Summary
Out of summer boredom, Mike and Will start making bets. Mike decides to up the stakes, offering the loser should do everything the other tells him for the rest of the summer.
Mike loses.
And somehow, following Will’s orders isn’t as bad as it should be...
Or: Will wins a bet and gets to tell Mike what to do, and it makes Mike feel all sorts of things ;)
Pasteur saw that germs only appear if there’s exposure to the outside world.
Darwin saw that finches with certain beak shapes survived while others went extinct.
And Mike Wheeler saw that being told what to do by his best friend makes him horny.The question asked after all of these discoveries, inevitably, is - why?

Summary
So, without any other evidence to go off of, Mike tried to work backwards with what little information that he had.
1. Will was upset.
2. Will had first starting acting weird since El’s question during Never Have I Ever.So, of course, Mike’s sleep-addled, partially hungover brain made the only logical connection he could think of.
Will was lashing out and upset because he was embarrassed. Embarrassed that he had never been kissed.
If anyone were to ask why Mike said what he said next, he would blame it on sleep deprivation, or maybe he was still a little bit drunk from before, either way, all he knew was that he didn’t want to see Will cry anymore, didn’t want Will to feel like an outsider even more than he already did.
So he said something incredibly, incandescently stupid.
“Kiss me.”
Or Mike's idiotic, roundabout way to get Will Byers to kiss him.

Summary
Will felt greedy to an extent, it was never enough. He always wanted more. It was hard because Mike just looked so good in the summer.
That wasn't to say that Will wasn't always infatuated with him in every season, because he was, but now it was more of a never-ending ache deep in his stomach. He wanted him.

The Party has a pool day at Steve's house and Mike pulls Will off to make out with him.
