Notes:

hi yes, it's me, kirschblute! like the title says, this isn't an update for god kings, but it's just a side project thingy ive been working on, the character sheet! i've also gone back to reread god kings from the start, so everything here should be quite accurate in terms of lore.

be warned that this may contain spoilers for way out, the collection of shorts in the god kings universe, so read at your own risk!

if you see 3 full stops followed by a question mark (...?), it means that i was intending to write that bit of information into a short story, but it just never happened because i don't want to milk the god kings universe :')

see you!

Chapter Text

HANDLERS

Dream

“I know what it is like to kill and torture.”

Occupation: Handler (former), Director of Agents at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Human

Nicknames: Puppeteer, Green Nightmare, Stronger than Technoblade, Dirty Dog

Power(s): Existence, Walking Nightmare, Riftwalk

Trivia: Despite his name, he does not dream, and only has nightmares.

The Rank 0 Handler with power that is unrivalled by anyone. He once led a normal life, but that soon changed when his mother died, causing his father to spiral down a path of madness. His real name is Clay, but ever since his sister compared him to a dream, he has adopted that name.

Due to the nature of his upbringing, which is void of any love or affection but only to kill, Dream thinks differently from other people. He can be brash, confident and bold when dealing with people of a ‘lower status’ than him, and he can be ruthless and vicious whenever assigned to take out a target. But in a situation that is neither of the two, Dream can become a huge social awkward mess.

In order to control Dream, the Players are constantly forcing Dream to take on tasks that could endanger his life in exchange for his sister’s safety, hence the nickname ‘Dirty Dog’, as well as trying to strip him of any support.

His power, Existence , allows him to conjure a false reality and trap his target in this false reality, tricking their minds into believing that the false reality they are in is real. Only those with the strongest willpower will be able to break out of his power. Dream can conjure any kind of reality with his power - and his power is so overwhelmingly strong that he can trick the minds of his target into believing that they are dead which kills them.

Riftwalk is a secondary power gifted to him by God King Cale. It somewhat follows the principles of Cale’s power, though the range for Riftwalk is shorter.

His curse, Walking Nightmare , is similar to his power Existence, except that he has no control over what kind of reality is conjured. The curse forces his target to face their deepest fears, and will occur whenever Dream makes direct eye contact with someone.

Technoblade

“Sometimes violence is the only answer. And I get full marks every single time.”

Occupation: Handler (former), Prince of Antarctic Empire, next-in-line for succession of the royal throne (current)

Race: Piglin

Nicknames: The Blade, Mad Beast, One Man Butcher, Butcher

Power: Undying Rage

Trivia: He sends his red cloak to the laundry daily, so it always smells fresh all the time.

The Rank 1 Handler whose notoriety stems from his raw brute strength and feral animal-like rage. Combining his power and his weapon mastery, he is a force to be reckoned with. He was once a Stray who worked under Kristin, but after her death, Philza promised to take him in as his Stray. However, Philza took Dream as his Stray instead, leaving Technoblade betrayed and upset. This led to a certain rivalry growing between Technoblade and Dream, and at one point in time Technoblade had flung Dream off the Tower, but Dream managed to latch onto Technoblade and brought Technoblade down with him. Somehow, both of them survived...?

Technoblade is very quiet and does not like to talk much, due to the scar he has on the right side of his mouth which splits his mouth apart. Due to the nature of the poison coated on the dagger he was slashed with, the cells in the affected area do not regrow, hence there is no chance of his scar recovering.

His power, Undying Rage, grants him tolerance and strength that is beyond the capabilities of any human. Technoblade does not die from circumstances that may kill any human, and it would take a lot more in order to kill him. Additionally, Technoblade also boasts of his superb mastery over a variety of weapons, though he prefers using the sword the most.

His genetic trait, as a Piglin, causes him to fly into an unstoppable rage whenever those that he deeply cares for are hurt, destroying everything and everyone in his way, even allies. Only Dream can snap him out of his unstoppable rage using Walking Nightmare .

Philza

“Death is like the wind. Everywhere, endlessly.”

Occupation: Handler (former), Director of External Affairs at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Avian

Nicknames: Dad, Killza, Angel of Death

Power: Zephyrus, Storm’s Fury

Trivia: He still has the ring he was planning to propose to Kristin with. He wears it on a silver chain.

