Summary
At the risk of sounding like a Dickens character, Seto Kaiba didn't like Christmas.
And still risking feeding a stereotype, he had better things to do than pretend to be happy only one day a year, smile at strangers and behave like a normal human being (Mokuba's words, not his.)
Unfortunately for Seto, Mokuba loved Christmas. He loved it so much to organize a Christmas party at their place, inviting his girlfriend and her family.
There would be nothing wrong if the girlfriend in question was not Serenity Wheeler, and wherever she was, there was also her brother Joey and him, the person Seto least wanted to see around. And who obviously had to be the first person he crossed paths with on Christmas Eve.
(Seto doesn't like Christmas, but maybe Atem might make him change his mind.)

Summary
"Why are you here, Nightwing?" Superman's voice was calm but firm as he spoke. He didn't even turn around, all his attention on the man lying on the bed, gripping his hand. He touched him as if he were the most precious thing in the world. Dick didn't want to look: Bruce shouldn't be like this, immobile, surrounded by machinery.
"I'm here for him," Dick said, standing in front of the bed, still looking at Superman, because he couldn't see his father Bruce in that way.
Superman made a contemptuous noise, completely out of place for him, "And obviously, you're alone. Where are the others? Minding their own business?"
Dick curled his lip, defensive. "Someone had to stay in Gotham, you know."
"If my father had been saved from a cult that wanted to sacrifice him to an alien god, I'd be right there with him," the alien said angrily. "But apparently, he doesn't even deserve that grace, does he?"
(Batman was a legend. Batman was invincible. But Bruce Wayne was just a man, and Dick wasn't ready to face the chance of seeing another parent die, without being able to tell him he didn't hate him.)

Summary
Keith entered, forgetting to knock, a bad habit he had picked up from Shiro, and froze in the doorway. Sitting on the bed, Lance was taking off his shirt, and Keith knew he shouldn't, but he looked anyway, and felt a warmth in his guts that wasn't entirely unpleasant.
"Keith? What are you doing here?" Lance's voice brought him back to reality, and Keith felt like a worm for looking, for daring to want, for the kind of thoughts he had.
"Ah, I... I didn't think you were about to go to sleep... I'll go..."
"No, it's fine, stay," he said, pausing as he pulled the fabric down to cover his exposed abdomen and back, making Keith deeply regret losing that view.
(If anyone were to ask, Keith had gone to Lance to talk. It wasn't his fault that things had gone on so quickly. Shiro wouldn't hesitate to call it bullshit, but thankfully, that's none of Shiro's business.)

Despite his appearance and injuries, Zenitsu couldn't be wrong.
That was Tanjuro Kamado! The MC! The hero! The best person who ever existed and...
Oh God, now he was looking at him.
Tanjuro tilted his head, "Hi, are you also a disciple?"
"I... ah... I..."
What is a fan supposed to do when they met their absolute favorite character after he died an excruciating death?
Squeaking like a madman and fainting, of course. And he was also promptly grabbed in the arms of the protagonist! Hey, why was his face so red?
Nevermind, soon it will no longer count for anything.
In any case, Zenitsu was already dead. Right?
(After dying, Zenitsu wakes up in the world of his favorite manga, but as a villain! He doesn't want to die again, especially not at the hands of his favorite character! Of course, the most logical solution is to leave! Too bad Tanjuro finds him again, and again, and again...)

"I'm hallucinating now," Damian muttered to himself, as the boy stared at him, uncertainly, "Mhm, pretty sure I'm not a hallucination."
"That's what a hallucination would say, Richard," he said, knowing he sounded petulant. Whatever the Galra had given him to keep him quiet, it was stronger than many of the drugs he had become accustomed to during his training with the League of Assassins.
It was only for this reason that he risked falling forward. Fortunately for him, he was promptly grabbed by the boy. It was a strong, solid grip, and definitely not a hallucination.
Damian looked up, meeting eyes that reminded him of a dead man, and the other said, "You confused me with another person. My name is not Richard. It's Lance."
(During his imprisonment on an alien ship, after sacrificing himself to save Earth, Damian meets a boy who reminds him terribly of his dead brother. He can't be who he believes, but the resemblance is striking, and Damian just wants to believe that something left by Dick Grayson still exists.)

This was, quite literally, the best fanfiction I’ve ever read. I know I’ve said that about a lot of fics- but this is the absolute best. The characterization of every single person was beautiful. Everyone was a badass. I love how Hermione was a BAMF and I love her scenes telling the slytherins off. I love the way the author portrayed Severus and Sirius, I love their apology. I thank the author for allowing Severus to live. I absolutely love the invention of new types of magic, like hermiones raw energy usage, the portkey abilities, the magic computer chips. I loved the inclusion of MI5 and the nonmagical special units. I absolutely fell in love with Amelia, a true badass and the only reason this all worked out the way it did. I loved how it was mostly action but with romance sprinkled between. I hope Sirius and Amelia got together as well as maybe Remus and Tonks as he blushed and talked about her a bit. I hope Ron learns some self-worth and can become confident with himself and be on good terms with Harry and Hermione. I hope Draco finds some peace and does the same thing Ron does. I hope Narcissa can find a way to be happy and learn to live and recover from an abusive relationship. This was truly the best fanfiction I’ve read and I will talk about it for many years to come.
