in Silver’s direction.

She was glaring at her.

“Hey, Lilah,” Vyper chuckled nervously. “Now that, y’know, I helped you out, maybe you can—?”

Silver moved one hand down, the other still holding the Gorgon’s arms over her head, and pulled her closer by her rump. “Get comfortable, V,” she growled. “She’s all going in.”

Briefly, Vyper thought about pointing out it was going to be difficult getting comfortable in this position, especially with her arms still pinned. The feeling of Silver’s shaft sliding down her cloaca interrupted that notion.

She was, if anything, hotter than before, and still soaked in her own release. Every little vein and indentation made Vyper ache and twitch as it passed. And there was something else, just above the soft fur on her balls. Rounded. Much thicker.

“Oh my God,” Vyper breathed.

Silver moved her hand back to its restraining position above Vyper’s head. “Get your legs around me.”

“Sil, I—”

“You’ll get your hands back,” she told her, her voice raw and rough. “Once I’m nice and deep.” The Gorgon’s heart skipped a beat.

This wasn’t her hunter’s voice. It was her werewolf voice.

Vyper felt her hips draw back.

“Wait!”

Silver jerked to a stop, precariously paused an inch from entering her. Vyper could feel the heat radiating off her. “Speak.

Oh, that did something to her.

“Look,” she said, forcing out the words. “Don’t go wolfing out now, o-okay? I’m not—I just—”

Vyper imagined she could hear the werewolf’s lips curling in a fanged smile. Silver chuckled.

“Oh, don’t worry, V,” she murmured. “I ain’t gonna turn on you…right now.

Vyper’s whole body stiffened.

I deserve that. Wicked woman.

That was her last coherent thought for a while.

All the rest were scattered as Silver pressed in and spread her trembling hole wide.

Vyper knew what her limits were. She knew what Silver was working with. At least, she’d thought she knew.

She’d expected the heat. She’d expected the girth. She’d expected the tapered head, and the steady flare, thickening all the way to the base, like a wedge driving inside her, teaching her that her limits were beyond anything she’d felt before.

She was in no way ready for all three, or for what Silver did while she fucked into her.

The werewolf bent down, eyes flaring like full moons, and sank her teeth into her throat.

Vyper made a sound like a gurgling hiss, and all strength left her legs. Instantly, she was sliding down, impaling herself on Silver’s cock. That was—oh God—

As if from far away, she felt the grip on her arms slacken. She draped them around Silver’s neck, desperate to arrest her descent. Her claws dug into her matted hair, and she buried her snout into the nape of her neck, taking deep, shuddering breaths.

Her heart was going about a hundred miles an hour.

It’s okay, she thought. You can handle it. You can handle it. Just be gentle, oh so gentle, oh God please

Strong fingers worked around her hips.

“I liked that hiss,” Silver purred. Her fingers clenched down, and Vyper felt her withdraw, inch by inch. Or was she lifting the Gorgon off herself? It was hard to tell, with every nerve in her body concentrated around her hole.

The emptiness left behind was, unbelievably, almost worse than what it replaced.

Despite her current state, Vyper managed to stammer something out. “Y—you want to hear it again?”

Silver took a breath. Slight, small. Vyper heard it almost in her ear.

Her legs stirred to life, scrambling for purchase—How long had Silver been holding her like this anyway?—and she drew herself up enough to make eye contact once more. “Too bad you…you can’t see me in this dark. Bet I look something fierce…”

“Oh, I don’t need to,” Silver said. She winked, one iris flickering out. “I can smell you.” As if Vyper needed a demonstration, she performed a deep inhaling breath; when her eyes opened, her pupils were just a little more blown.

Between her calves, Vyper felt her tail start to wag.

“Fuck, V…”

Something in her tone set off an alarm in Vyper’s head. It was a little too rough, a little too eager.

She stammered. “H-hey now, Lilah—”

Silver wasn’t listening. She was growling again. Vyper’s heart beat even faster somehow.

Silver shifted her grip to Vyper’s waist. Her breathing was more ragged; she was almost panting.

There was something flickering in her eyes. Deep within the blackness of her pupils.

Moonlight.

Oh fuck—

For an instant, the Gorgon felt the werewolf’s knot knocking at her entrance. All her nerves exploded. Liquid fire consumed her lower body.

From two throats emerged a sound of primeval exultation.

Then Silver got to work.

It was like she’d been when they kissed, only ten times more intensely. Lips, teeth, tongue, everywhere, all at once. Claiming her. Marking territory, in a tapestry of flickering pain and flashing pleasure.