The Rank 2 Handler who is known for his carefree disposition much like the winds. He has worked in the City for years, and is the last Handler to ever hold the title of veteran. He fell in love with Kristin and was planning to retire so that they could settle down, since Handlers are prohibited from marrying, but Kristin died before he could propose.

He was once good friends with Dream’s father. Initially believing that there was some form of salvation left for Dream’s father, Philza tried to convince Dream’s father to stop tormenting Dream, but he did not listen. Eventually, Philza snapped and fought against Dream’s father in a battle that lasted for several days.

His power, Zephyrus , grants him increased stamina, strength and speed whenever he is in flight. Storm’s Fury allows him to change the weather at will, and allows him to summon lightning bolts to strike down his enemies.

His genetic trait, as an Avian, causes him to age slower than normal humans and also grants him a pair of pure black wings.

Wilbur

“I did not ask for your opinion.”

Occupation: Handler (former), deceased (current)

Race: Spectre

Nickname: -

Power: -

Trivia: He can ‘predict’ the future with quite high accuracy.

The Rank 13 Handler whose arrogance knows no bounds, and the only Handler to refuse the Tower’s accommodation. He runs the largest intelligence network in the City called Manberg, and as all information flows through him, Wilbur knows just about everything and anything that is happening in the City. He enjoys a good can of beer alongside an exciting game of chess, though his fondness of chess stems from how he sees battles with his opponents.

Years of being a spectre has dulled his moral compass significantly, and Wilbur believes that he lacks any morals, willing to do anything in order to achieve his goals. Rarely does he let panic overwhelm him, and when it does, it just means that something cataclysmic has happened.

He acts as the mastermind behind everything, drafting up plans and assigning tasks to the Handlers who deem him the most capable to take on such a role. Perhaps that is where Tubbo gets his analytical skills from.

Wilbur doesn’t remember how he died, he only knows he was killed by someone. His rage attracted the attention of God King Cale, who decided to let him exist in the mortal realm purely out of amusement.

As a spectre, Wilbur can drift through walls and floorboards with ease. However, he is deathly allergic to water and sunlight, hence he spends most of his time cooped up in his office at Manberg. His blood is also a vivid shade of blue unlike normal humans, which he uses to mark his reports for his blood is invisible to the human eye.

Sapnap

“I swear, I was just trying to burn this piece of paper!”

Occupation: Handler (former), Managing Supporting Officer at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Human

Nicknames: Arsonist

Power: Flame Pillar

Trivia: Once got hit by a car, broke an arm, but continued on like nothing had happened. He only learnt that he had broken his arm when George slapped the affected arm and, quote, ‘ I ascended to Heaven and came back and then went down to hell and then came back and I’m going to dieeeeee-’

Rank 15 Handler whose daredevil tendencies has seen him winding up in dangerous situations. He is sometimes described as an ‘overcharged power bank’ due to the amount of energy he has, which can lead him to be overly energetic or overly protective of his close friends.

He lacks confidence in his abilities and does not deal with pressure well, wishing that he is stronger to free Dream from the Players. At one point he also despised his power that can only destroy and can never repair.

His power, Flame Pillar, grants him mastery over the control of the fire element. There is no limitation on what he can do with his power; he can cloak himself in fire, create a wall of fire, and so on. This also grants him immunity to fire, and a distaste for anything cold and wet.

Punz

“...”

Occupation: Handler (former), Master Instructor at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Human

Nickname: Shadow boy, Dream’s dog, Dream’s loyal servant

Power: Shadow Step

Trivia: He used to have a reversed sleep schedule (sleep during day, awake at night) but nowadays Punz just doesn’t need to sleep and nobody knows why.

The rank 18 Handler who once lived a normal life as a normal kid, and would have probably gone on to become a normal adult too. He met Dream purely by coincidence, and after learning of their similar fates, Punz developed a deep sense of loyalty and followed in Dream’s footsteps.

Punz is well-versed in the speed aspect, and is the fastest out of all the former Handlers even though he can easily escape by using his power. He is occasionally sent out into the field by Dream to collect information, to dispose of certain targets, or to do some investigation. He is often called Dream’s dog, a nickname he takes pride in.

