“To rule an empire, one must be a worthy emperor”, Madara remarks, accepting a peeled slice of fruit; for some reason, any food in this child’s hands tastes better.
Kagami just laughs, as if it were a joke known only to him.

Summary
In the aftermath, a thousand and one deaths flash before his eyes, and Ares feels them all. Every sword. Every spear. Every knife.
Over and over again, he breathes his last breath, sometimes at the hands of another soldier and sometimes at the hands of himself. He stares at his own face, caked in blood and viscera, and hates himself for loving it.
War is his vice of choice. It is his lover. His best friend. His worst enemy. He hates to love it, but no matter how he tries, he can’t seem to escape its clutches.
He’s not quite sure if he really wants to.- - -
It’s ironic, isn’t it? Ares hates all of Poseidon’s children with a vengeful fury, and yet, in this new world of Christianity and Capitalism, Perseus Fucking Jackson is the closest thing he has to a priest.

Summary
Every now and again—typically late at night, when his mind was trying and failing to internalise the hurricane of weird shit that happened to be his life—Desmond wondered about how all this will end. Abstrego can throw around technical-sounding jargon until the cows go home, but even they probably knew that rendering genetic memories in three dimensions just meant fucking around with soul magic.

Summary
Something is wrong with Jason.
This is as much as Bruce can gather, and it’s what he’s known since the beginning. It’s frustrating enough to make him want to tear his hair out. Because there's nothing. No toxin or external factor controlling Jason. Nothing that could lend itself to explaining why Jason has practically changed overnight.

Summary
"B?" Robin asks, confused at Bruce's long silence, "They're going to move. What's your call?"
Batman realises he can't ever remember the last time Dick waited for his call before jumping headfirst into a skirmish. Well before he turned fifteen, at the very least. A long time ago now.
They're working properly together all of a sudden, listening to each other and waiting for instructions — but for some inexplicable reason, Bruce feels as though they're two completely different people. It is still Batman and Robin, but it's not Batman and Robin.
It's… strange.
(Something is different about Dick. Bruce notices.)

Summary
Mike Ross thought it would be funny to draft a mock lawsuit accusing Harvey of emotional negligence just to vent his frustration. He put in everything from their late night banter to a joke about going to jail for him. It was just a writing exercise until he accidentally sent it to the printer instead of the trash bin. Now Harvey has the document and Mike has to explain why he wrote a Motion for Summary Judgment on their relationship.
