And yet there’s something strange about this Brooklyn, something he can’t identify.
He can’t quite put his finger on it. It’s like a shadow just outside your peripheral vision or a word you can’t remember on the tip of your tongue. Everything looks as it should — or as Steve supposes it should, never having lived through the 50s himself — and yet something doesn’t sit right.
The strangeness only intensifies when a shadow does appear in Steve’s peripheral vision, and he turns his head to see James Buchanan Barnes walk around the corner.