His power, Shadow Step , allows him to enter the shadow world which is nothing but darkness. In the shadow world, he can hear the voices of everyone as though he is hiding in their shadows, and can choose a target shadow to crawl out of, serving as a means of transport. Punz can also bring people with him into the shadow world, though they do not see or hear what Punz sees and hears. Punz can also manipulate the shadows at will to serve as his ‘arms’.

George

“Sacrifices are necessary for results.”

Occupation: Teacher, self-employed researcher (former), Lab Technician at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Human

Nicknames: Gogy, Goggles

Power: Centrepiece

Trivia: He was supposed to graduate at the top of his batch, but Sam beat him to it.

Purpled’s stoic tutor who prioritises results above states, and does not mind putting others in a little bit of a bind to get the results he desires. He can appear disinterested and unsympathetic towards others, but deep down he cares for his friends a lot.

When Dream was assigned to kill both him and Sapnap, George somehow managed to beat Dream while Sapnap blanked out, almost dying in the process. Till this date no one knows how George managed such a feat, and he refuses to say anything about it, while Dream does not remember much of what had happened.

His power, Centrepiece, allows him to open a tiny vacuum roughly the size of a coin that can absorb anything, from air currents to fire. It is rumoured that it can even absorb humans, but George has not made a statement on this issue.

STRAYS

Purpled

“I will protect those dear to me, no matter the cost.”

Occupation: Stray (former), Junior Agent  at Sector 4 (current)

Legal Guardian: Dream

Race: Voidborn

Nicknames: Purp, Little Voidling, Little One

Power: Negation

Trivia: He has mastered the art of lying. To this date, he has lied to dream about 56 times (about very minor issues) and hasn’t gotten caught once.

One of the last remaining Voidborn to roam the earth. He is the last of the four to be adopted, initially believing that he lacks any power and is considered useless. After being adopted by Dream and learning of his Handler’s backstory, he becomes determined to free Dream from the clutches of the Players, as well as teaching Dream what it means to be human.

He refuses to let himself appear weak in front of anyone, or to cry, and absolutely hates it when he feels himself starting to cry. As the oldest of the four, he values his big brother position and will sacrifice his own safety for the other three.

His power, Negation, allows him to nullify any power as long as he makes any physical contact with his target. In the domain of Dream’s induced reality, he needs to find the crack in order to negate Dream’s power.

His genetic trait, as a Voidborn, allows him to erase memories and fears. He erased both his memories and fears in the aftermath of the Voidborn slaughter, which he witnessed as a child. This was out of his control due to the emotional stress. Purpled does not plan on trying these powers, because it is ‘too much responsibility for me’.

Tommy

“Dream did NOT fucking beat me in a mock duel.”

Occupation: Stray (former), Junior Agent at Sector 4 (current)

Legal Guardian: Philza

Race: Half Avian, Half Human

Nicknames: Toms, Child, Gremlin Child

Power: -

Trivia: He once ate 3 tubs of ice cream in one sitting and fell so ill he was unable to move for an entire day.

The loudest of the four with some desperate need to win Dream in a mock duel to prove his worth which no one asked for. Many people find him rebellious and just a chore to deal with, but Philza absolutely adores Tommy and will destroy anyone who lays their hand on him. Deep down, Tommy respects Philza greatly, even if he appears tough and uncontrollable.

As a half Avian, Tommy does not possess a pair of wings, but is still able to fly through the air though he is much slower compared to Philza. It’s said that Tommy has two straight jagged scars on his back, which could be remnants of the wings he once had...?

Tubbo

“You probably did it wrong. Let me show you how it’s done.”

Occupation: Stray (former), Junior Agent at Sector 4 (current)

Legal Guardian: Dream

Race: Mostly human, but has a little bit of Devil blood in him.

Nicknames: Bossman, Tubs

Trait: He can tell whenever people are lying.

Trivia: He can solve a 6x6 rubik's cube within 15 seconds.

The smartest and youngest (though most mature) of the four, whose analytical prowess impresses just about everyone. He is able to think and act quickly, and has never once let anxiety get the best of him. He spends most of his time together with Ranboo, whose obliviousness to everything compliments Tubbo’s keen eye. Because of his trait, Tubbo cannot tell lies.

