It wasn’t real, but it may as well have been. It was real enough, the way it looked and felt and simply was. The wet cool of the air was just that side of uncomfortable, the curl of steam from his coffee enough to keep him seated.Series

Summary
In which Chuck sets about creating a new generation of angels and decides the best way to avoid mistakes of the past is by having them live and grow on Earth before ever setting foot in Heaven.
“It only makes the most sense,” Chuck had said.
“It should only be a two-year time period,” he’d assured, “then they’ll be fully grown adult angels.”
“Who better to help raise and teach a new generation of angels? Where better than the bunker? They need you.”
Dumbass that he was, Dean’s only stipulation had been that if they had to raise them, they got to name them, because seriously, he was not dealing with a whole much more Jazriel, Miniel, Jediahel, -el, -el, -els all the livelong day, especially when this was basically an experiment in angel rearing.

Summary
“What’s bothering you, Cas?”
“It’s nothing, Dean.”
"Clearly,” he answered as he settled onto the stool across the table.
Castiel didn’t meet his gaze, movements anxious and unhappy with no outlet to focus on. Dean waited, knowing the levee would break when already so full of cracks.
“This isn’t what I wanted for him,” Cas snapped out, then quickly tried to rein his reaction back in with a forced calm, palms flat and fingers splayed, “It isn’t the life I wanted for him.”

Summary
It was a silly, ridiculous, even over-the-top idea, but Dean figured they’d earned a few ridiculous ideas in the name of fun. They certainly didn’t get them handed to them often and they needed a reason to laugh or smile.
He couldn’t held the grin splitting his features as he stood in the hall outside the bedrooms and started banging two baking sheets together, the metallic crashing amplified in the corridors.
“Alright, rise and shine, you guys! It’s Easter, make like Jesus and wake up!”

Summary
In Castiel's defense, the Men of Letters archive rooms held not only artifacts and files but acted as general storage. The shelves and floor space were cluttered with boxes of perfectly normal, though excess, items. It was as if someone had cleaned out their basement, intended to separate things into piles of things to keep and those to throw out... yet never getting around to finishing it.
In their search, Sam found a rough inventory list. Dean found a different one. And then a second list.
Reading over the paperwork, it was unclear which items were already stored or in preparation for storage. It also wasn't clear which boxes were occultly related or someone's junk.
Clearly, in hindsight, that particular knicknack had not been someone’s junk.

Summary
Prepare for trouble.
Make it double.
Gabriel.
Meg.
--
“So what do you think?” Gabriel asked.
The demon beside him had her fingers stuck in her jeans, a serpentine swagger to her hips and walk as they made their way through the park.
Tossing her head, Meg’s dark eyes slid around, taking in their new surroundings, the people feeding ducks, kids chasing each other around in a game of tag. “It’s Earth,” she commented dryly. “Just not the one we remember.”
He scoffed and waved a hand. “Yeah, but it’s not that different. It’s Earth, but, like… Earth Adjacent. An alternate universe where everything’s the same except they don’t have the color purple--”
“I like the color purple.”
His head dropped back. “It’s an example. Obviously, they have the color purple, what reality doesn’t have the color purple, but they might not have… I don’t know, blueberry Pop-Tarts. Or Pop-Tarts, at all.” He gestured with his hands, holding them in one spot, then moving them to another. “So, it’s the same, but different.”
