Summary
"All of you fly home safely now," Jimmy said, reaching up to tip his hat downwards in farewell.
Jimmy nearly gasped when his hand gripped onto nothing.
His sheriff's hat wasn't on his head!
That could mean one of two things. It fell off as the group hurried to leave the mines or someone snatched it off of him while they were catching their breaths. Jimmy quickly ruled out the first option. He distinctly remembered firmly holding his hat in place while he pulled Gem along as the group booked it out of the mines. That only left the second option.
"Hey, who's got my hat?" Jimmy asked.

Summary
Scott broke out of his thoughts as he almost trampled a lonely red flower. He bent down and gently plucked it from the earth. Bringing it closer to his face to inspect it. A sweet scent filling his nostrils as he did.
"And hey, look! A poppy," Scott voiced to no one in particular, "What an ugly flower."

Summary
"Watch this everybody," Jimmy said as he held the apple in both of his hands with his thumbs over the top of it. He then pressed down on the apple and in one fluid motion, Jimmy split it in half with a satisfying snap.
"Woah," Katherine and Gem said simultaneously.
"What else can you do with those hands Jimmy?" Scott asked with a hint of mischief in his voice.
Jimmy's face turned a bright red and he let out a slew of no's while Scott giggled.
"Instead of flustering Jimmy for the umpteenth time, why don't you show us your party trick Smajor?" Pix suggested, to which Jimmy shot the archaeologist a grateful look.

Summary
The sound of something shuffling beside him drew Jimmy's attention. He groggily turned his head to the side and nearly fell backwards off the bed as he was overcome with shock. Laying right next to him, still asleep, was none other than Scott. His bare chest on full display and his wrists pinned above his head by a pair of handcuffs attached to the headboard. Memories of last night flooded Jimmy's hungover brain at the sight.

At first Katherine thought little of this. Sure, some of the things Joey said made her rather uncomfortable and a few of his threats made her fear for her safety. But, based on word of mouth, the pirate's bark was much worse than his bite. She didn't have to worry about Joey following through with any of his threats. Or at least succeeding in them anyway. With that in mind, Katherine thought that the pirate would simply grow tired of chasing after her when she was clearly uninterested.

With another sigh, Jimmy walked over to the chair. Unceremoniously plopping down on it after opening the window. The fresh air now flowing in did nothing to stave off the mix of emotions that were making Jimmy's heart ache. Anger, anxiety and confusion that was quickly devolving into fear and insecurity. All of that was better summed in one word.

Sausage stopped himself mid-sentence as he caught a glimpse of Scott's hands. Several of his fingers were bandaged. The few that weren't hidden beneath the off-white dressing looked red and slightly swollen. Particularly at the fingertips. What could have caused that?

Once Jimmy had finished his business and thoroughly washed his hands with Scott's rose scented soap, he exited the bathroom. He pulled the door closed behind him and began making his way towards the ladder. Straightening his vest and such as he walked. Not even half way across the room, Jimmy stopped. His gaze landing on something he wondered how he missed when he first passed it. Smack dab in the middle of Scott's bed laid a plushie. And not just any plushie like a llama, which would be very on brand for the ruler of Chromia, or some other animal. It was one of the Sheriff!

Jimmy opened and closed his mouth a few times. Trying to come up with something to get a one up on Scott. Ultimately, he couldn't think of anything and settled for averting his gaze again. The redness in his cheeks increasing as Scott giggled again.
"Looks like I can still surprise you," Scott said taking a few strides forward, making Jimmy yelp again and cling to him a bit tighter, "Good to know."
"How was I supposed to know you were strong enough to pick me up?" Jimmy asked.
"I'm strong enough to do more than just pick you up darling."

"And that's what happened," Katherine finished, picking up her teacup to take another sip.
Scott took a long sip from his own jasmine tea. Silence hanging over the pair as he took a few moments to process what he'd just been told. He glanced at the princess seated across from him and took in her happy demeanour. It looked like Katherine rather enjoyed the time she spent with Shelby. Perhaps just as much, if not more than the witch herself. That's when a cheeky idea crossed Scott's mind. He smiled behind his teacup and took one more sip before speaking.
"Sounds like a date to me."

