Summary
“It’s dangerous. If we crash, you’ll crush your legs into your abdomen, it will crush your organs, crack your ribs, and puncture your lungs. It would be a horrible way to die.” Leave it to Jisung to make jokes about dying a horrible death.
“You won’t crash.” As soon as the words leave his mouth, Jisung breaks hard. Hyunjin’s knees hit him in the chin, it puts painful pressure on his lower stomach, and he feels something pop. For a moment, his vision whites out and he’s scared the nausea will peak again but it doesn’t. There’s just pain so intense he struggles to keep quiet.
“Point taken.” Hyunjin plants his feet on the floor, rubbing his stomach with his hand. “That hurt.” Jisung and Felix laugh at the pout on his face, Felix with that dorky smile he saves for Hyunjin.---
Request: Hyunjin has felt off for days, but ignores it. It gradually gets worse, but he won't admit it until he gets stuck in an elevator with Felix. He starts to fail to give responses to Felix, turns out it's something serious.

Summary
“Hyunjin-ah.” Someone calls, snapping their fingers in front of his face. Hyunjin opens his eyes to meet Jeongin’s worried ones. A quick glance tells him all the others are also staring at him. “Are you low?”
“No, sorry. I just spaced out, sorry.” He’s apologizing too much, but he has no control over the words leaving his mouth. Despite the reassurance, Felix goes over to his bag that he left at the back of the stage and pulls out another juice box. Hyunjin is getting so sick of that juice, he needs to switch it out with something else.---

Summary
“Are you ready to get up?” The lump on the bed doesn’t move, but Hyunjin can tell he’s awake. Felix’s forehead is the only thing peeking out over the covers and Hyunjin can’t resist bending down to place a soft kiss there. His lips brush against the soft skin, feeling how warm he is.

Summary
Felix fumbles for the glucose meter on the nightstand, squinting at it when the lit-up screen burns his eyes. He stares at it for a while, seeing the number but not quite registering it. Once his brain catches up, he starts getting out of bed, trying to keep quiet so Hyunjin can go back to sleep.

Summary
“Why don’t you sit this one out?” Minho tries to sound kind, but the annoyance is clear in his voice.
“What?” Hyunjin asks, swallowing thickly. He’s never been asked to sit out on practice before. “I’m fine.” He adds in a small voice.
“No, you’re not.” Minho says. Hyunjin’s eyes flicker to Jeongin and Seungmin standing behind Minho, but they just nod along. His eyes find Felix’s, silently asking for his support, but he too agrees with Minho.---

Summary
He loses his balance again, waving his arms to try to regain it to no avail. Minho grabs his arm, but only gets a hold of the fabric of his shirt, it slips right out of his hand and Felix falls, hard, to the ground. The fall knocks the breath out of him.
Felix isn’t the first one to be dropped when they are still clumsily getting the footwork down. This isn’t even the first time he’s dropped today.---

Summary
The pulse in his throat happens again, stopping him in his tracks as he bends at the waist, supporting his weight with hands on his knees. He feels like he’s overheating as sweat runs down his back and his clammy hands slip down his knees. His heart is beating too fast and every cell in his body is on fire.
Hyunjin is immediately at his side, reaching out for him before remembering that Felix can’t stand being touched when he gets like this. From the outside, it’s hard to tell what kind of attack this is, if he can’t breathe because of his anxiety or if he really can’t breathe because of his lungs.---

“I really hope that mark isn’t from the fence.” Felix says, his fingers brushing lightly over Hyunjin’s forehead. Oh great, he hit his head hard enough to leave a visible mark, their stylists will not be pleased with that.

“Are you okay?” Hyunjin asks. He looks worried when Felix meets his eyes.
“Should I be?” Felix asks. There is not such thing as accepting his fate when he’s about to go on that rollercoaster. Hyunjin searches his face for a moment, his concern only deepening.
“I’m not talking about fear.” Hyunjin clarifies, and Felix sighs in defeat. He can never hide anything from Hyunjin.
“I’m gonna have a migraine.” Felix admits, looking down at his feet.---