Even though he does not have any power, Tubbo is the most agile out of the four, preferring to train the speed aspect instead of the strength aspect. He can do light gymnastics with ease, making him extremely slippery to catch. Tubbo also has throwing knives hidden in his clothes which he uses as his primary weapon.

In Dragonfall, the aftermath of the battle for the throne causes the decay of the Black Dragon Vathias and the plague to spread. Tubbo’s mother falls to the plague, and leaves her son Tubbo behind in the hands of Schlatt, who is the very last person she saw. Schlatt raises Tubbo as his own son and gives Tubbo a silver of his power.

Ranboo

“... What?”

Occupation: Stray (former), Junior Agent at Sector 4 (current)

Legal Guardian: Dream

Race: Enderman

Nickname: Ran, Boo, Enderboy

Power: -

Trivia: Once fell asleep in a wardrobe of Sector 4’s locker room and turned the entire agency upside down as they searched desperately for him.

The most air-headed of the four who appears mostly oblivious to everything; it isn’t sure if Ranboo is genuinely ignorant or if he is just putting on a very good act. However, sometimes he can connect the most obscure pieces with no link whatsoever by thinking out of the box, and this has earned him a spot in the intelligence team alongside Tubbo. He hangs out with Tubbo the most, even on Sector 4 missions. Due to his enderman genetics that grants him natural strength and speed, Ranboo doesn’t train much, and spends his free time by roaming around Sector 4 headquarters, disturbing the superiors or completing the secret missions Dream assigns to him.

Secretly, Ranboo yearns for a place to call home - he is somewhat upset that each of his friends has a parental figure (Purpled has Dream, Tommy has Philza, Tubbo has Schlatt)  while he has none due to Technoblade moving to the Antarctic Empire and being unable to return. Ranboo looks forward to the day where he can reunite with his kind, maybe even his family, perhaps in a place called the farlands ...?

His genetic trait, as an enderman, allows him to teleport. The range is much larger than Dream’s riftwalk. When the phrasecode is shouted, or when he hears news about his loved ones being injured, Ranboo enters the ender state, where he grows in height and will lash out at any enemy near him. This is similar to Technoblade’s piglin trait.

PLAYERS

Yuily

“... kill them all.”

Occupation: Main Player, Seat of Vertium (former), repenting in the afterlife (current)

Race: Devil, Human, who knows?

Nickname: Pale Princess, Bloody Princess

Power: Blood Butterflies, Host of Death

Trivia: She can run in 4 inch heels.

The main antagonist of it all. At one point Yuily was just a kid begging on the streets of the Lower District, but so much has happened since then...

As the primary host of death, Yuily can hear the voices of the dead much like Cale, which has driven her past the point of sanity as the voices constantly clamour for her to kill, to avenge them, never quite sated with the bloodshed she brings.

(Clarification: when Cale scatters his powers into the world, the people who receive it are randomly chosen and are called totems , for they only receive a tiny sliver of his power. Hosts gain 10 times as much power, and this process is something Cale must oversee.)

Her power, Blood Butterflies , allows her full control over the butterflies of the same name. Blood butterflies feed on humans, meat and blood, and each species has different capabilities, such as poison or inducing hallucinations. The rarest blood butterfly is able to take on the form of someone they have devoured, and it seems like Yuily has dozens of these.

Alastair

“How curious...”

Occupation: Player (former), ??? (current)

Race: Voidborn

Nickname: -

Power: Third Thread

Trivia:

A Voidborn who was tasked to protect Purpled when all hell broke loose. He has been forced to serve directly under Yuily, and resents every single day. He is Eret’s twin, and despises Eret due to their difference in ideologies. But despite all the hate he harbours, he felt his heart shatter the moment Eret’s heart stopped beating...

His power, Third Thread, allows him to see the different timelines, and occasionally, allows him to pick a timeline to steer reality towards.

THE TOWER

Sam

“I’ve chugged 5 energy drinks during this 10 hours of trying to debug the software. I want to give up.”

Occupation: Head Engineer (former), Senior Lab Master at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Human

Nicknames: -

Power: -

Trivia: He cheated on all of his final university exams and managed to graduate at the top of his batch.

The talented engineer of the Tower who is always thinking out of the box. He oversees all operations at the lab and is the one who created the training programs using a fragment of Dream’s power, Imagineering devices, and the Tower’s backup system. He has a friendly rivalry with Foolish who is always looking to irritate Sam in some way.

