Summary
“Techno! Wilbur!” Phil called from the kitchen. It wasn’t a very big apartment, so they would hear him, no doubt. “Dinner, you two!”
Phil moved to the drawer to get out the utensils, pulling out forks, just three, and setting them at the places. Tommy didn’t need one, he would eat with his fingers anyway.
He faced down the hallway, where none of the doors were open, and there were no sounds at all from the two rooms.
He sighed, pulling a hand through his hair. He only had a few hours until he had to leave for patrol, and he really wanted a family dinner.
“Boys?”
No answer.
Phil and his kids have been having a hard few months. He promises himself it will get better.or

Summary
The kid was sitting on the front steps of the house’s porch when Sam pulled the car into the driveway. His friend was sitting next to him and might have been saying something, but from the mask that covered his face, it was hard to tell.
The blonde kid wasn’t speaking back to him. He kept his face resting on his knees, a futile attempt to cover the tear tracks.
“Mrs. Beloved?” Sam greeted the mother as she walked up to him, she nodded gently.
“Thank you for coming, officer.” Her voice was soft, though clearly worn away by the recent endeavors. “You’ve probably heard the situation?”
He nodded in return. The blonde boy, Tommy, was a runaway from the group home. A few officers had been out looking for him all night, and he was just called in here.
“My son was friends with him in the group home, we adopted Ranboo just a week ago,” she nodded to the other boy, the one with the mask. “That’s why he ran here.”
That made much more sense.
“Trouble adjusting to the change, then?” Sam made a move to walk over, but she put a hand on his arm.
“Tommy’s… not a big fan of police. Take it easy with him.”or

Summary
It was like people were disappearing off the face of the earth. It started back when Dream didn’t return from his patrol, and no one really thought much of it. Dream was a mysterious man, and if he had seen something and had gone to track it down, he could handle his own.
Which meant that when others started to disappear too, Dream wasn’t there to puzzle together the situation like he was known for.
Which meant that Tommy had no guidance.