"Morning Scott," fWhip said, flashing the colourful man in his bed a smile.
"Morning," Scott grumbled hoisting himself up onto his elbows. The motion made him feel just how hot, sticky and sweaty his body was. He internally cringed at the gross feeling. Scott then shuffled so he was sitting up with his back against the headboard and let out a low hiss. His legs were incredibly sore.

A smile found its way onto Scott's face at that thought. It was absolutely adorable how much Jimmy worried for his safety. Even though the sheriff likely wouldn't admit it out loud any time soon, Scott found comfort in knowing he was truly cared for. With that in mind, he shifted so he could look at Jimmy only to suddenly still when he finally felt the weight on his shoulder. Scott slowly turned his head to the side and titled it down to look at the source. His heart skipped a beat at the sight that greeted him.

"Wow," Katherine said as she took quick breaths, staring at the drowned's trident now lodged in the deck a tad behind the spot where she once was, "You have really good reflexes."
The princess received no reply. She only heard the shaky, shallow breaths of the man holding onto her. His grip just shy of painful. Katherine tilted her head upwards and gave the pirate a worried look. His expression was one of complete and utter fear. Blue-green eyes blown wide and glazed over as if he weren't there in the present. Rather, it looked like he was transported to some moment in the past. A very scary moment if his haunted appearance was anything to go by.

Panic flowed through Pirate Joe then. His eyes darted all around and he felt a bit of adrenaline speeding up his heartrate. The urge to breathe quickly came with it. He fought it off and willed his panic to subside. Joe couldn't draw in a breath right now let alone open his mouth a fraction. If he did, he would only let copious amounts of saltwater into his lungs. Said organs were starting to burn as the air in them was slowly used up.

Lightning flashed and thunder boomed. Dark clouds loomed overhead and rain fell in heavy sheets. The strong winds blew harshly against the sails. Threatening to rip the cloth apart. Wave after ferocious wave beat against the pirate ship. The two crewmates on board swaying from the impact as their captain desperately tried to keep his hands on the wheel and steady their vessel. He currently wasn't having much success with that.

"Can we just get on with it, Mack?" the original man asked, not giving Scott a chance to respond, "I know you want to see Dylan work his magic as much as I do."
Scott glanced towards the last of the four men. This so called Dylan had remained quiet throughout the entire interaction. Except for joining in on the laughter earlier. A shiver ran down Scott's spine as Dylan locked eyes with him. The gleam in his grey eyes was sinister. The corner of Dylan's lips twitched upwards occasionally but never formed a full smile. This was much more serious than Scott initially thought. He needed to find a way out of here and quick.
"Alright Josh," Mack said, twisting the cloth in his hands, "let's do it."

For umpteenth time, Skeletron smirked. He signaled for his crony to retract the arrow aimed at Pirate Gator with his raised hand. A wave of relief washed over almost everyone in the room. Joe obviously wasn't relieved as this situation was far from over. Skeletron's next words only reinforced that ideology.
"There you go ladybird," he cooed, "That wasn't so hard, was it?"
Joe bit his tongue to the point it nearly bled so he wouldn't snap back.
"Now I only have one more thing to ask of you," Skeletron continued, "Kneel."

"Tell me if it's too tight," Jimmy said.
Scott hummed in response. A morbid curiosity for what Jimmy could be using to restrain him coursed through him. Was it one of his spare neckerchiefs? Perhaps a few zip ties? Was he going to tie up his legs too? The mystery behind it all made Scott excited in more ways than one. Said excitement shattered as he felt an all too familiar material wrap around his wrists.

Speaking of his hat, Sausage finally took it out of his inventory after releasing Joel from his hug. Jimmy nearly sighed in relief at the sight of Sausage holding it out for him to take. It seemed that there would be no shenanigans to get it back. All Jimmy had to do was take it and put it on then Joel's fun and games would be over.
Oh, how wrong he was.
