Summary
Dream didn't remember. He didn't remember anything he did to Tommy, didn't remember all the pain and destruction he had caused. "Bullshit!" Tommy yelled, futilely trying to escape from his friend's grips yet again. "How do you know that he's not manipulating you again? As he always does?!"
After the egg takes over and kills everybody, they get reincarnated into the modern world with their memories from their first life and Tommy just really wants to kill Dream.
Except that Dream doesn't remember.

"Hello, Purpled." His Handler purrs behind the smiling mask.
"I'm sure you know who I am, and the plethora of names people call me. Puppeteer, Green Nightmare, Rank 0, stronger than Technoblade-" His Handler recites in a silky voice, counting the names with his fingers. "But you will call me Dream. And starting from today, you will be under my care."
Or, Purpled is a misfit among misfits, lacking in any form of magical talent as determined by his constant failure in the aptitude tests, and he cannot understand why the most dangerous man alive would want to adopt him.

“Please,” one soldier told Techno over dinner, “The Blood God isn’t going to help you. He doesn’t accept any of the blood sacrifices the generals leave for him, so either he doesn’t exist, or he thinks he’s too good for the likes of us. Either way, it’s best to find a different patron.”
Techno had punched him in the face for that. None of his other comrades ever brought up the Blood God again.
Well, except for one.
“You follow the Blood God?” the new kid said, staring up at Techno with unbelievably blue eyes.
“Yeah,” Techno replied, perhaps a bit gruffer than he meant to, “What’s it to you?”
“Nothing!” the new kid said, grinning wildly, “I love that guy. He gets all the ladies. Hey, we should be friends!”Or: Techno is the last devout follower of the Blood God. Tommy may or may not be said god.

Outside of school, Tubbo was Tommy’s dearest and closest friend - and had been for their whole lives.
In school, they were still best friends - but, there was a little more to it. Because in school, Tubbo was on track to be Tommy’s sidekick - the two having ended up in different classes during placement, with Tommy having landed in the Hero course without his friend.
So, while the two considered each other equals, they’d be hard-pressed to find a classmate or faculty member who shared that sentiment.
They didn’t care though. They were best friends, they were teammates, and they were equals. There wasn’t a force on Earth that would change that fact for them.Series

“I am Prince Theseus’s guard.”
Tommy’s looks like Tubbo’s told a joke. The uniform was enough for everyone else but Tommy doesn’t believe him. Or he’s smiling for another reason.
“I’m sure you’ve heard, but Prince Theseus doesn’t think highly of being guarded,” he says, amused. Tubbo can’t see the humour, but he’s also certain that he’d get in trouble for turning his back on the lordling, having surmised that Tommy is not quite royalty, but still high in status—certainly higher than Sam or Dream or any of the knights that would step in to defend Tubbo’s actions.
“He doesn’t see the point, when he’s trapped in the castle as it is,” Tommy continues; “being guarded is worse. They’re all stiff, proper and fucking bootlickers to the old man, but if you want, I can put in a good word for you.”
Tubbo’s scepticism must show on his face because Tommy pouts playfully. “What? Don’t you trust me?”
“I don’t know you,” Tubbo says before he can think about it.Curse his unruly mouth. Mother told him he didn’t often think before his spoke and now he’s being rude to a lordling because of it.
Or: Tubbo is Prince Theseus's new guard. Except he can't find him.
