“You’re back,” he said, sounding as surprised as he looked. “I didn’t think you would be.”
“Why not?” Stiles asked, confused and still half-asleep. He yawned as he rubbed both hands across his face again, and then froze at the next words out of Jeremy’s mouth.
“I figured you’d spend the weekend with your boyfriend.”
His what?
“My what?” he asked aloud.
“Your boyfriend,” Jeremy said, tilting his head slightly in confusion. “The angry, overprotective dude who came to get you? You could’ve just told us it was your boyfriend you know, you didn’t have to give us the song and dance ‘he’s my dad’s deputy’ routine. I kind of figured out you were lying about that in first year when you moved in with him for the summer.”
Stiles stared at him, completely flabbergasted about this entire situation.
“What the fuck are you talking about?”

Derek is forced by his mother to take Cora on a tour of his campus. He isn't expecting to be completely enraptured by the goofy tour guide's bad jokes and clumsiness.

The Student Ambassador jacket doesn’t offer much protection from the cold, but the families in front of him all seem to be comfortable and cozy in their thick, winter coats. Stiles is incredibly jealous, if not a little bitter."

Summary
He remembers some details of his life quite vividly. Stiles remembers his dad, Scott, Scott’s mom. He knows he’s a junior at Beacon Hills High School and that his dad is the sheriff of the town, has been the sheriff for over seven years now. He remembers having a pet guinea pig called ‘Bacon’ when he was six, and that he got suspended when he was in middle school when he threw a punch at a classmate who was bullying Scott. He knows Scott is his best friend and that they have been best friends since the first grade. He remembers that his mom died when he was eight and that both he and his dad had taken her death pretty hard.
He doesn’t remember the man called Derek.
