Lucerys survives the confrontation with Aemond but is taken prisoner. Jacaerys seeks support from the North and Cregan Stark (and will find more along the way). Joffrey just wants to prove himself. Rhaenyra deserved better.

Before the dance, King Jacaerys had three Alpha Uncles who he had waged a bloodthirsty war against, and an Omega Aunt who remained largely blameless.
Three vials of a witch’s potion, administered to the King’s three greatest enemies. It had taken a night for the potions to take effect. Alyn had secluded himself in his private rooms, shuddering. Addam had followed him, not wanting to bear witness any longer. There was something unnerving about the whole procedure, the blood curdling screams of anguish that followed as the transformation occurred.
But it worked. Come morning, the King had three Omega Uncles.