Puffy

“Good afternoon, sir. What would you like for tea today?”

Occupation: Purgatory Warden (former), Head Butler at House Ram (current)

Race: Human, a little bit Ram, a little bit devil

Nickname: -

Power: Stringed

Trivia: Her hair is so bouncy and curly and thick she can hide a whole can of energy drink in it.

The Warden who is often forced to choose between her duty and her Gatekeepers. As the Warden, Puffy has to be cruel and strict, but she cares deeply for her Gatekeepers as though they are her children. After the fall of Yuily, Puffy doesn’t see any point in staying in the City, and returns to House Ram, Schlatt’s house in the Devil’s realm, where she takes on her mother’s former role as the Head Butler of House Ram.

Her power, Stringed, allows her to bind certain body parts of a person, rendering them unable to use that specific body part.

BadBoyHalo

“Muffins!”

Occupation: Gatekeeper (former), bakery owner (current)

Race: Human

Nickname: -

Power: -

Trivia: He wears a pair of spectacles even though he has perfect eyesight.

One of the Gatekeepers at Purgatory and a good friend of Skeppy. He loves muffins with a passion, and can be heard singing the ‘muffin’ song as he bakes in the little bakery he has founded with his hard-earned money. The four frequent his establishment and have all grown fond of BadBoyHalo’s pastries.

Antfrost

“Velvet is just as sweet and amazing as the cake.”

Occupation: Gatekeeper (former), baker (current)

Race: Human

Nickname: Pudding (by Velvet)

Power: -

Trivia: Has multiple scars all over his body due to his time as a Gatekeeper.

One of the Gatekeepers at Purgatory, and currently engaged to Velvet. He’s content with his life right now, and can be seen flirting with Velvet over the countertop of BadBoyHalo’s bakery. Bad does not mind the public display of affection, though Tommy has made quite a few complaints about it and insisting that the two ‘keep it in the bedroom’.

Skeppy

“To the emergency room!”

Occupation: Gatekeeper (former), doctor (current)

Race: Human

Nickname: -

Power: Totem of Life (former)

Trivia:

One of the Gatekeepers at Purgatory and a good friend of BadBoyHalo. He was once the host of life, randomly chosen as God King Cale once scattered his powers into the world. Because of this, he is able to heal injuries and ailments to a certain extent, though his healing is not as potent as Niki’s. Skeppy lost his powers when Cale gathered his powers back, but he has since then fulfilled his goal to be able to heal and nurture people by becoming a doctor.

Foolish

“Life is kinda short, like spaghetti.”

Occupation: Imagineer (former), Head of Intelligence at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Human

Nickname: -

Power: Totem of Death

Trivia: He has thanatophobia.

One of the former Imagineers with a happy-go-lucky attitude. Due to his power as the totem of death, he takes everything lightly and not very seriously. He can be found trailing after Sam and Callahan after they finish a day’s worth of work, intending to head to a nearby cafe for coffee. As the Head of Intelligence, he is considered Sam’s superior, and hence he likes to annoy Sam by putting Sam in a (light) tight spot.

Foolish has made a bargain with Cale to retain his totemic powers, as he fears death and does not wish to die. What Foolish has given up to Cale in order to retain his powers, is a secret only the two knows.

As one of the totems of death, Foolish is able to repel any deadly accidents away that might see him losing his life, and he ages much slower than normal humans. This does not covers murder, however, which has made Foolish somewhat cautious about people around him.

THE RESISTANCE

Niki

“I should have known better.”

Occupation: Leader of the Resistance (former), Finance Manager at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Human

Nickname: -

Power: Host of life (former)

Trivia: She thinks very lowly of herself.

The one who leads the resistance, though there has been some debate on her leadership. Niki herself knows that she isn’t exactly the best person suited for the role - after all, she was thrown into this role without any prior warning. But with guidance from Ponk and Wilbur, she has managed to avoid steering the resistance towards the cliff.

She is Yuily’s sister, and one day she woke up to find her sister missing. The next time they saw each other was at the Summer Gala, where Yuily seemingly does not recognise her. Niki has always believed in second chances, but after seeing the lengths Yuily would go to, and Philza recounting his own experience of giving second chances to a dear friend of his (Dream’s father), Niki no longer believes in redemption, not even for herself.

