This beast transformed from a random self-prompt one cold winter's night to see what happens if Spencer Reid loses it after prison into... this.

It really is a crazy train of epic, overly-descriptive proportions. Sorry about all the run-on sentences, I got carried away on a Faulkner kick and Absalom'd the shit out of this travesty. I have no regrets, it's a fanfic.

Expect an odyssey of emotion ending in kind of a lot of action and movement from its humble beginnings in that cellar. It starts dark and roller-coasters from there, there might even be a lick of fluff and humor hidden in the margins.

Spencer truly finds his white whale that night at the Ratskellar and the BAU gang just has to keep the ship afloat long enough to fish him from the waves before he drowns.

Now that I've hit complete on this beast, if you're just getting here I gotta tell you to be prepared for anything and everything. This is me writing for the first time in ten years. It all comes out.
