Summary
The Sludge Villain doesn't find Bakugo after escaping All Might, but some other random civilian. There's no series of explosions to draw All Might to the scene of the second attack. It's by pure luck that Izuku stumbles upon them. And Izuku does what he always has when he sees one person hurting another: inserts himself between the aggressor and victim. He finds this is significantly harder to do when one of the parties is a sentient slime.

Izuku Midoriya's Quirk was...dangerous. Since the age of four he knew what true nightmares were made of. Demons were the soldiers of hell, and they made it their mission to terrify him for fun. Peeling skin, black sillouhettes, and grating screams that froze him in place where only a part of it. Their words and dark hymns followed him, crushing his body and soul.
But not as much as his mother did. Inko was prone to using her fists and venomous words to beat him down, and she was worse than the demons who followed him day and night.
"God does not shine upon you,"
The demons repeated it like a mantra, and they were all right. God hated them all, the fallen wingless angels who he damned for eternity. He loathed Izuku too, the boy who could see them. Izuku was cursed with an uncontrollable Quirk, but he tamed those demons. They were his, and his alone.
God sneered at him, and he smiled devilishly back. God had given the demons exactly what they needed...

He would also be lying if he said that this was the first time he'd been mistaken for one of the Wayne children.
But there is a first that occurs to Danny in this moment as he opens his eyes and takes in the mixture of poorly made clown, scarecrow, and bird masks that stood before him. This was the first time he had been kidnapped and held for ransom, especially not as himself but as one of the Wayne boys. Danny was dealing with his first case of mistaken identity!
This would have been a much more interesting prospect if he wasn't currently tied to a chair and facing down a mishmash of henchmen from different Rogues.
