Lance bit back his feelings and focused on where the shot came from. A man wearing metal armor with a staff was coming towards them from his crashed ship nearby. Lance couldn't believe it. The man was Human. From a distance, it was hard to be sure, but, as the man got closer, Lance saw his ears. Rounded. Not another colony of brainwashed Alteans, then. Lance transformed his sword into a rifle, barely aiming before he took his shot. Straight through the heart.
