He’s made it his mission to not only prevent Emma’s untimely death, but to try to get her to a point where she’s living again, rather than just surviving. He’s really got his work cut out for him.

This is a “Ripple Effect” fix.
While I love the hug that Sam and Janet get at the end of that episode and while I sprinkle that far and wide across the interwebs using the gif I obviously had to create of that wonderful scene… my question about that episode has always remained:
Zero interaction other than that hug, really? Really!?
So, I rewrote the episode and laid out a little pre-episode S/J backstory to get us off on the right, lovey-dovey, flirty foot.As for the rating: there most likely will be an explicit chapter but I'll put that in the notes when it happens, so you can avoid it if you wish to do so.
