Shinsou and Kaminari meet by chance their first year of high school and spend one whirlwind day together that changes the trajectory of their entire lives. They are forever on the edge of something beyond friendship, but never quite able to take the leap of faith for fear of tainting their memories of that one, perfect day.

Having a place to put his feelings is a good thing for Bakugou.

"You have hanahaki?!" Ochako screeches, and Izuku is suddenly very, very glad most of the dorm is out tonight—it's just him, Ochako, Tenya, and Shouto sprawled over the couch, and Katsuki studying in the kitchen. "What the hell?! How long?!"
"Um." Izuku thinks for a minute before leaning over the back of the couch. "Hey, Kacchan! Was it your sixth birthday or seventh when I started coughing up flowers?"
"It was my eighth, nerd," Katsuki calls back, not even looking up from his homework. "We went camping that year."
He snickers before adding, "Auntie thought you'd eaten the poison ivy."
Izuku turns back to the wide-eyed looks of shock on his friends' faces.
"Ten years, then," he tells them casually. "Wow, that's such a long time. A whole decade! Time sure does fly."

Everyone figured that Oikawa would be the first to find someone to start his own family with. In fact, Hanamaki and Matsukawa had even placed a bet on Oikawa settling down first, albeit it probably happening incidentally, though the two troublemakers would never reveal just how much money they laid down for this little wager.
In the end, both of them had lost because, much to everyone's surprise, especially the person who was being wagered over in the first place, the former ace of Seijoh and their best friend Iwaizumi had revealed one late night over a couple round of drinks that the girl he had mentioned about once or twice before was expecting.
And it was in that moment that the words which had left his childhood best friend's lips stung more than the many shots of tequila that Oikawa downed afterwards.
