Summary
On the eve of the 200th anniversary of the family business, a 55-year-old Rhaenys Targaryen-Velaryon, the first woman in the family to hold a high position within the company, has an announcement to make. After 25 years of holding the position of CFO at the Targaryen Corp., she plans to retire by the end of the year.
This announcement leaves Otto Hightower rubbing his hands; oh, how easy it will be to convince the old fool Viserys to appoint Otto as the new CFO. Little does he know, that while he rubs his hands, his two opponents already have their takeover plans set in action.
A few days after, Daemon Targaryen returns to London. Good news - a month later, Daemon learns that his ex-wife has moved back to London just a few weeks before Rhaenys’ announcement. (Coincidence? He doesn’t believe in those). Bad news - Rhaenyra still hates him, she’s engaged and now his youngest son calls another man daddy.
Nothing's fair in love and war.

“Clearly another reason he should stay away, her attachment to him is unnatural.”

Summary
“There is nothing 'supposed' about my children.” she went on, each word gaining weight, “They are the future of this house. Written in law. Written in dragonfire. You may hate that. You may taste bile every time you say their titles. You may kneel at your bedside and whisper other names into your pillow. I do not care.”
“Rhaenyra,” Viserys breathed, worn and pleading.
A muscle jumped in Alicent’s cheek. “You think I wanted—”
“I think you wanted exactly what you have,” Rhaenyra cut in. “Rooms in my father’s Keep. A seat at his side. A crown that never sits right on your hair because you know you came to it on your knees.”

Summary
The child in his arms was fast asleep and only two days of age.
A boy.
At least the Bronze Bitch had given him that much. Daemon thought it a mistake at first, when he got so drunk he managed to spill his seed on that woman’s hostile cunt. And his seed took root in her womb and bloomed into a child. A boy. His son.
A boy of pale golden hair and dark purple eyes. A boy who thankfully resembled him and his House rather than the inconsequential House of the Bronze Bitch. He was a robust boy, strong and healthy, according to the maester in that shithole.
“I do not have an egg for you yet, but I shall get one” he whispered to the sleeping babe’s ear.
His grandfather would have to give him a dragon egg for his son, after all, his niece had gotten one. And both of Rhaenys’ children had as well, despite being Velaryons by birth and name. Daemon would get one for his son, he was owed as much.