Heat, delicious heat, stretched her open and drove deeper, still deeper, pouring through her veins and making her claws curl, making her tail tighten against Silver’s unyielding leg.

It felt like her brain was being squeezed with every thrust, the thoughts spilling out through the cracks. And on the way out, Silver left some thoughts of her own, filling in every empty space.

Words like “machine” or “punishment” were discarded by the Gorgon’s roiling thoughts as quickly as they appeared, floating so deliciously through her mental froth.

There was nothing wanton about the way her fingers, her claws, dug into her waist. Nothing at all deliberate about the impact of her hips. Or the way she spread Vyper’s legs further apart every time she drove home.

She dug her heels into her partner’s thighs, feeling her tail wag furiously, feeling the rasp of her fangs against her throat. She buried her nose into her thick mane, tasting the alcohol as it faded, enjoying the flavor of her lust as it built up and overtook her like a beast. Listening to her desperate panting, her whining, her growling.

It was hard to hear herself over the noise of it—not that she was doing much better at sounding human.

So eager. So full of want. Consumed by it. Like a dog.

No. A wolf, of course. Giving her would-be tamer everything she deserved.

She ought to feel lucky. Mostly she felt held down and fucked to pieces.

Taken by her worst enemy. Yeah, she felt pretty lucky at the moment.

God, there was so much of her. She never seemed to end.

Silver bent further, lowering Vyper beneath her until her body formed a descending slope. Her arms were soft, rock-solid, hot to the touch, muscles bulging beyond belief. Her tongue rasped out, rough, long, tasting her softest scales.

Did she know she was touching her most sensitive places? Did she feel how the body in her arms shivered at her feral touch? Was she even aware she should try to give her pleasure anymore?

It didn’t seem to matter. It came anyway. All that Vyper could take.

The darkness was ablaze in a thousand colors, all gleaming shades of silver and gold.

Some part of Vyper still dwelt on the glow in Silver’s eyes; knew what it meant, knew what it meant for her, at this moment. But at this moment, that part of her was being very thoroughly crowded out.

Her voice was nearly exhausted. Her claws were slipping through damp and matted fur. Her abdomen was distending with each dense, sticky thrust.

When she woke up, she knew, she’d be the sorest she’d ever been in her life.

It was so worth it.

And the heat never stopped. It built up and up, bubbling within her, carrying her higher and higher, faster and faster. It was unstoppable, it was unceasing, it was overwhelming, it was so fucking good.

Until it hit a wall.

Vyper opened her eyes. Silver was looking down at her from very high up. Her pupils were glowing moons in swirling golden pools. They seemed…anxious.

It took several long moments for Vyper’s senses to reach out and discover the problem. Silver was thrusting into her hole in short bursts, bursts that sent shockwaves across her nervous system. But nothing was happening. She seemed to have reached a limit.

Synapses fired. Vyper gasped. It was her knot.

Vyper knew a few things about werewolves, and while some of her assumptions had been challenged tonight, she was absolutely sure of one thing. As soon as that knot went in she’d be completely wrecked, and all the ice packs in the tri-state area wouldn’t be enough.

She should tell her to pull out. She should slip free and get her claws around her cock again. That was the smart thing—there was a ritual tomorrow—Silver would get it, of course she would—

“Do it, Sil,” she breathed. Her tongue curled out, licking her soft snout. “Get it in. I know you can.”

Silver blinked.

Hm. Well.

Vyper only got a moment to regret it.

Then Silver stopped thrusting and started pushing.

It was a battle between Vyper’s body and Silver’s. In such a case, it didn’t matter what the context was. Silver would always win.

And she did, and her knot slipped in with a drawn-out howl.

Vyper felt their hips connect and seal with a jolt.

“Sil—” she gasped.

Then her knot inflated.

An inferno filled her, flowing free through the breach Silver made, lashing against her insides.

Unleashing, at last, her own heat.

God—fuck—Lilaaah—”

Vyper locked her legs around Silver’s waist and boiled over.

Her ecstasy escaped in a long, triumphant hiss.

The night stretched on. The moon and the stars shone down on the Cursed Apple, blind to the pair in the abandoned tenement.

Vyper and Silver clung together in the dark. The Gorgon curled in the werewolf’s arms, soothed by her powerful heart, nestled by her soft white fur. The werewolf held a familiar smell, a familiar body. She hadn’t done that in a while. It was reassuring.

Tomorrow was the ritual. Tomorrow they’d go back to being rivals, brought together by circumstance. Tomorrow, with any luck, was their wish. Tomorrow was their future, their always, their forever.

Tonight, for a little while longer, they could try something else.
