Something came whizzing down the kitchen chimney as he spoke and caught him sharply on the back of the head. The next moment, thirty or forty letters came pelting out of the fireplace like bullets.
“That does it!” he snapped, his beady little eyes focused solely on Harry, “It’s you that they want. And they won’t stop coming after us until you’re… gone”.
Harry didn't like the sound of that.
“But Vernon, we can’t! You heard what that- that despicable old man told us!”
“Don’t worry, pet” Vernon said, his nasty grin triumphant, “I’ll leave him someplace so far away that those freaks will never trace him back to us. There’s an institute up north, for these- these hopeless cases and whatnot - St Brutus's Secure Centre for Boys. I’ll leave him there, and then we can get back to our nice, normal life”.Or, the one where Harry doesn't attend Hogwarts in first year but finds his way to the wizarding world anyway, and this changes everything.

There were rumours. Mere whispers, spoken in the dark alleyways of Knockturn Alley and its underbelly slums, of a boy, or perhaps a young man, with green eyes and a strange affinity for the dead. A necromancer of some sort. Some said he lured people in to steal their souls. Others said that he would make the dead speak and reveal secrets thought lost - for a price, of course.
Voldemort did not know what the truth was, and he did not care to know. The only thing Voldemort was concerned with was if the boy would prove useful.
(And putting an end to this maddening obsession).
___Harry was not particularly happy to find himself in the past, wearing somebody else’s skin, and without a single knut to his name. And he was even less enthusiastic to learn that he had caught Voldemort’s attention. But he would make do, as he always has done.

Summary
Fate has not forgotten Harry Potter, nor has Death.
In defeating Voldemort, Harry achieved more than peace for Britain—he earned eternity. Bound to Death against his will, Harry discovers that the Dark Lord was little more than a footnote in a much larger, crueller design.
Resistance, as they say, is futile, and Harry reluctantly begins to understand the cost of eternity. Power demands participation. Survival demands surrender. And love—whatever this is—demands transformation.
He also discovers that the afterlife is far beyond anything he ever imagined. It might even become something he could call home. But more importantly, it offers him something he never thought possible: a second chance.
Now, all he needs to figure out is whether that chance lies in the past or the future.