Summary
At first, it’s just a feeling, a warmth that starts in his chest and spreads through his limbs, all the way to his fingers and toes. It feels safe and comforting. There’s a flash of an image, dark hair, smooth skin and soft lips, full of love, affection and care.
He can almost feel the soft lips from his memory against his own. Felix touches his lips with a finger, and they tingle with the memory. He can feel the person’s closeness like they’re with him, but when his eyes open, he’s still alone.
It suddenly hits him. The face in his memories becomes clear, Hyunjin. His lips subconsciously form around the name, the sound of it leaving him in a rush of air, like it is punched out of him.---
After a brain injury, Felix forgot his entire life, but slowly, he is starting to remember

Hyunjin turns to Felix. “What did hyung ask?”
“He was asking if we have any reason to be nervous.” Felix says. He doesn’t laugh at the misunderstanding, seeing how much it bothers Hyunjin. He has been deaf in his left ear for as long as he can remember, and most of the time it doesn’t bother him, but some days it really gets to him.
“And I said yes.” Hyunjin shakes his head at himself, lowering his gaze. If he could hear properly, he wouldn’t have made them late for soundcheck, and he wouldn’t have annoyed Changbin and misunderstood his question.---

Summary
A few minutes pass before Felix’s head peeks out of the door, beckoning Hyunjin inside. Hyunjin rolls his eyes, but enters, steeling himself for whatever Felix will attempt this time. Hyunjin can hear the snickering from outside.
Felix doesn’t flirt though, just points at his chest where his shirt is still unbuttoned. “My fingers are numb.” He says. Hyunjin sighs and does up the buttons for him. Then Felix points at his shoes and Hyunjin bends down to tie them. He expects some inappropriate comment about being on his knees, but Felix doesn’t say anything.---

Felix is on the last staircase when his heel lands too close to the edge and his foot slips right off, the momentum pulling him backwards. His speed is too high to break the fall; his body continuing to move after his hand presses against the step. There’s a sharp pain in the back his head, and a moment of confusion. He doesn’t know how to react and doesn’t really have the capacity to process what happened either.

Summary
Hyunjin watches videos of Felix doing interviews, looking pale and struggling with his voice. He keeps laughing nervously when his voice cracks, and his hand trembles no matter how tightly he grips the microphone. Hyunjin can tell that it only gets harder for him the later in the night it gets, his voice slowly giving out.
The videos of the runway are even harder to watch. Felix sits on the first row, trying so hard to stay engaged, but he’s struggling so much with keeping his eyes open. Hyunjin can see the small winces that follow the bobbing of his throat, but he keeps swallowing anyway, as if his body instinctively tries to clear away the irritation.---
Felix is far from home when he gets sick. Hyunjin doesn't care how long it'll take to get to him

Summary
“Wanted you.” Felix says, hitting Hyunjin right in the heart. He’s not about to make up some excuse to explain why he didn’t take on his usual role when Felix has migraines. It happens enough that everyone knows their task by now, and they were all thrown off by Hyunjin evading his usual task.
“Think I caught the bug.” Hyunjin admits in a whisper. He feels Felix react, tensing slightly and letting out a long breath. His hand moves to Hyunjin’s stomach, only to pull back when it does the opposite of soothing and Hyunjin whimpers embarrassingly, closing his eyes against the surge of nausea.---

Summary
Hyunjin startles awake when his phone vibrates in his hand. He looks around in confusion, sure that Felix would be back by now. He didn’t mean to fall asleep while waiting, and smiles when he sees Felix’s name on the screen.
“Mmm.” Hyunjin groans into the phone, not wanting to wake up too much and ruin his sleep.
“Am I speaking to Hwang Hyunjin?” The voice isn’t Felix’s. His blood goes cold and he almost wants to say no just so he doesn’t have to find out why someone who sounds so serious is calling from Felix’s phone.
“Yeah, that’s me.” Hyunjin confirms. He’s already moving out of bed, somehow knowing that he won’t get any more sleep tonight.
“I’m calling from Seoul National University Hospital Trauma Centre."---
Or: Felix doesn’t know how close he is to the edge. All it takes for him to fall is one wrong step.

Summary
“Sorry.” Hyunjin barely makes the sound, but he can tell that Felix hears him. He feels like he ruined the moment.
“Don’t apologize.” Felix is quick to say. “I’m not gonna be scared of touching you because you faint in my lap once.” Felix somehow knows exactly what to say. Hyunjin closes his eyes, breathing a little easier.
“I didn’t faint.” Hyunjin mumbles. There was no loss of consciousness, just a little slip, a small moment of being a little less conscious. There's a big difference.---
