It had started with a simple question.
Severus had been minding his own business in the Slytherin common room, flipping through his Potions textbook, when Lily - vibrant, stubborn, utterly out of place among the green and silver - strolled up to him and dropped onto the couch beside him. The air around her crackled with an energy that felt foreign and almost hostile in the dimly lit common room.
"Are you going to the Yule Ball?"
OR To defy a bully, Lily and Severus create a shocking Yule Ball spectacle, turning the night upside down.

He is asked to go back in time to deal with Voldemort and Dumbledore. Also to teach others that there is no real bad spells just bad intentions. That magic is magic there is no good and bad, it just is.
Severus goes and tries to save his relationship with Lily and save his mother while also dealing with his no good abusive father. Also dealing with James Potter who just won’t leave him alone. Plus his idiot friends, two of which just need to get together already!

During a meeting of the Slug Club, Severus Snape catches a glimpse of Lily. He fantasizes about regaining her friendship, and two timelines diverge.
In one world, Severus forced himself to ignore her. Lily had seen through all his lies. She had made it clear that, no matter what history they shared, she didn't want a Death Eater for a friend, and he'd already taken the Dark Mark. But in this world, the beginnings of a desperate plan filled his mind.
Later that night, Lily found a parchment crumpled into her pocket. It contained information on a raid planned by the Death Eaters, and a shaky half-crown that she recognized at once.
Or: Severus decides to turn traitor long before the prophecy was ever spoken. He loses Lily anyway, but the rest of the war goes off the rails.

Tensions run high as Dumbledore administers Veritaserum, forcing Snape to reveal uncomfortable truths—among them, an intimate relationship with a Death Eater. When the serum pushes him to the brink, Snape’s memories of a sexual encounter with Lucius Malfoy are projected for the Order to witness. The Order turns into chaos, some supporting the professor while some are simply disgusted.
With his secrets laid bare, Snape is left vulnerable, caught between two worlds, and wondering if he can ever truly trust anyone again.

Summary
Harry Potter clung to the surety of his son’s death, while also knowing that hope was igniting, painfully, in his heart.
“We captured a Death Eater today,” Ron said to Alexandra. Harry’s hands were shaking on the tabletop; all of a sudden, all of the hope and uncertainty he’d been veiling in front of the Death Eater shuttered to the surface. He let out a sound somewhere between a sob and a yell of surprise.
“It’s nothing. It’s probably nothing,” Harry said, shakily. His other hand raked it’s way through his hair. “I mean, he probably just…he probably just fooled me.”
Hope always did bring out his Gryffindor side, so it should surprise no one when Harry tosses together a barely-planned rescue mission, nor that it manages to work.
Getting Devlin back after nearly three years in Voldemort's clutches, however, is only the beginning. A tense story about loss and return, intermingled with the complexity of blood, love, choice, and served with a dash of politics and war (emerge more fully midway through).
While there is nothing overtly graphic described, I don't shy away from the realities of war and trauma.

Summary
One year after Voldemort killed Lily and James Potter, Severus Snape pays a visit to Number 4 Privet Drive. He has a duty to Lily Evans, the best friend he ever had, and therefore to her son and her sister. He finds himself assuming the role of the child's uncle. As it happens, the friendship between Severus Snape and Petunia Dursley changes both of them, both of their lives, Hogwarts, and their world's future for the better. (It's so much easier to be a good person when you're not clinically depressed, afraid for your family, or stuck in your past trauma).
This is a lengthy story meandering through Harry's childhood, with eventual plans to see it through his Hogwarts years and a very different resolution to canon. But in the meantime, the goal is cuteness and exploring a world with better-adjusted adults in it.
