Summary
Stanford Pines, blessed with the freedom only a large sum of grant money can bring, flees to the mysterious and fantastical Gravity Falls. What he will discover are not just creatures of unimaginable improbability, but his destiny--- to be a prophet, a harbinger, and an apostle. Fighting a crushing loneliness that lingers deep within his chest, and searching ever more desperately for his true purpose, Pines unravels the myths of Gravity Falls. Little does he know what he truly chases is what will become his Muse--- his God. As Pines digs deeper into Gravity Falls, the town digs deeper into him--- until, eventually, they are inextricably intertwined.

Or, while Ford was building a portal and chumming it up with a dream demon, where in the world was Stan? Nowhere good, I'll tell you that.
Title from “Ozymandias” by Percy Bysshe Shelley.
((Starlight // Statues // Sandfall is a series of independently constructed but ultimately connected works; each can be read as a standalone but, like the twins they depict, are better understood when taken together.))