Niki believed all of the Handlers hated her guts, but imagine her surprise when Dream recommended her for a post at Sector 4.

Her power, Host of life , grants her healing abilities that are much more potent than any other totems of life.

Eret

“Strength above all.”

Occupation: Insider (former), deceased (current)

Race: Human

Nickname: -

Power: Figure of Speech

Trivia: He is absolutely certain he was a monarch in his previous life.

The twin of Alastair who remains completely loyal to Yuily. He was tasked to infiltrate the resistance and learn of their actions so they can be taken down. He and his brother have completely different ideals hence they do not see eye to eye, but Alastair’s glowing golden eyes was the very last thing Eret saw...

His power, Figure of Speech, allows him to command anyone to do anything he says. It also acts a bind of some sort, so if the person resists Eret’s command, they can suffer grave injuries.

Hannah

*light, twinkling humming*

Occupation: resistance member (former), deceased (current)

Race: Fae

Nickname: flower girl

Power: Blossom

Trivia: She’s certain that she has met Sapnap in another life.

One of the resistance members who loses her life when the explosion happens. She’s been described as someone ethereal and light , and sometimes Niki thinks she isn’t human.

Her power, Blossoming , grants her mastery over the element of nature. She can manipulate flowers and fauna to her will, and can also heal people to a certain extent.

Ponk

“One arrow is all it takes.”

Occupation: resistance member (former), Firing Instructor at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Human

Nickname: -

Power: Perfect Aim

Trivia:

One of the resistance members who was quite loyal to Niki. Till this day, he remains a close friend of Niki, and the two can be seen hanging out, sometimes with Foolish, Sam, Callahan and Alyssa.

His power, Perfect Aim , allows him to hit his target with any projectile and with perfect accuracy.

MANBERG

Callahan

*waves arms around aggressively*

Occupation: Bartender at Manberg (former), Voluntary Test Subject at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Human

Nickname: -

Power: Neuron Network

Trivia: Has a reindeer onesie he likes to sleep in.

Bartender at Manberg who takes the night shift. He lost his voice in a freak accident long ago and before he developed his powers, Callahan used the notes app on his phone to communicate with others. Callahan is very bubbly and laughs at even the lamest jokes. After Wilbur is labelled a wanted fugitive and forced to leave the City, Callahan runs Manberg in his stead.

His power, Neruon Network, allows him to create a network with him as the transmitter. He can let multiple people talk to one another telepathically, though if Callahan passes out, the network is disabled.

Alyssa

“I can hear those idiots arguing non-stop. Someone isolate Sam and Foolish please.”

Occupation: none (former), Architect at Sector 4 (current)

Race: Human

Nickname: -

Power: Paralleled Hear

Trivia: She has a very strong memory.

One of the residents of the Lower District who killed in order to survive, taking hits from Quackity. She has only made her mark in the Lower District until she receives a tip for hit in the Central District, and she is eventually caught by Sapnap.

Her power, Paralleled Hear, grants her superhuman hearing.

DEVILS

Cale

“People fear what they do not understand.”

Occupation: Crown Prince, Deity of Life and Death

Race: Devil, perhaps a little bit of something ancient and godly

Nickname: Lord, Morte, Vita, Old God of Life and Death

Power: He is life and death itself. Also has multiple states.

Trivia: He’s very fond of children.

Once created by an entity no mere mortal mind could comprehend. This entity raised him in a Library , before releasing him into the world. But the entity released him into the wrong world, causing Cale to be the sole God King. He does not remember the faces of his other kind, only remembering that there was a certain pink-haired individual named the Lord of Calamity , whom Technoblade bears some resemblance to...

He never ages and never dies, something that could be attributed to his soul being transfixed in time. This allows him to become the only ruler of the devil’s realm that borders the realm of the living and the dead. Cale is the only devil who can walk freely between all the realms.

As Life and Death, Cale can hear the voices and thoughts of all when they are first born, and when they die. It is described to be ‘thousands upon thousands of high grating voices all over your mind’, and none of the devils know how Cale can tolerate it.

He secretly considers Purpled his own son, after he failed to save Purpled’s mother and the Voidborn from Dream’s father. He is proud of how strong Purpled has grown, and is slightly biased towards Purpled.

His secondary power, allows him to be in multiple states at once. He can pick whichever state he wants to be in, and this will teleport him to said state.

As the ruler of all devils, Cale can curse any mortal just like the other devils. Devils also do not tamper with life and death, but Cale is the only exception.

Schlatt

“Hmph. As if you could ever beat me.”

Occupation: Grand Duke of House Ram, support pillar of God King Cale

Race: Devil

Nickname: -

Power: Lie for a Lie

Trivia: His memory is absolutely terrible.

The one and only Grand Duke in the entire devil realm, Schlatt is considered the most powerful devil, only second to God King Cale. He is the head of House Ram, which exerts great control over all the devils and is considered the largest House, followed by House Hexien.

Dream’s father turned his own children over to Schlatt in exchange for the seat of a Player. Schlatt saw this as an opportunity to feast on some souls, and decided to play a game with the two children. Dream eventually won the curse, and his sister won the loss of her soul. But after seeing the face of Dream’s sister, Schlatt decided against eating her soul and released the two children back into the overworld.

His power, Lie for a Lie , causes lies told by him to be turned on itself when it is rejected. By getting his target to reject the lie he has told, Schlatt can turn the lie into reality, which makes him the most dangerous devil to deal with. Cale recommends just not talking to Schlatt at all.

As with all devils, Schlatt can place curses on people, though his curses tend to be more potent and dangerous as compared to lesser devils.

Quackity

“Let’s play a game.”

Occupation: runs the largest gambling den in the lower district (former), Duke of House Headon

Race: Human (former), Devil (current)

Nickname: Quack

Power: Altered Odds

Trivia: He doesn’t like living a life of luxury, and neither does he like being called a Duke.

Everybody in the Lower District knew who Quackity was. The man who runs the largest gambling den ever built, and the man who is seemingly impossible to beat at any games. But nobody knows that he is actually one of the devils, and a Duke at that. Quackity is the Duke of House Headon, who oversees all forms of gambling in the devil’s realm regardless of whether the wager is money, or something else.

His power, Altered Odds, pushes the odds of any event in his favour. This allows him to have the winning hand every single time.

SIDE CHARACTERS

Dream’s sister

“Clay’s like a cloud... he’s going to drift away one day, isn’t he?”

Occupation: Lantern-Bearer

Race: Human

Nickname: adorable lovely sister

Power: Little Dreamer

Trivia: She asked Cale to mould her lanterns into the shape of bunnies, which is her favourite animal.

Dream’s little sister who was the only person keeping him going during the dark times. She died alone in Centralis, consumed by a deadly illness  and the lack of medical attention. Had Schlatt known, he might have found it similar to the plague that once consumed the empire of Dragonfall, the very same plague stemming from the decay of the Black Dragon...

She now serves directly under Cale as the Lantern-Bearer towards the afterlife for anyone that is lost, directing them towards the gates they are assigned to with the soft glow of her rabbit lanterns. In her free time, she likes to read books and draw in Cale's manor, which is also her place of residence, and Cale showers her with an abundance of children's toys and books. At one point she might have slipped into the dream realm, an act Cale was not aware of, where she reunited with her brother for a few hours...

Her power, Little Dreamer, allows her to see her future in the form of dreams, though there are certain dreams which do not tell of her future.

Dream’s Father

Occupation: Main Player (former), deceased (current)

Race: ???

Nickname: -

Power: Infinity

Trivia: He does not remember the face of his wife anymore.

At one point in time, he was known as a caring man who loved his family more than anything else.

But upon the death of his wife, he spiralled down a path of madness, with no return, from heartbreak. In a desperate attempt to bring back his wife, he searched for an answer for years, neglecting the children his wife had left behind. Twice he asked, and twice the Voidborn refused. And eventually they were annihilated, their master having arrived too late. In his final moments, he could see his wife, extending a translucent hand before grasping his hand lightly, though her face remained cloudy...

He instils the mindset of having no attachments forcibly on Dream, and has driven Dream to death’s door multiple times through force feeding him poison and other atrocious acts.

His power, Infinity , allows him to multiply anything through glass, as well as create anything out of thin air. This explains his preference for shattering glass; by shattering glass into multiple pieces, he can easily multiply anything.
